In order to reduces a risk that a user of a baggage check-in machine is infected with a virus or the like, a baggage check-in machine () includes: an inner display () that displays an image which includes an operation target region and which is related to baggage check-in; an image formation section () that causes the image displayed on the inner display () to be formed as an aerial image in air around the baggage check-in machine (); an operation identification section () that identifies an operation conducted with respect to a part in the aerial image which corresponds to the operation target region; and a process performance section () that carries out, in accordance with the operation which has been identified, a process related to the baggage check-in.

Baggage deposit machine

A conveying apparatus that increases the conveying speed of a conveyance object, and improves reliability and conveyance efficiency at low cost. Acceleration/deceleration sections, each of which includes a plurality of variable-speed conveyance sections, are provided among constant-speed conveyance sections. The conveying speed of a conveyance object is continuously accelerated or decelerated while the conveyance object passes through the acceleration/deceleration sections. This changes the conveying speed from the conveying speed of the upstream constant-speed conveyance section to the conveying speed of the downstream constant-speed conveyance section. Thus, it is controlled that the conveying speed and the conveyance acceleration/deceleration is identical between the upstream conveyance section and the downstream conveyance section when the conveyance object is transferred from the upstream conveyance section to the downstream conveyance section.

A movable rack system able to carry out a widthwise shift control of a movable rack without using a sheet rail member to be detected. The system is so configured, that magnets are placed at stop positions of the movable rack on the floor surface as members to be detected, while the movable rack is equipped with magnetic sensors to detect the magnets. When the movable rack stops traveling, the magnetic sensors detect the magnets and compares the detected magnetic intensity to the magnetic intensity detected at the previous stop. If the change exceeds a pre-determined value, namely the widthwise shift exceeding a pre-determined value is detected, a travel route of the movable rack to eliminate the widthwise shift is determined. In the next travel of the movable rack the rotation speeds of the respective driving motors are controlled so that the movable rack follows the travel route.

A multi-deck parking structure includes a plurality of decks for storing pallets constructed to carry vehicles, respectively, an entrance section for receiving and delivering vehicles, and a movable unit for moving upward and downward through a vertical shaft extending laterally of the decks into the entrance section, to transport the pallets between the entrance section and the decks. The movable unit has pallet supporting fork assemblies extendible to and retractable from the decks, and footpath floors for allowing a person to walk thereon. The footpath floors are vertically movable relative to the pallet supporting fork assemblies. The entrance section includes an adjusting device for keeping the footpath floors substantially level with floor surfaces of the entrance section and supporting surfaces of the pallet supporting fork assemblies when the movable unit is placed in the entrance section, and lowering the footpath floors below the supporting surfaces of the pallet supporting fork assemblies when the pallet supporting assemblies are in a position to extend to or retract from the decks.

The invention relates to a control system for an automatic warehousing facility. Receipt into and disbursement from racks capable of storing goods in a plurality of lots are carried out by a goods handling device. A control panel disposed at the ground side controls the handling device to control incoming and outgoing handling of goods. Inventory control is carried out by manipulating a plurality of switches provided on the control panel. Maintenance and abnormality control of goods entry and delivery equipment are also carried out.

A safety arrangement for an automatic warehousing facility is disclosed. A traveling crane adapted to perform goods take-in and take-out operations is provided which is movable on a path provided between and extending along a plurality of three-dimensional racks arranged in parallel for storage of goods. There is provided a safety arrangement for safeguarding any operator from possible danger when he inadvertently enters the path of crane movement while the crane is in automatic operation, and for preventing the crane from moving when the operator is present within the path of crane movement. The safety arrangement includes a device for stopping the crane when an open/close door of a safety enclosure provided at one end of the crane movement path is opened.
