A battery monitoring device includes a control unit; electric elements respectively connected in parallel to battery cells; main analog-digital converters that are respectively connected to the battery cells via the electric elements, and respectively detect voltages of the battery cells; and sub analog-digital converters that are respectively connected to the battery cells without using the electric elements, and respectively detect the voltages of the battery cells. The control unit is configured to determine whether there is a failure in each electric element based on a first voltage detection value detected by the main analog-digital converter, and a second voltage detection value detected by the sub analog-digital converter. The control unit is configured to limit a control range of a degree of charge as compared to that used during a normal control, when it is determined that there is a leak failure in at least one of the electric elements.

Battery monitoring device

An exposed connecting portion is formed by partially removing a film substrate by such laser etching while leaving a transmission line pattern. A film-type transmission line is placed in such a manner as to overlap the exposed connecting portion and a transmission line pattern on a side to be connected. Bonding, for example thermo compression bonding, is applied to the two overlapped line patterns. Since a gold ribbon is not used and overlapping of a high-dielectric substrate and the film substrate is unnecessary, impedance irregularity is reduced. This makes it possible to carry out bonding without the medium of the film substrate and a connection with high reliability may be achieved.

Producing method of a film-type transmission line and method of connecting to an existing line

A displacement detection device and a wire therefor in which the drawbacks of the conventional Elinvar-type alloy are eliminated, the magnetostriction intensity as well as the magnetostriction propagation speed does not vary with temperature, and a magnetostriction coefficient is sufficiently great to enable an amplification at a high speed of response to be unnecessary. A magnetostrictive wire used in a displacement detection device together with a magnetostriction-generating magnet disposed close thereto and movable relative thereto, said wire substantially composed of 35 to 60 wt % Ni and the balance consisting of Fe and unavoidable impurities, cold-wire-drawn and then heat-treated and having a magnetostriction coefficient greater than that exhibited in an as-cold-wire-drawn state. A displacement detection device includes the above-mentioned magnetostrictive wire and a magnetostrictive-generating magnet disposed movable relative thereto and therealong for detecting a relative displacement between the magnetostrictive wire and the magnet based on a time of propagation, through the wire, of a magnetostriction signal generated in the wire in the portion close to the magnet by a pulse current applied to the wire.
