A management device that manages a task that is executed by a plurality of users cooperatively includes an electronic data access unit, a management unit, and a past task storage unit. The electronic data access unit accesses electronic data. The management unit manages, for each task executed using the management device, task information in which pieces of authentication information of the users who have participated in the task are associated with access destination information indicating an access destination of the electronic data accessed by the electronic data access unit in the task. The past task storage unit stores therein the task information of a past task executed using the management device. The management unit generates the task information of a new task based on the task information of the past task that is stored in the past task storage unit.

A management device manages information of a task having been executed by users cooperatively. An electronic data access unit accesses electronic data by using authentication information of a corresponding user. A management unit manages, for each task, task information in which pieces of authentication information of the users having participated in the task are associated with access destination information. A receiver receives a request, from a user, for access to the electronic data. When the electronic data access unit needs the authentication information of a user different from the requester user having participated in the task same as the task in which the requester user has participated to access the electric data as a target of the request, the electronic data access unit acquires the authentication information of the different user based on the task information and accesses the electronic data using the acquired authentication information of the different user.

There is provided a document retrieval apparatus in which signatures can be easily extracted from document data, and false drop probability is reduced even for a long document so as to reduce a burden of eliminating the false drop. A processing unit converts the document data and the character string into character codes, respectively. The processing unit extracts signatures from each of the character codes, and calculates a record identifier of the document data to be stored based on a storing position of the document data in a record file. A data storing unit stores the document data to be registered in the record file, and stores the signature corresponding to the document data to be registered in a signature file. The signature is stored in a storing position in the signature file, the storing position being designated by the record identifier of corresponding document data stored in the record file. The processing unit retrieves the document data containing a character string identical to the character string to be searched for by referring to a record identifier calculated based on a storing position of the signature in a signature file.
