An electronic device having an element body, wherein dielectric layers and internal electrode layers are alternately stacked, wherein a hetero phase is formed in the dielectric layers and/or the internal electrode layers; and the hetero phase includes a Mg element and a Mn element. Preferably, the hetero phase is formed at least at a part near boundaries of the dielectric layers and the internal electrode layers.

A multilayer ceramic capacitor having a laminate including alternately stacked dielectric layers of a sintered compact composed of crystal particles of a dielectric porcelain composite and internal-electrode layers. The dielectric porcelain composite comprises a primary constituent containing barium titanate; a first accessory constituent composed of at least one of MgO, CaO, BaO, and SrO; a second accessory constituent containing silicon oxide as a major constituent; a third accessory constituent composed of at least one of VO, MoO, and WO; a fourth accessory constituent composed of an oxide of R1 (wherein R1 is at least one of Sc, Er, Tm, Yb, and Lu); a fifth accessory constituent composed of CaZrOor a combination of CaO and ZrO; and a sixth accessory constituent composed of an oxide of R2 (wherein R2 is at least one of Y, Dy, Ho, Tb, Gd, and Eu).

A dielectric ceramic composition comprised of at least dielectric particles having barium titanate as its main ingredient, wherein the ratio of dielectric particles having a surface diffusion structure comprised of a main ingredient phase comprised of the main ingredient and a diffusion phase present around the main ingredient phase with respect to said dielectric particles is 60% or more and the ratio of dielectric particles having a domain in the main ingredient phase with respect to the dielectric particles having the surface diffusion structure is 20% or less. According to the present invention, a dielectric ceramic composition and electronic device realizing good high temperature accelerated life can be provided.

Method of producing a dielectric ceramic composition

A ceramic electronic device including a dielectric layer, wherein the dielectric layer includes a main component expressed by a composition formula of BaTiO, wherein 'm' satisfies 0.995&#x2266;m&#x2266;1.010 and a ratio of Ba and Ti satisfies 0.995&#x2266;Ba/Ti&#x2266;1.010, and a subcomponent (a sixth subcomponent) including an oxide of Al; and a content of the Al compound is 0 to 4.0 moles (note that 0 is not included) in terms of AlOwith respect to 100 moles of the main component; and preferably, the dielectric layer includes a segregation phase, and the segregation phase includes an oxide of Al.

A dielectric ceramic composition having a main ingredient including a dielectric oxide expressed by the formula {(MeCa)O}.(ZrTi)O, where the symbol Me indicating the name of the element in said formula is at least one of Sr, Mg, and Ba and where the symbols m, x, and y indicating the molar ratios of the formulation in the formula are in relationships of 0.995&#x2266;m&#x2266;1.020, 0&#x3c;x&#x2266;0.15, and 0&#x2266;y&#x2266;1.00, a first sub ingredient including an oxide of R (where R is a rare earth element), a second sub ingredient including an oxide of Mg, and a third sub ingredient including an oxide of Mn, wherein the ratios of the sub ingredients with respect to 100 moles of the main ingredient are first sub ingredient: 0.1 to 6 moles (value converted to oxide of R), second sub ingredient: 0.1 to 5 moles (value converted to oxide of Mg), and third sub ingredient: 0.1 to 2.5 moles (value converted to oxide of Mn), said dielectric ceramic composition further having as a fourth sub ingredient an oxide of A (where A is at least one type of element selected from the group of anionic elements having an effective ion radius at the time of hexacoordination of 0.065 nm to 0.085 nm).

Dielectric ceramic composition and electronic device

A ceramic electronic device having a dielectric layer, wherein the dielectric layer includes a main component containing a (Ba, Ca (Ti, Zr)Obased material and a subcomponent containing an oxide of Si; and a content of the Si oxide is 0 to 0.4 wt % (note that 0 is not included) with respect to the entire dielectric layer; and preferably the dielectric layer has a segregation phase; and the segregation phase contains an oxide of Si and substantially not containing an oxide of Li; by which it is possible to provide a ceramic electronic device, such as a multilayer ceramic capacitor, having a low IR defect rate (initial insulation resistance defect rate), excellent high temperature load lifetime and high reliability.

A production method of a multilayer electronic device having an element body configured by alternately stacked dielectric layers formed by using dielectric paste and internal electrode layers formed by using conductive paste: wherein an adding quantity of a co-material included in conductive paste for forming internal electrode layers at the outermost positions in the stacking direction is larger than an adding quantity of a co-material included in conductive paste for forming internal electrode layers at the center position in the stacking direction when adding conductive particles and co-material particles to the conductive paste.

A dielectric ceramic composition including dielectric particles comprising a main ingredient phase having barium titanate as its main ingredient and a diffusion phase present at the periphery of said main ingredient phase, wherein when an average value of the depth where sub ingredient elements present at said diffusion phase diffuses from a surface of said diffusion phase toward a center of said dielectric particle is designated as an average diffusion depth, a dispersion of the average diffusion depth among the dielectric particles is, in terms of CV value, 5 to 30%. According to the present invention, an electronic device excellent in all of the dielectric constant, high temperature accelerated life, TC bias, and IR temperature dependency can be provided.

A dielectric ceramic composition comprising a main component including barium titanate and an oxide of Al, wherein the dielectric ceramic composition includes a plurality of dielectric particles, concentration of Al in each of the dielectric particles becomes lower from a particle surface to inside thereof, and each of the dielectric particles has an Al non-dispersed region substantially not including Al at least at a center portion of the particle.
