A wire harness system () includes an electric connection box () and a plurality of sub-harnesses () connecting the electric connection box () to a plurality of electric devices (-). Each of the plurality of sub-harnesses has a specification to be determined for a target electric device. The electric connection box has a plurality of connection portions (-) that are in one-to-one correspondence with the plurality of sub-harnesses and at least one of the plurality of connection portions is a single-unit connection portion satisfying a specification of a target sub-harness without relying on other connection portion.

An insert bus bar plate includes a plate-shaped resin material and a plurality of metal bus bars that are embedded within the resin material by insert molding and have a terminal part exposed to a mounting surface that is one of principal faces of the resin material. The bus bars are formed, before the insert molding, as a bus bar assembly before molding the one ends different from the terminal part of which are coupled to each other by a carrier to be cut after the insert molding. The insert bus bar plate (a substrate main body) is formed by the insert molding performed by oppositely arranging two bus bar assemblies before molding of the same shape so that two terminal parts are positioned in between two carriers.

A wire harness includes at least two sub-harnesses having a plurality of electric wires whose one terminal portions are led out from a plurality of connector portions connected to a plurality of electric devices respectively. The other end portions of the electric wires to establish direct connection between the connector portions are electrically connected to each other by a connection mechanism.

A locking structure between a member to be supported and a supporting body includes an electronic component unit as a member to be supported, an electronic component unit housing part of an electrical connection box as a supporting body, a lock mechanism for upper insertion fitting (an engagement claw and a lock arm) that, when the electronic component unit is fitted to the electronic component unit housing part from an upper-side opening, locks the electronic component unit to the electronic component unit housing part to prevent the electronic component unit from escaping toward the upper-side opening, and a lock mechanism for lower insertion fitting (an engagement claw and a lock arm) that, when the electronic component unit is fitted to the electronic component unit housing part from a lower-side opening, locks the electronic component unit to the electronic component unit housing part to prevent from escaping toward the lower-side opening.

Locking structure between member to be supported and supporting body

To achieve efficient heat spreading and heat releasing by using a metal core of a circuit board, a terminal block includes an insulating block body and terminals. At least one of the terminals is provided with terminal portions for a connection with a circuit board. The terminal portions are inserted into respective through holes of the circuit board, the circuit board having a pattern circuit at a surface layer thereof and a conductive metal core at an intermediate portion in a thickness direction, so that heat of the metal core or of both the metal core and the pattern circuit is absorbed and transferred to the terminals. A bus-bar block includes an insulating block body and several parallel bus-bars with different lengths. Terminal portions at a tip end of the bus-bars are inserted, near heat-generating component on the circuit board, into the through holes of the circuit board.

Circuit board structure having measures against heat

The present invention provides a junction block adapted adaptable for a variety of vehicles without increase of cost. The junction block includes a circuit board, a terminal blockfor low-grade use to be connected to the circuit board, a bus bar blocksuperimposed on the terminal block and connected to the circuit board, a coverfor covering the circuit board from side of the bus bar block, and a plurality of fuses' to be connected to terminalsof the terminal block and the bus bar block, wherein the junction block is adaptable for a variety of vehicles with or without use of the bus bar block.

Junction block

Bus bars each having on one side a terminal portion for connection of an electrical component and on the other side a terminal portion for connection of circuit board are provided in an insulating block body parallel to each other to constitute a busbar block. The bus bars are prevented from uplifting by virtue of a rib integral with the block body. Recessed portions for positioning are provided in an insulating cover corresponding to the ribs, and at the same time as the busbar block is attached to the cover, the ribs are brought into engagement with the recessed portions to provide positioning of the busbar block. Terminal block constructed by terminals each having on one end thereof a terminal portion for connection of an electrical component and on the other side thereof a terminal portion for connection of circuit board, and an insulating block body holding the terminals.

Busbar-block mounting structure

A plate-like terminal mounting structure is configured to attach a plurality of plate-like terminals in multiple tiers to a terminal holder for facilitated and effective positioning of the terminals in the terminal holder and prevention of undesirable impacts of the terminals upon a connection between the terminals and a circuit board. The terminal holder includes a plurality of ribs tapering toward their tips and parallel to each other. The terminal includes a recessed portions or holes for engaging the plate-like terminals with the ribs in a regular mounting position without gap left therebetween. The rib includes sloping surfaces on its four sides (front, rear, right, and left sides). The terminal holder includes a partition wall separating the terminals from each other, the partition wall being in one piece with the ribs. The plate-like terminals are arranged in multiple tiers in a height direction of the ribs. The recessed portion or the hole of the terminal in a lower tier is large, and the recessed portion or the hole of the terminal in the upper tier is small depending on tapering of the ribs.
