A cellular telephone apparatus capable of establishing and maintaining a call even in case of a failure in call establishment or a call due to a busy state of a called party or a communications channel disorder such as congestion or received wave level shortage. In response to a request for a call origination for a destination telephone number, a call is originated for the destination telephone number. In case of a failure in the call origination, a call termination process is executed and then the call origination is retried. Once a call is established after the call origination, in response to a detection of disconnection of the call caused not by a user but by a channel disorder, a call termination process executed. A call is originated for the same telephone number as a destination telephone number of the disconnected call. In an embodiment, the retrying is put off while a received wave level is less than a predetermined level. If a count of said call origination reaches a predetermined count value, then the retrying is stopped.

Cellular telephone with automated redial functions

An offset-drift correcting device is designed for a gyro-sensor mounted on an object and outputting a signal representing an angular speed of the object. The device includes a first section for detecting whether or not the object is rotating. A second section connected to the gyro-sensor is operative for smoothing the angular speed represented by the output signal of the gyro-sensor, and deriving an average angular speed of the object from the angular speed represented by the output signal of the gyro-sensor. A third section connected to the first section and the second section is operative for estimating an offset level of the output signal of the gyro-sensor in response to the average angular speed derived by the second section in cases where the first section detects that the object is not rotating. The third section includes an adaptive filter processing an output signal of the second section which represents the derived average angular speed. A fourth section connected to the gyro-sensor and the third section is operative for subtracting the offset level estimated by the third section from the output signal of the gyro-sensor to convert the output signal of the gyro-sensor into an offset-free signal.

Offset-drift correcting device for gyro-sensor

The present invention aims at providing an optical head feed device capable of driving stably a coarse positioning actuator even in presence of fluctuation in static frictional force and/or load and reducing the position error of a precision positioning actuator with respect to the center of movement. The optical feed device is so configured that the low-frequency component of displacement of the tracking precision positioning actuator may be detected. Pulse generation means generates drive pulses for the coarse positioning actuator at predetermined time periods so that the output of the detected low-frequency component may come within a fixed range. If a fixed time has elapsed since a drive pulse was outputted and thereafter the low-frequency component of displacement of the precision positioning actuator does not change or the change value is small, the magnitude and time width of the drive pulse are changed and the drive pulse with the magnitude and time width thus changed, is outputted again.
