Control device

A vehicle control apparatus selects one of a power-on control and a power-off control for execution of a shift-down action in a transmission of a vehicle, and implements the selected power-on or power-off control. When a running speed of the vehicle is not lower than a predetermined value, the control apparatus selects one of the power-on control and the power-off control, based on a target input torque that is to be inputted to the transmission. When the vehicle running speed is lower than the predetermined value, the control apparatus selects one of the power-on control and the power-off control, based on an actual input torque that is actually inputted to the transmission.

A control apparatus for a vehicle provided with a step-variable transmission which is disposed between drive wheels and a drive power source including at least an engine, and which is shifted by changing operating states of coupling devices, the control apparatus including an engine stability time estimating portion configured to estimate a length of stability time required for stabilization of an output state of the engine, when a determination to implement a power-on shift-down action of the step-variable transmission is made, and a control portion configured to delay a moment of generation of a shift-down command to implement the power-on shift-down action of the step-variable transmission, with respect to a moment of the determination to implement the power-on shift-down action, where the estimated length of stability time is longer than a predetermined value.

A control apparatus for a vehicle includes a vehicle driving control portion configured to permit reverse driving of the vehicle in a reverse direction while the automatic transmission is placed in a forward-drive low-speed gear position, with the motor/generator being operated in a negative direction to generate a negative torque, and a transmission shifting control portion configured to implement a control for promotion to establish the forward-drive low-speed gear position, when switching from forward driving of the vehicle to its reverse driving of the vehicle is required in the process of a shifting action of the automatic transmission to the forward-drive low-speed gear position. A control apparatus for a vehicle includes a control portion configured to control an input torque to an automatic transmission such that a value representing a rotating state of an input rotary member of the automatic transmission coincides with a target value; a racing determining portion configured to determine whether a rotating speed of an engine is predicted to exceed a predetermined rotating speed when control is provided such that the value representing the rotating state of the input rotary member of the automatic transmission coincides with the target value during a power-on shift-down action of the automatic transmission; and an output limiting portion configured to limit the output torque of the engine to a predetermined torque or less if the rotating speed of the engine is predicted to exceed the predetermined rotating speed during the power-on shift-down action of the automatic transmission.

Control apparatus for hybrid vehicle

A control apparatus for a hybrid vehicle, having an engine, an electric motor, and an automatic transmission which is placed in a selected speed position with engagement of selected at least one of coupling devices, includes: an input torque control portion controlling the electric motor for controlling an input torque transmitted to the automatic transmission during a shifting action of the automatic transmission, based on output torque of the engine and torque transmitted through the coupling devices, such that a value representing a rotating state of an automatic transmission input rotary member coincides with a target value. The input torque control portion controls the input torque to be not smaller than a predetermined lower limit, when a running state of the hybrid vehicle is switched from a power-on state to a power-off state during a shift-down action of the automatic transmission in the power-on state.

A control apparatus for a hybrid vehicle provided with an engine, a differential mechanism having a first rotary element to which the engine is operatively connected, a second rotary element to which a first motor/generator is operatively connected, and a third rotary element to which an intermediate power transmitting member is connected, a second motor/generator operatively connected to the intermediate power transmitting member, and an automatic transmission which constitutes a part of a power transmitting path between the intermediate power transmitting member and drive wheels and in which a shifting action is performed by selective engagement of a plurality of coupling devices, the control apparatus comprising: a hybrid control portion for controlling an output torque of the first motor/generator and an output torque of the second motor/generator during the shifting action of the automatic transmission on the basis of an output torque of the engine and a transmitted torque of the coupling devices, such that an angular acceleration value of the second motor/generator and an angular acceleration value of the engine coincide with respective target values; a limited state determining portion for determining whether the output torque of the first motor/generator is in a limited state of being limited lower than a predetermined load capable of ensuring a shift-progressing torque necessary for progress of a power-on shift-down action of the automatic transmission; and an output limiting portion for limiting the output torque of the engine to a predetermined torque or less if the output torque of the first motor/generator is in the limited state during the power-on shift-down action of the automatic transmission.

On condition that output of a torque of not lower than a preset reference torque from a motor continues for at least a predetermined time period in a vehicle stop state with output of a corresponding torque from the a second motor based on a detected accelerator opening, a torque command of the second motor is set to decrease the output torque of said motor by a torque decrease rate, which is set according to the corresponding torque and the accelerator opening in the vehicle stop state (initial accelerator opening). After a changeover of a current crowding phase in the second motor, the torque command of said motor is set to increase the output torque of said motor by a torque increase rate, which is set according to the accelerator opening in the vehicle stop state.

Vehicle and driving system for vehicle installation

When a gear of a transmission for transmitting torque of a motor to a drive shaft is shifted while an accelerator is off or an accelerator pedal is slightly stepped on, an upper limit rotation speed is set using a fluctuation rate of a value smaller than a value when the gear is not shifted, a target rotation speed of an engine is set using this upper limit rotation speed, and control is carried out so that an engine is operated at the target rotation speed. By this arrangement, when the accelerator pedal is stepped on and a large torque demand is demanded, rise of the engine rotation speed is restricted, a portion used for raising the rotation speed in power outputted from the engine is made smaller, and a larger power can be outputted to the drive shaft.

When a malfunction occurs in drive shaft rotational speed detection portion () or/and rotating shaft rotational speed detection portion (), the control is performed while at least one of change in speed ratio, intermittent operation, and output of drive power required for shaft () to shaft () is limited so that a drive power that approximates required drive power as closely as possible is output to drive shaft ().

Power output apparatus, vehicle including power output apparatus, and control unit and method for power output apparatus

In a drive system, where power from a motor is transmitted to a drive shaft and a transmission ratio is changed by a transmission, if the absolute value of the difference between the reference torque Tmr, which is the drive shaft side torque Tmr at the onset of a change in the shift speed of the transmission, and the driving shaft side torque Tmr during the change is less than the threshold value &#x3b1; until the end of the change (S), the application state of a brake in the transmission during the change and the state of the hydraulic pressure supplied to the brake are learned (S). During the change, and actuator of the transmission is controlled using those learned results. Accordingly, any deviations that may have occurred due to changes over time in the transmission, etc. are corrected and the shift speed of the transmission is changed more appropriately.

Drive system, power output system incorporating the drive system, a vehicle equipped with the power output system, and control method for a drive system

In the presence of a torque change request (step S) for changing a torque Tmof one motor MGto enable a smooth gearshift of a transmission interposed between a motor and a driveshaft, when the change of the torque Tmis unattainable within the range of an input limit Win and an output limit Wout of a battery (step S), the power output apparatus of the invention resets a torque command Tm* of the other motor MGto be within the input limit Win and the output limit Wout of the battery (steps Sand S). The power output apparatus also resets an engine power demand Pe* to make a rotation speed Ne of an engine approximately equal to a target rotation speed Ne* (steps Sand S). This arrangement ensures a smooth gearshift of the transmission.

Power output apparatus

A power output apparatus that suppresses wearing-out of the components of a transmission connected to a drive shaft and a rotating shaft of an electric motor as well as reducing the a shock imparted to the vehicle. The required drive power is output to the drive shaft by appropriately controlling and internal combustion engine, a power split device, the electric motor and a shifting portion. When the rotational speed of the drive shaft can be estimated, the speed ratio in the shifting portion is changed based on either the detected rotational speed of the drive shaft or the estimated rotational speed of the drive shaft and the rotational speed of the rotating shaft. However, when the rotational speed of the drive shaft cannot be estimated, the speed ratio is maintained in the shifting portion.

In a motor vehicle having a planetary gear mechanism linked to an engine, a first motor, and a drive shaft and having a second motor attached to the drive shaft via a transmission, in a Lo gear position of the transmission, the control procedure of the invention drives the engine intermittently corresponding to a preset engine power demand Pe* (steps Sand S). In a Hi gear position of the transmission, the control procedure keeps the engine in load operation (step S). When a relatively large driving force is required in the Hi gear position of the transmission, the drive control of the invention enables quicker output of the required driving force to the drive shaft, compared with the output of the driving force from the operation stop state of the engine.
