A valve opening and closing timing control device includes: a drive-side rotary body rotating synchronously with a crankshaft; a driven-side rotary body arranged coaxially with the drive-side rotary body and rotating integrally with a valve opening and closing camshaft; a fluid pressure chamber defined between the drive-side and driven-side rotary bodies; advance and retard chambers defined by partitioning the fluid pressure chamber; an intermediate lock mechanism selectively switches between a lock state and a lock release state; advance and retard flow paths allowing a flow of the working fluid to be supplied to and discharged from the advance and retard chambers; a control valve including a spool; and a phase control unit moving a position of the spool by controlling a power supply amount to the control valve to supply and discharge the working fluid to and from the advance and retard chambers to displace a relative rotation phase.

Valve opening and closing timing control device

A valve opening and closing timing control device includes: a drive-side rotary body rotating synchronously with a crankshaft; a driven-side rotary body provided inside the drive-side rotary body coaxially and rotating integrally with a camshaft; advance and retard chambers formed between the drive-side and driven-side rotary bodies; a lock mechanism switchable between a lock state and a lock release state; a valve unit including a fluid supply pipe into which fluid is supplied and a spool movable along a direction of the rotation axis, and controlling supply of the fluid to and from the lock mechanism, and the advance and retard chambers; and a tubular valve case having an internal space inside the driven-side rotary body and housing the valve unit in the internal space. A first opening portion is formed in the fluid supply pipe. A second opening portion is formed in the valve case.

A valve opening-closing timing control device includes a valve case in which an inner space is formed in a direction along a rotational axis, and a valve unit accommodated in the inner space so as to be coaxial with the rotation axis and controlling fluid to and from an advance chamber and a retard chamber. The valve unit includes a check valve on an upstream side to which fluid is supplied. The check valve includes a valve seat in which a flow passage hole through which the fluid flows is formed, and a valve body including a closing portion that can close the flow passage hole. The valve seat includes a first projection portion to surround the flow passage hole. The check valve is closed by the closing portion contacting against the first projection portion, and is opened by the closing portion being separated from the first projection portion.

Valve opening-closing timing control device

A valve timing controller includes: a driving-side rotating body rotating in synchronization with a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine; a driven-side rotating body disposed coaxially with a rotation axis of the driving-side rotating body and rotating integrally with a valve opening and closing camshaft; advancing and retarding chambers formed between the driving-side and driven-side rotating bodies; a control valve unit controlling supply and discharge of a fluid to and from the advancing and retarding chambers; and a check valve unit disposed upstream of the control valve unit in a supply flow passage. A pressure space is provided between the control valve and check valve units, the control valve unit has a flow passage structure, and the check valve unit includes a supply flow passage and a return check valve.

A valve opening/closing timing control device includes a driving rotating body that rotates in synchronization with a crankshaft, a driven rotating body that rotates integrally with a camshaft, a phase detection mechanism that detects the relative rotation phase of the driving rotating body and the driven rotating body, a retarding chamber and an advancing chamber between the driving rotating body and the driven rotating body, a lock mechanism capable of constraining the relative rotation phase to a lock phase, a supply/discharge mechanism that supplies/discharges working fluid to/from the advancing chamber, the retarding chamber, and the lock mechanism, and a control unit that controls operation of the supply/discharge mechanism. At startup of the engine, if the detected relative rotation phase is not at the lock phase, the control unit controls the supply/discharge mechanism so as to stop successive supply of working fluid to the retarding and advancing chambers.

Valve opening/closing timing control device

The valve open/close timing control device includes a housing that rotates synchronously with a crankshaft, an inner rotor that is disposed inside of the housing and rotates integrally with a camshaft, a fluid pressure chamber formed between the housing and the inner rotor, an intermediate lock mechanism capable of switching between a locked state and an unlocked state, an unlocking channel that allows passage of working oil to be supplied to or discharged from the intermediate lock mechanism, a lock discharge channel that allows passage of working oil discharged from the intermediate lock mechanism, and an electromagnetic valve that controls the supply/discharge of the working oil to/from the fluid pressure chamber and the intermediate lock mechanism. With this valve open/close timing control device, the lock discharge channel allows passage of the working oil in the case where the electricity supply amount to the electromagnetic valve is 0 or the maximum.

Valve open/close timing control device

A valve timing control device includes: a driving side rotating body rotating in synchronization with a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine (E); a driven side rotating body rotating integrally with a camshaft of the internal combustion engine and capable of rotating relative to the driving side rotating body; a fluid pressure chamber formed by the driving side rotating body and the driven side rotating body; a partition portion arranged in the fluid pressure chamber and partitioned into a retard chamber and an advance chamber an intermediate lock mechanism including a concave portion a lock member; and a phase control unit controlling the supply of a fluid to the retard chamber and the discharge of the fluid from the advance chamber or the supply of the fluid to the advance chamber and the discharge of the fluid from the retard chamber.

Valve timing control device

In a valve opening/closing timing control device, a fluid pressure chamber formed by a drive-side rotating and a driven-side rotating body is divided into an advance chamber and a delay chamber. The valve opening/closing timing control device includes an intermediate lock mechanism; an electromagnetic valve; a phase detection sensor; and a control unit that issues a command to the electromagnetic valve to switch a working fluid supply destination to a working fluid supply destination at which the driven-side rotating body shifts to an intermediate lock phase, when a relative rotation phase at the startup of an engine is positioned toward a most delayed phase or a most advanced phase with respect to the intermediate lock phase in case of the electromagnetic valve that sets the working fluid supply destination to the delay chamber or the advance chamber when supply of electric power to the electromagnetic valve is stopped.

A control device is configured that can shorten the time required for a system to stop due to an ignition switch operation in a situation in which the internal combustion engine is stopped due to stop control. The control device includes a control unit that, in the situation in which the internal combustion engine is stopped due to stop control, if the transmission mechanism is operated to a second shift position that is different from a first shift position in which the vehicle can travel, executes phase conversion control to shift a valve opening/closing timing control mechanism from a first lock phase to a second lock phase.

An internal combustion engine includes a variable valve timing control apparatus including a driving-side rotating member rotating about a rotary axis by rotational force transmitted from a crankshaft, a driven-side rotating member including at least one fluid pressure chambers partitioned and formed with at least one advanced angle chambers and at least one retarded angle chambers and integrally rotating with a camshaft for opening and closing a valve, and a lock mechanism configured with a lock member provided at one of the driving-side rotating member and the driven-side rotary member to be engageable and disengageable with a recessed portion formed at the other of the driving-side rotating member and the driven-side rotary member, and an engine control unit for stopping the internal combustion engine to position a portion where the lock mechanism is formed below a virtual line passing through the rotary axis when the internal combustion engine is stopped.

A valve timing control apparatus includes a driving-side rotation member, a driven-side rotation member, a first lock mechanism selectively achieving a first lock state in which a relative rotation phase of the driven-side rotation member relative to the driving-side rotation member is locked at an intermediate lock phase and a first lock release state, and a second lock mechanism selectively achieving a second lock state in which the relative rotation phase is locked at one of a most advanced angle phase and a most retarded angle phase and a second lock release state, the driven-side rotation member being rotatable relative to the driving-side rotation member by a first clearance angle in the first lock state, the driven-side rotation member being rotatable relative to the driving-side rotation member by a second clearance angle in the second lock state, the second clearance angle being smaller than the first clearance angle.

A valve opening-closing timing control apparatus includes a partition portion partitioning a fluid pressure chamber into an advanced angle chamber and a retarded angle chamber, a phase control portion controlling a rotational phase of a driven-side rotational member relative to a driving-side rotational member, a lock mechanism including a lock member and a lock recess for locking the rotational phase at a predetermined phase, a lock control portion switching the lock mechanism between a locked state and an unlocked state by supplying and discharging a pressurized fluid to and from the lock recess, a phase controlling supply passage supplying the pressurized fluid to the advanced angle chamber and the retarded angle chamber, a lock controlling supply passage supplying the pressurized fluid to the lock recess, and a one-way valve blocking the pressurized fluid supplied to the lock controlling supply passage from flowing into the phase controlling supply passage.

Provided is a valve open/close timing control system where a valve open/close timing control device includes a drive-side rotating member, a driven-side rotating member, a relative rotational phase control mechanism, and a first locking member, in which the internal combustion engine is configured to be started by a drive force generated by a traveling motor or by a drive force generated by a starter motor, and the valve open/close timing control system also includes a control unit which is configured, for starting the internal combustion engine while changing the relative rotational phase at the time of starting the internal combustion engine, to drive the starter motor or the traveling motor at the time of starting the internal combustion engine at the first locking phase, and to drive the traveling motor at the time of starting the internal combustion engine at the second locking phase.
