Load of each motor-driven drive section of an injection molding machine is monitored in order to obtain an average load level of the drive section for each molding cycle. A cycle extending time or a cycle shortening time necessary for decreasing or increasing the average load level to a previously set reference load level is calculated, and is displayed directly or indirectly.

Load monitoring method for motor-driven injection molding machine

A control system for controlling the operation of a molding machine and its peripheral machines. This control system automatically transmits an advance notification of for example completion of production by the molding machine to an operator by electronic mail. The system includes a destination mail address setting part and an automatic electronic mail distributing part. The destination mail address setting part automatically specifies a transmission destination before a predetermined event such as for example the completion of production at the molding machine occurs. The automatic electronic mail distributing part automatically distributes an advance notification of the predetermined event to the transmission destination before the event occurs.

When a determination condition is set for determining whether a molded product is non-defective or defective, a molding operation is performed a predetermined number of times. In each molding operation, an actual value of at least one monitor item which can serve as the basis for determining whether a molded product is non-defective or defective is detected. The detected actual values are displayed on a screen of a display in such a manner that a distribution of the actual values can be visually grasped. A sampling zone for the displayed actual values is designated in such a manner that a portion of the displayed actual values are contained in the sampling zone. The determination condition is automatically set on the basis of actual values contained in the sampling zone.

In a drift detection method for detecting drift in a pressure detection value output from a pressure detector, pressure is detected by the pressure detector at a preset detection point in a pressure-uncontrolled region in an arbitrary molding cycle. The detected pressure is set as a reference pressure. Pressure is detected by the pressure detector at the same detection point in the pressure-uncontrolled region in a subsequent molding cycle. A deviation of the detected pressure from the reference pressure is obtained. When the deviation is greater than a preset value, it is determined that a drift is present, and processing for coping with the drift is performed.

In a method for controlling a motor-driven injection molding machine which includes a drive motor provided at a drive section, a load level of the drive section for each molding cycle is obtained in order to determine whether the load level has entered an overload region. When the load level has entered the overload region, cycle-time prolongation processing is performed in order to obtain a cycle prolongation time corresponding to the load level and to prolong the molding cycle by the cycle prolongation time.

Method for controlling motor-driven injection molding machine

An input device for an injection molding machine is constructed with an input touch panel fitted over a display screen. The input touch panel is formed greater than the display screen. A panel extension portion of the input touch panel is located outside of the display screen. At least one key portion having at least one specific key is displayed on the panel extension portion. By this arrangement, no separate switch panel, such as a membrane sheet switch, is necessary and all inputs can be made by touch operation.

Method of displaying velocities and pressures in display device for injection molding

A method for controlling a motor-driven injection molding machine in which heat generation of a drive section including a drive motor is monitored, and when the drive section enters an overload state, the drive motor is stopped. In the method, during molding, heat generation value (overload factor) of the drive motor is estimated from load current flowing through the drive motor. When the estimated heat generation value (overload factor) reaches a preset stopping point or when a thermostat attached to the drive section outputs an overload detection signal indicating an overload state, the drive motor is stopped.

A method for controlling a motor-driven injection molding machine which includes a plurality of drive motors. In the method, load current flowing through at least one drive motor serving as a drive source is detected in order to estimate heat generation value of the drive motor. When the estimated heat generation value reaches a preset stopping point, the drive motor is stopped. When the estimated heat generation value reaches a preset alarming point, which is lower than the stopping point, an alarm is issued.

In a correction method for correcting a pressure detection value output from a pressure detector used in a control apparatus which controls an injection molding machine, the screw of the injection molding machine is rotated by one turn in a period in which molding operation is not performed, and a middle value between the minimum value and the maximum value of a pressure detection value output from the pressure detector during the rotation is obtained. The screw is rotated further and is stopped when the pressure detection value becomes equal to the middle value. The pressure detection value output from the pressure detector after stoppage of the screw undergoes correction.

Correction method for a control apparatus controlling an injection molding machine

A motor drive apparatus for an injection molding machine includes a servo amplifier connected to a servomotor; a controller connected to the servo amplifier; and an interface unit for selectively connecting the controller to one of a plurality of different servo amplifiers. When the servomotor is to be replaced with another, different servomotor, the interface unit can cope with the replacement. Specifically, an interface printed circuit board corresponding to a servo amplifier for the replacement servomotor is selected from among a plurality of interface printed circuit boards which constitute the interface unit.

An injection molding system includes a program control section installed outside injection molding machines. The program control section includes a program file section that stores a plurality of different programs in the form of files, and a program transfer section that selects a computer program from the program file section and transfers the selected computer program to the controller of an arbitrary injection molding machine when the arbitrary injection molding machine is operated. Only when an injection molding machine is operated, a program (control program) for operating the injection molding machine is selected from the program file section of the program control section, and the thus-selected program is transferred to the corresponding controller by the program transfer section.
