A solid electrolytic capacitor includes a flat-shaped anode terminal having a first surface connected to an anode portion of a capacitor element and having a second surface opposite to the first surface, a flat-shaped cathode terminal having a first surface connected to a cathode layer of the capacitor element and having a second surface opposite to the first surface thereof, and an insulating resin package accommodating the capacitor element, the anode terminal, and the cathode terminal. The second surface of the cathode terminal is flush with the second surface of the anode terminal. The second surface of the anode terminal and the second surface of the cathode terminal expose to an outside of the resin package. The anode terminal includes a first thick portion and a first thin portion thinner than the first thick portion. The first thick portion has the second surface of the anode terminal and a portion of the first surface of the anode terminal. The first thin portion has a portion of the first surface of the anode terminal and being connected to the first thick portion. The cathode terminal includes a second thick portion and a second thin portion thinner than the second thick portion. The second thick portion has the second surface of the cathode terminal and a portion of the first surface of the cathode terminal. The second thin portion has a portion of the first surface and being connected to the second thick portion. This solid electrolytic capacitor has a small equivalent series inductance, and is stably mountable to a mount body.

Solid-state electrolytic capacitor and manufacturing method thereof

A solid electrolytic capacitor includes a plurality of laminated capacitor elements; an anode terminal connected to an anode portion where anode exposed portions of the capacitor elements are connected together; and a cathode terminal connected to a cathode portion where cathode layers of the capacitor elements are bonded together. Between lamination planes of the cathode layers of the capacitor elements, a conductive sheet is disposed. The capacitor elements are coated with a packaging resin layer in such a manner that a part of the anode terminal and a part of the cathode terminal are exposed.

Solid electrolytic capacitor

A solid electrolytic capacitor includes a valve metal on which surface a dielectric oxide film layer, a solid electrolyte layer, and a cathode layer are formed in this order. The cathode layer includes a silver layer which is formed of silver particles and at least one of phenolic novolak type epoxy resin represented by formula (1) and trishydroxyphenylmethane type epoxy resin represented by formula (2). Not less than 90 wt. % of the silver particles are occupied by flaky silver particles, which account for not less than 50 vol. % and not greater than 90 vol. %. This capacitor shows excellent characteristics in ESR and impedance. 

Solid electrolytic capacitor and process for producing the same

A solid electrolytic capacitor of the present invention has a structure where respective anode sections of capacitor elements are joined to an anode lead frame by resistance welding via a through hole formed in the anode lead frame. Current thus collects to the through hole during the welding to break a dielectric oxide film layer to expose aluminum foil, and the molten aluminum collects into the through hole. Stable welding work is therefore allowed without splashing the aluminum, and a solid electrolytic capacitor having high welding strength, high reliability, and reduced ESR can be obtained.

Solid electrolytic capacitor and its manufacturing method

A solid electrolytic capacitor having (A) a capacitor element including an oxide layer formed on a part of an outer surface of a valve metal anode body, a solid electrolyte layer formed on the oxide layer layer, and a cathode conductor layer formed on the solid electrolyte layer, and an anode lead out area on a remaining part of the anode body, (B) lead terminals connected to the cathode and the anode lead out area of the capacitor element, and (C) a packaging resin encapsulating the capacitor element with parts of the lead terminals exposed outside. The solid electrolytic capacitor has a first separation strip and a second separation strip formed on a part of the roughened surface layer and also has insulating material on the respective surfaces of the first and the second separation strips.

A disclosure is made on a solid electrolytic capacitor, which facilitates an assembly work with simple construction to lead to a reduction of cost, realizes excellent equivalent series resistance characteristics and makes a thin configuration possible, and a manufacturing method thereof. With the solid electrolytic capacitor of the present invention, a cathode lead frame has a connecting member to connect integrally with a cathode member of a capacitor element stack body on the side surface of a capacitor element extending in the thickness direction thereof. Capacitor elements, each provided with a through hole on an anode member, are stacked on top of each other in layers and connections between capacitor elements are achieved by disposing an anode lead frame between layers. Accordingly, when a plurality of anode members are joined to the anode lead frame via a through hole provided on respective anode members of capacitor elements, stabilized welding work is allowed to be performed without any of molten aluminum foil to be released outside.
