It is an object of the present invention to provide a recording material which contains at least a colorant and a resin wherein the colorant contains silver, and a toner which contains at least a colorant and a resin wherein the colorant is an alloy containing silver, zinc and aluminum.

Recording material, toner, liquid developer and image forming method using the same

An electrophotographic liquid developer includes a carrier liquid and toner particles. The toner particles include a colorant and a resin component and are dispersed in the carrier liquid. The resin component includes a polyester resin as a main component. When 0.3 g of the liquid developer is dropped on a filter paper (which is defined in JIS P 3801) from a point of 10 mm height, the carrier liquid diffuses in the filter paper at a speed not lower than 1 mm/minute.

A liquid recording material containing at least a carrier liquid, a resin, a coloring agent, and a reactive silicone material, an image transfer sheet for use with the liquid recording material, and a method of fixing images, using the liquid recording material, are disclosed.

A recording liquid including a colorant and a carrier liquid including at least one of a liquid paraffin and a linear silicone oil. The recording liquid is an inkjet ink, a printing ink, a marker ink, a stencil ink, an electronic recording ink, a non-aqueous paint, a liquid developer or the like. When the recording liquid is a non-aqueous paint or a liquid developer, the recording ink further includes a resin.

An image forming process wherein a latent image-bearing surface of a supporting member is contacted with a toner-containing liquid developer to develop the latent image with the liquid developer and to form a toner image covered with a layer of the liquid developer. The toner image-bearing surface is treated with a squeezing member to squeeze the liquid developer layer therefrom. The toner image-bearing surface is then treated with a voltage impressing member to impart a bias voltage to the toner image. The toner image is transferred from the surface to an intermediate transfer medium and then to a transfer medium.

A liquid toner for use in a liquid developer contains a dispersion medium and toner particles, each of which toner particles contains a coloring agent and a binder agent and is dispersed in the dispersion medium, the toner particles comprising small toner particles with a particle diameter of 0.1 .mu.m or less in an amount of 20 wt. % or less of the total weight of the toner particles, and having an average particle diameter of 0.3 to 5 .mu.m. Using the above-mentioned liquid toner in which the amount of the toner particles is controlled to 5 to 100 wt. % of the total weight of the liquid toner, a latent electrostatic image formed on a photoconductor can be developed to a toner image.
