A display device, which defines an attached state or a removed state with respect to an electronic appliance, includes a display section, a driver for driving the display section, a transceiver for transmitting or receiving a signal to/from the electronic appliance, and a system controller for controlling the driver and the transceiver. At least portion of the transceiver and at least portion of the system controller are integrated together with the display section and the driver on the same substrate.

When producing duplex copies from simplex original documents, the documents can be fed from the final page, but the copying method must be varied between the odd-number documents and even-number documents. Accordingly, the number of documents is counted while copying every other document from the final page, and the copying method is changed between the odd-number documents and even-number documents. Therefore, it is not necessary to count the number of documents before starting copying, and the time and labor required for producing duplex copies may be saved. Moreover, the copying apparatus can maintain the face-back relation during conveying and can invert the face-back relation during conveying the originals from storage into the exposure region, and also comprises the same two types of conveyors as the conveyors for the originals which two types convey from the exposure region to storage. Therefore, by using these four conveyors depending on the copying method and the document stacking state in storage, the original conveying time may be shortened, so that the time and labor required for producing duplex copies may be saved.

Copying method and copying apparatus for obtaining collated duplex

A copying apparatus is provided which makes collated duplex copies from the duplex original documents, first one side is copied by a necessary number of sheet, and then the other side is copied. The originals are put on a recirculating automatic document feeder with one side faced down, and are directly sent into the exposure region in the same face-back relation when copying the first set, and are inverted after exposure and returned. When copying the second and subsequent sets, the originals are inverted and conveyed into the exposure region, and are inverted after exposure and returned. When copying the final set, the originals are inverted and conveyed into the exposure region, and are directly returned in the same face-back relation, so that they are stacked up with the other side faced up. Therefore, when copying the other side, the originals are inverted and conveyed into the exposure region, and are inverted after exposure and returned. In this way, the switch-back route for conveying the originals while maintaining the face-back relation is used only twice, and the original feed speed is increased. Besides, it is not necessary to move the originals only for the purpose of inverting their sides, and the time required for copying operation is shortened.

A circulating type of automatic document feeding apparatus comprising a document hopper which is adapted to take out the top document from the hopper or take it out from the bottom to return in onto the topmost side, a first carrying means for carrying the document form the document hopper to a first exposure portion, a document presentation portion having the first exposure portion and the second exposure portion, a second carrying means which is equipped with an inside and outside inverting means for inverting the carrying direction of the document between the first exposure portion and the second exposure portion, and a third carrying means for returning the document to the document hopper from the second exposure portion. One face of the duplex document may be exposed in the first exposure portion to continuously expose the other face thereof in the second exposure portion, so that the copying operation of the duplex document may be effected at higher speeds and furthermore with considerably reduced operations on the part of the operator.

An electric photographical copying system which provides a main charger for charging the photo-conductive layer of the recording medium, an optical exposure means for projecting an image of an original onto the photo-conductive layer to make an electrostatic latent image thereon, a developing device for developing the latent image with developer, a transfer device for transferring the image developed onto a copy sheet, a cleaning device for cleaning residual developer on the photo-conductive layer and an erasing device for erasing the surface potential of the photo-conductive layer. The devices are successively activated in an order to use the recording medium repeatedly.
