In the paper feeding roller, a shaft body has a cantilever structure supported at one end, and an elastic layer includes a supported end and a free end on both ends along a rotation axis, wherein an outer diameter of the free end in a cross section orthogonal to the rotational axis is greater than that of the supported end, and an area including the free end has a widened bottom part having an outer diameter which widens in a linear or inner convex manner approaching the free end along the rotation axis. The paper feeding device includes a feed roller rotationally driven and conveying paper, and a retard roller pressed against the feed roller, affixed with a torque limiter, and suppressing double feeding of paper. At least one of the feed roller and the retard roller is formed as the paper feeding roller.

Paper feeding roller and paper feeding device

A paper feeding roll includes a shaft body and an elastic material layer. A first outer diameter portion and a second outer diameter portion having a larger outer diameter than the first outer diameter portion are provided in a portion where the elastic material layer is provided. A sloping portion is provided connecting between the first and second outer diameter portions so that the outer diameter varies along an axial direction. The sloping portion occupies 3% to 80% of the portion where the elastic material layer is provided. A difference in outer diameter between the first and second outer diameter portions is 50 μm to 1,000 μm. Protrusions that form surface unevenness are formed on an outer peripheral surface of the elastic material layer. Surface roughness of the first outer diameter portion is 50% to 200% of a step difference between the first and second outer diameter portions.

Paper feeding roll and method for manufacturing same

A paper feeding rollis provided with an axial bodyand an elastic layerformed on an outer periphery of the axial body. The circumferential surface of the elastic layerhas a plurality of projectionsforming surface unevenness. Each projectionof the plurality of projectionsis shaped such that a position X of a distal-end part preceding in an opposite direction to a paper feeding direction precedes, in the opposite direction to the paper feeding direction, a position Y of a base-end part preceding in the opposite direction to the paper feeding direction.

Paper feeding roll

The present disclosure provides a cleaning blade capable of improving chipping resistance. A cleaning blade includes a blade part made of polyurethane and having an edge that comes in slidable contact with a mating part. The edge includes: a base material containing polyurethane; an impregnated layer containing polyurethane in the base material and a cured acrylic product and present from the surface through to the inside of the base material; and a particle layer containing particles supported by the surface of the base material. The average particle diameter of the particles is between 3 nm and 100 nm, inclusive. The thickness of the impregnated layer is 30 nm or greater and less than 1000 nm. The edge has an area ratio of the particle layer to the impregnated layer that is between 5% and 30%, inclusive in a cross section perpendicular to the surface of the base material.

The modified rubber elastic bodyhas a rubber elastic bodyhaving rubber elasticity and a surface-treated layercomposed of a cured product of photocurable composition impregnated into the rubber elastic bodyfrom the surface thereof. The photocurable composition is configured to include a (meth)acryl monomer, a photopolymerizable polymer having a silicone group and/or a fluorine-containing group and a (meth)acryloyl group in a molecule, and a photopolymerization initiator.

Electrophotographic device member

A developing roll which may reduce stress imparted on toner and have uniform transportability of toner. The developing roll comprises a shaft, an elastic layer provided on an outer peripheral surface of the shaft, and a cylindrical outermost layer provided directly or indirectly via a layer on an outer peripheral surface of the elastic layer, wherein an outer peripheral surface of the outermost layer is formed into a rough surface by distribution of multiple dimples in such a manner that open ends thereof do not overlap one another on the surface and a portion other than the dimples on the rough surface forms a remaining portion of a cylindrical shape.
