There is provided a successive-approximation type AD converter and a pipeline type AD converter without delay due to sample hold. A successive-approximation type AD converterincludes: receiving circuits configured to output the analog input signal according to the received analog input signal; subtractors configured to calculate subtraction signals between the analog input signal in each of n successive conversions and comparison signals obtained by DA-converting the control values by DA converters; comparators configured to determine a high-low relationship between the voltages of the subtraction signals and the reference voltage; a control circuit configured to update the control values so that the comparison signals approach the analog input signal based on the comparison results; and an output register configured to output the digital output signal based on the comparison results of the comparators.

Successive-approximation type AD converter and pipeline type AD converter

A broadcast receiver suitable for receiving broadcast signals transferred by use of signal format of IBOC system. The broadcast receiver comprises a receiving means that holds information related to channels that can be acquired by a digital signal decoding process. If information related to a channel is to be used and is held by the information holding means, then it is used.

IBOC broadcast receiver

An amplifier circuit capable of reducing load of a circuit at the previous stage by providing increased input impedance producing less noises. The amplifier circuit includes a fully-differential operational amplifier composed of an inverting input terminal, a non-inverting input terminal receiving a signal different from a signal to be input to the inverting input terminal, an inverting output terminal with the same polarity of the inverting input terminal, and a non-inverting output terminal with reverse polarity; an input impedance element with one end connected to the inverting input terminal; an input impedance element with one end connected to the non-inverting input terminal; and positive feedback impedance elements, with one end of connected to the other end of the input impedance element and the other end connected to the inverting output terminal or to the non-inverting output terminal.

Amplifier circuit

There is provided a single-differential converting circuit that can reduce the variations in the input voltage of an operational amplifier sufficiently, made by changes in the voltages input from the exterior, while maintaining the function as the amplifier. The single-differential converting circuit is configured to include: an operational amplifierprovided with an inverting input terminaland a noninverting input terminal, for respectively receiving an input signal and a signal indicative of a reference voltage, a noninverting output terminaland an inverting output terminalhaving opposite polarities to each other; and a positive feedback impedance elementconnected between one of the two input terminals and one, of the output terminals, having a same polarity with the above one of the two input terminals.

Single-differential converting circuit

An broadcasting receiver suitable for receiving a broadcasting signal transmitted in an IBOC signal format, includes: a narrowband filtering means suitable for processing an analog broadcasting signal included in the broadcasting signal; a wideband filtering means suitable for processing a digital broadcasting signal included in the broadcasting signal; a demodulating means for demodulating the broadcasting signal; a signal level detecting means for detecting a level of the broadcasting signal; a digital determining means for determining whether the broadcasting signal includes digital broadcasting signal or not; and a filter switching means for switching filtering means for use in processing the broadcasting signal to be input to the demodulating means between the narrowband filtering means and the wideband filtering means, according to the level of the detected broadcasting signal, when the digital determining means determines that the broadcasting signal does not include the digital broadcasting signal.

IBOC broadcasting receiver

A broadcasting receiver suitable for receiving broadcasting signal transmitted with signal format is provided in which carrier wave is allocated in a frequency channel with certain frequency offset and signal intensity, which comprises: an information acquiring means for acquiring information related to the frequency channel in seek; and a station existence determining means for determining whether the frequency channel is station-existent or not based on information acquired by the information acquiring means; and wherein, the information acquiring means acquires information for receiving intensity of carrier wave and information for frequency offset.

Broadcast receiver and broadcast channel seek method

A broadcasting receiver suitable for receiving a broadcasting signal transmitted in an IBOC signal format, comprises: a channel seek directing means for directing to start a channel seeking operation that selects selectable channel in an order of frequency; a channel seek controlling means for starting and controlling the channel seeking operation in accordance with the direction of the channel seek directing means; and a multichannel determining means for determining whether a selected frequency channel is providing multichannel digital broadcasting or not; and wherein the channel seek controlling means selects a next subchannel in an order of identification code before searching for the next frequency channel, if it is determined by the multichannel determining means that the selected frequency channel is providing the multichannel digital broadcasting.

Radio broadcasting receiver and method for seeking radio broadcasting

A compound of the formula (I): wherein Rrepresents C&#x2013;Calkyl, amino(C&#x2013;Calkyl)amino, di(C&#x2013;Calkyl)amino or a nitrogen-containing saturated heterocyclic; Rand Rare the same or different and represent hydrogen or C&#x2013;Calkyl; Rrepresents C&#x2013;Calkyl or C&#x2013;Calkenyl or together with Rrepresents a C&#x2013;Calkylene; Arom represents aryl or heteroaryl; A represents a C&#x2013;Calkylene; E represents a single bond, oxygen, sulfur or RNR&#x2014;, wherein Ris hydrogen or C&#x2013;Calkenoyl; Xand Xare the same or different and represent oxygen or sulfur; or a pharmacologically acceptable salt or ester thereof. The compound has superior acetylcholinesterase inhibitory action and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitory action, and is useful for treating or preventing Alzheimer's disease, depression, Huntington's chorea, Pick's disease, tardive dyskinesia, compulsive disorders or panic disorders.

An isoxazole compound having the following formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, hydroxyl, alkylthio, amino, alkanoyl, alkanoylamino, alkanoyloxy, alkoxycarbonyl, carboxy, (alkylthio)thiocarbonyl, carbamoyl, nitro or cyano; R.sup.2 represents an amino; m is 2 or 3; n is 1 to 6; ring A represents a phenyl ring, a naphthyl ring or an aromatic heterocycle; and X represents oxygen or sulfur. The isoxazole compound has an excellent monoamine oxidase inhibitory activity, and is useful for treating Parkinson's disease, depression and Alzheimer's disease.

Isoxazole derivatives

An isoxazole compound having the following formula: wherein R.sup.1 represents hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, hydroxyl, alkylthio, amino, alkanoyl, alkanoylamino, alkanoyloxy, alkoxycarbonyl, carboxy, (alkylthio)thiocarbonyl, carbamoyl, nitro or cyano; R.sup.2 represents an amino; m is 1; n is 1 to 6; ring A represents a phenyl ring or a naphthyl ring; and X represents oxygen or sulfur. The isoxazole compound has an excellent monoamine oxidase inhibitory activity, and is useful for treating Parkinson's disease, depression and Alzheimer's disease.

A compound of formula (I): ##STR1## wherein Y.sup.1, Y.sup.2, Y.sup.3 and Y.sup.4 are each hydrogen, halogen, nitro, cyano, hydroxyl, thiol, amino, alkyl, haloalkyl, alkylthio, a protected or unprotected carboxyl, a protected or unprotected sulfonamide, or tetrazol; one of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, oxazolyl, or a protected or unprotected carboxyl and the other of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is hydrogen, alkyl, aryl or aralkyl; and R.sup.3 is hydrogen or an amino protecting group, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts or esters thereof. The compounds are effective for treating dementia, Alzheimer's disease and delirium and are effective as sedatives.
