A piezoelectric element includes a piezoelectric body, a first electrode, a second electrode, a third electrode, and a first through hole conductor. The piezoelectric body includes first and second main surfaces opposing each other, and first and second end surfaces opposing each other. The first electrode is disposed on the first main surface. The second electrode is disposed apart from the first electrode on the first main surface. The third electrode is disposed in the piezoelectric body to oppose the first electrode. The first through hole conductor is connected to the second and third electrodes. The piezoelectric body includes an active region and an inactive region. The active region includes a region from the first electrode to the third electrode. The inactive region includes a region from the third electrode to the second main surface.

Piezoelectric element

A piezoelectric element includes a piezoelectric body, an external electrode, and an internal electrode. The piezoelectric body includes first and second main surfaces opposing each other. The external electrode is disposed on the first main surface and has a first polarity. The internal electrode is disposed in the piezoelectric body to oppose the external electrode in a direction in which the first main surface and the second main surface oppose each other and has a second polarity different from the first polarity. A region from the internal electrode to the external electrode in the piezoelectric body is a polarizing region, and a region from the internal electrode to the second main surface in the piezoelectric body is a non-polarizing region.

In a piezoelectric device, an identification pattern provided on a main face of a piezoelectric body is covered with an electrode, so as to inhibit the identification pattern from generating particles, while the identification pattern makes the polarity of the piezoelectric device discernible by the appearance thereof.

Piezoelectric device

A multilayer piezoelectric element has a laminate body in which a plurality of piezoelectric bodies and a plurality of internal electrodes are alternately laminated and sintered. The plurality of internal electrodes comprise a first electrode and a second electrode. The laminate body is provided with a metal oxide layer formed of a material with a melting point higher than a sintering temperature of the piezoelectric bodies. The laminate body has an active portion in which the first electrode and the second electrode are arranged to overlap in a laminate direction of the laminate body, and inactive portions in which the first electrode and the second electrode are arranged not to overlap in the laminate direction of the laminate body. The inactive portions are provided on both sides of the active portion. The metal oxide layer has a first region formed in the same layer as the internal electrode in the inactive portion, and a second region formed so as to extend from the first region toward the active portion and overlap the internal electrode.

Multilayer piezoelectric element

A press plate mounting apparatus has a press plate placement portion capable of holding a press plate having a partially formed print face region, and a plate cylinder holding portion that rotatably holds a plate cylinder onto which the press plate is mounted. Positioning cross marks are provided in a non-print region of the press plate. The press plate placement portion includes a suction surface that sucks the print face region, and a scale member provided at a position outward of the suction surface and extending in a predetermined direction. The scale member is able to contact the locating cross marks when the press plate is held at a predetermined position. The scale member has a scale that makes it possible to visually check a positional deviation of the press plate in the predetermined direction.

A vortex flowmeter for calculating the flow rate of a measuring fluid flowing through a flow path using ultrasonic signals subjected to changes in the propagation time due to Karman vortices, comprising a reference signal generating device for outputting a plurality of reference signals of different phases; a signal analyzing device for outputting an input status signal by determining the relationship between the phases of the ultrasonic signals and each reference signal; a plurality of phase detectors for outputting phase signals by detecting the phase difference between the ultrasonic signals and the reference signals; and a channel selector for selecting the optimum phase signal using the input status signal and for outputting the optimum phase signal as a selection signal, wherein the flow rate signals are computed and outputted using the selected phase signal. The vortices are thus stably detected even when a phase change due to the vortices in the vortex flowmeter is large.

A wireless equipment diagnosis system which can perform inspection and maintenance precisely and accurately, and which comprises sensors which measure information on each equipment being diagnosed, a transponder which transmits measured data from the sensors after modulating the measured data; a portable interrogator which acquires the measured data by receiving transmitted signals from the transponder; and a host computer which diagnoses each equipment by implementing predetermined signal processing using information stored in advance and data transferred from the acquired data.
