The light shielding member of the present disclosure includes an aluminum oxide ceramics including an oxide of titanium whose composition formula is shown as TiO(1≤x<2), and a total content of Fe, Ni, Co, Mn and Cr is 260 mass ppm or less.

Light shielding member

A heater includes a base body, terminal and joining layer. The base body is made of ceramic. The joining layer contains metal as a principal ingredient and is located between the base body and the terminal. The base body includes a first surface and second surface. The first surface faces an outer side of the base body and includes at least one of a region which is superimposed on the terminal and a region which is located on a periphery of the terminal. The second surface intersects with the first surface and is located on the side closer to an internal portion of the base body on the side away from the first surface. The joining layer extends from the terminal and first surface up to the second surface.

A surface-mount type antenna includes a rectangular-parallelepiped base body made of a dielectric or magnetic material, having a first surface to be placed on a target substrate, second to fifth surfaces that are continuous with the first surface, and a sixth surface located in parallel with the first surface; a ground electrode formed on at least one of the second to fifth surfaces; two radiating electrodes that are continuous with the ground electrode and extend over two or more adjacent surfaces of the second to sixth surfaces; and two feeding electrodes formed on at least one of the second to fifth surfaces so as to be spaced apart circumferentially of the continuum of the second to fifth surfaces to provide the ground electrode in between. The feeding electrode is capacitance-coupled to the radiating electrode for effecting feeding.

Surface-mount type antenna and antenna apparatus employing the same, and wireless communication apparatus

In order to provide a small size antenna where excellent antenna properties can be stably gained, a frequency adjustment is easy and a simple measurement is possible, according to the present invention, a small size antenna formed of a conductor of at least two adjoining surfaces of a base in rectangular parallelepiped form made of dielectric ceramics is characterized in that: a step is made of a flat portion parallel to one surface of the two adjoining surfaces and an inclining portion located between the one surface and the flat portion, in a corner portion of the two surfaces on which the conductor is formed; the width of the flat portion is 0.08 mm or less; and a border portion between the flat portion and the other surface of the two adjoining surfaces is a curve having a curvature radius R of 0.03 mm to 0.2 mm.

Small size antenna, surface mounting type antenna and antenna device as well as radio communication device

An surface-mount type antenna includes a rectangular parallelepiped base body, a feeding terminal formed at one-end-side part of one side surface thereof, and a radiating electrode, to one end of which is connected the feeding terminal, disposed such that its other end is routed from one-end-side part of one side surface, through one-end-side part of one principal surface, to another-end-side part of one principal surface, and extends from the other-end-side part to the one end side part parallelly with a ridge of the base body, and is eventually formed into an open end. An antenna apparatus is constructed by mounting the surface-mount type antenna on a mounting substrate having a feeding electrode and a ground conductor layer with a linear side edge located near the feeding electrode, with the ridge of the base body arranged parallel to the linear side edge of the ground conductor layer.

Surface-mount type antenna and antenna apparatus

The invention provides an antenna apparatus including a driven element formed of a rectangular conductor, and a grounding plate which is arranged in proximity to at least one of side edges of the driven element, with a predetermined interval secured therebetween. This construction requires less mounting space, achieves wide bandwidth and low conductor loss.

Antenna apparatus

The surface-mount type antenna includes: a substantially rectangular parallelepiped base body; feeding and ground terminals formed on one side surface of the base body; and a radiating electrode, to one end of which is connected the ground terminal, disposed such that its other end extends from one side surface, through another end side part of one principal surface of the base body, to the one end side part thereof, then turns to the other end side part; and is eventually formed into an open end located near the other end side part. The feeding terminal is disposed near the radiating electrode. The antenna apparatus is constructed by mounting the surface-mount type antenna on the mounting substrate having the feeding electrode, the ground electrode, and the ground conductor layer.

The helical antenna comprises a base body and a helically-configured conductor on a top surface of the base body, wherein base body's thickness a is given as 0.3&lE;a&lE;3 (mm); length b is given as 5&lE;b&lE;20 (mm); and relative dielectric constant &egr;r is given as 3&lE;&egr;r&lE;30, and conductor's winding number x is given as 3&lE;x&lE;16 (turns), and its resonant frequency f and conductor width w satisfy formulae (1): f&equals;Ax&plus;By&plus;C (MHz) and (2): w&equals;Dx&plus;E (mm), where y represents base body width and A through E represent constants determined according to the base body's thickness a, length b, and relative dielectric constant &egr;r.

Helical antenna and communication apparatus

In a surface-mount type antenna, a substantially-rectangular solid base body has a feeding terminal and a ground terminal formed on its one side surface. A radiating electrode has its one end connected to the ground terminal and is disposed helically across the surfaces of base body extending from one side surface to one principal surface. Another end of radiating electrode extends from one principal surface, through another side surface, toward another principal surface, to form a wide-area portion facing the feeding terminal. An antenna apparatus is constructed by mounting the surface-mount type antenna on a mounting substrate having formed thereon a feeding electrode, a ground electrode, and a ground conductor layer, and simultaneously connecting the feeding terminal and the ground terminal to the feeding electrode and the ground electrode, respectively.

It is an object of the invention to provide a meander antenna that is smaller and lighter, in which the resonance frequency easily can be tuned, as well as a method for tuning its resonance frequency. The meander antenna comprises a meandering conductor on the surface of a substrate. The meander antenna is provided with a short-circuit conductor line that forms a short-circuit between two parallel opposing lines into which the conductor is bent, or an open conductor line in which a line short-circuiting the two parallel opposing lines is open. The resonance frequency can be tuned and lowered by cutting open the short-circuit line or increased by short-circuiting the open conductor line.

Meander antenna and method for tuning resonance frequency of the same

Spacers used in a picture display device are formed of a sintered product having a structure in which at least one kind of metal selected from the group consisting of Si, Zn, Al, Sn, Cu and Mg is dispersed in a glass. In the picture display device using spacers, therefore, the spacers are effectively prevented from being electrically charged and, besides, trouble such as distortion in the displayed picture caused by the electric charge in the spacers is effectively prevented, too. In producing the spacers by firing, further, the volume expands due to the oxidation of the metal component, whereby shrinkage due to firing is effectively relaxed, making it possible to produce the spacers maintaining a high dimensional precision. Besides, the spacers are effectively prevented from being deformed by the shrinkage caused by firing.

Spacers used for picture display devices and a method of producing the same

In a plasma display device comprising a pair of opposing insulating substrates and a plurality of light emitting cells formed from partition walls which divide the space between the insulating substrates while a plurality of electrodes are formed in the light emitting cells and the inner space is filled with a discharge gas and plasma being generated by applying a voltage selectively between the electrodes so that the fluorescent substances formed on the inner walls of the light emitting cells emit light as light emitting elements, wherein sizes of the light emitting cells of different colors are made different according to the luminance of the fluorescent substance of the corresponding color. That is, cells which emit light of a color of luminance lower than the other cells are made with larger opening to obtain equally high luminance for all the three primary colors, thereby mitigating the deviation in the luminance among the fluorescent substances and achieving full-color display of high image quality with high color purity.

Plasma display device

A composite resin and fillers for molding electronic and structural parts that have high dimensional accuracy, are free of surface defects stemming from the mold and are suitable for mass production. The preferred composite contains 10 to 70 vol-% of a thermosetting resin with the balance consisting of filler particles having an average diameter of 40 &mgr;m or less. The final molded article has pores of 15 to 80 &mgr;m in diameter occupying between 3 and 30% of the area of a cross-section.

Resin composite and process for producing the same

The present invention relates to a composite of resin and fillers used in electronic parts and structural parts, and to a process for producing the same, and the object of the present invention is to provide a resin composite with a molded body having high dimensional accuracy, being free of surface defects attributable to a mold used for molding and being capable of easy forming and mass production, as well as a process for producing the same. The process for producing a resin composite according to the present invention comprises a step of mixing fillers of an average particle diameter of 40 .mu.m or less with thermosetting resin, a step of compression molding this mixed powder into a predetermined shape at ordinary temperature, and a step of allowing the compression molded body after released from the mold to be hardened by heating at 100 to 250.degree. C. to give a hardened molded body.
