A laser processing apparatus disclosed in the present application includes: an optical deflection unit capable of changing a deflection direction of and outgoing energy of an incoming laser pulse by changes of a frequency of and an amplitude of a driving signal to be supplied; and a control unit configured to supply driving signals with amplitudes corresponding to respective frequencies. In a laser processing apparatus configured to process a workpiece by leading outgoing laser pulse of the optical deflection unit to the workpiece and irradiating the workpiece with the laser pulse, as the amplitude corresponding to each of the frequencies, the control unit supplies an amplitude having the ratio that is close to the lowest ratio among ratios of the outgoing energy with respect to the incoming energy of the laser pulse at an amplitude having the largest outgoing energy of the optical deflection unit.

An input interface circuit according to the present invention includes an input first stage circuit that is connected to a signal terminal, where the signal terminal receives external data, and a phase adjustment circuit that adjusts an external input clock and a latch timing signal to be in phase, where the latch timing signal is output to latch circuits included in the input first stage circuit. The phase adjustment circuit adjusts delay time of the latch timing signal that passes through the clock tree circuit and is supplied to the latch circuit in response to a comparison result between the clock and an output from a replica delay circuit which is replicated from the clock.

A movable member is moved in a preset direction in a linear motor. A characteristic-change position-detecting unit detects a position where the magnetic characteristic of the magnets has abruptly changed. The position detected is used as an origin-setting reference position. A reference position for the absolute position of the magnetic linear encoder is set based on the reference position.

Method of setting the origin of a linear motor

A position-data converter and a motor-drive control device are connected. The position-data converter receives two-phase, sine-wave analog signals da and db from two first magnetic detectors, respectively, and converts these signals da and db to position data. On receiving a positioning instruction, the motor-drive control device calculates the value of current, from the current position signal generated by the position-data converter. The permanent magnets incorporated in a linear motor are used as components of a linear scale, as well.

Linear motor

A floating-gate non-volatile memory is composed of a plurality of banks, and a negative bias power line providing a negative bias for the plurality of banks. Each of the plurality of banks includes a plurality of sectors arranged in columns, each comprising a plurality of floating-gate memory cells; a plurality of column decoders associated with the columns of the sectors, respectively; and a bank decoder connected to the plurality of column decoders through an in-bank power line. A bank decoder within selected one of the banks provides the negative bias received from the negative bias power line for the in-bank power line. Each of the column decoders is responsive to selection/non-selection of associated one of the columns of the sectors for generating a negative voltage signal from the negative bias received from the in-bank power line, and providing the negative voltage signal for the associated one of the columns of the sectors.

A nonvolatile semiconductor memory device includes a memory array and an X-decode section. The memory array includes a plurality of nonvolatile memory cells arranged in a matrix form and a plurality of word lines. The X-decode section selects a selected word line selected from the plurality of word lines, supplies a negative voltage to the selected word line, and supplies a positive voltage to unselected word lines which are not the selected word line, at the time of an erase operation.

The present invention provides an antireflection substance such as an antireflection film having a low moisture-permeable characteristic, high quality and high reliability, and also provides a display apparatus comprising this antireflection substance. The antireflection substance according to the present invention includes an antireflection film formed on a transparent substrate, the antireflection film being composed of a multiple layer in which a first layer serving as an adhesion-improving layer, a second layer serving as a barrier layer against moisture, a third layer, a fourth layer and a fifth layer are laminated in this order, and in which the second layer and the fourth layer are each set to have a refractive index higher than that of the third layer and the fifth layer. The display apparatus according to the present invention comprises this antireflection substance on its display surface.

A semiconductor memory device has: a word driver configured to apply a driving voltage to a word line connected to a memory cell; and an internal power supply circuit configured to supply the driving voltage to the word driver and to apply a substrate voltage to back gates of transistors included in the word driver. The internal power supply circuit controls the driving voltage and the substrate voltage independently of each other. In a read operation, the internal power supply circuit constantly supplies the substrate voltage, while turns on and off supply of the driving voltage.

An anti-reflection film having superior anti-reflection properties and which is suited for practical application is to be manufactured easily and simply with high productivity and a reduced manufacturing cost. To this end, there are sequentially formed by layering, an adhesive layer , a first optical thin film , containing one or more of titanium nitride, hafnium nitride and zirconium nitride, and a second optical thin film having a refractive index of 1.35 to 1.7. The adhesive layer is represented by the chemical formula of SiO , where x<2. In addition, the voice-coil motor includes a coil assembly having a coil. The coil assembly forms a closed space surrounded by the coil.
