The problem of the present invention is to provide a novel polytetrafluoroethylene porous film having a small pore diameter, small film thickness, high porosity, and high strength, and a production method thereof. The present invention provides a polytetrafluoroethylene porous film, wherein a bubble point in isopropyl alcohol (IPA) according to JIS K3832 is not less than 400 kPa, and a tensile strength based on JIS K6251 is not less than 50 MPa.

A composition for dust-preventive treatment including an aqueous dispersion of fluorine-containing polymer showing a low potential for environmental concerns and a dust prevention effect as high as that of known composition for dust-preventive treatment. The composition for dust-preventive treatment includes an aqueous dispersion of fluorine-containing polymer containing 50 ppm or less of a fluorine-containing emulsifier. The composition for dust-preventive treatment comprising aqueous dispersion of fluorine-containing polymer containing 50 ppm or less of a fluorine-containing emulsifier can preferably be obtained by removing the fluorine-containing emulsifier from a polymer dispersion prepared by polymerizing tetrafluoroethylene using the fluorine-containing emulsifier.

Composition for dust-preventive treatment

A method for dusting-preventive treatment of a dusting material using a dust-preventive treatment agent including a PTFE aqueous dispersion having lower potential for environmental concerns, which method is as effective as a known method and further has a lower possibility of environmental concerns, and the dust-preventive treated material obtained by treating the dusting material by the method. The method involves mixing a dust preventing treatment composition composed of an aqueous dispersion of polytetrafluoroethylene containing 50 ppm or less of a fluorine-containing emulsifier with the dusting material and then forming fibrils of polytetrafluoroethylene by applying a compression/shear force to the mixture above at a temperature of about 20&#xb0; C. to 200&#xb0; C.

An aqueous dispersion composition of about 30 to about 70 weight % non-melt-processible fluoropolymer particles having a standard specific gravity (SSG) of less than 2.225 and about 2 to about 11 weight % surfactant based on the weight of said fluoropolymer comprising a compound or mixture of compounds of the formula:R(OCHCH)OHwherein R is a branched alkyl, branched alkenyl, cycloalkyl, or cycloalkenyl hydrocarbon group having 8-18 carbon atoms and n is an average value of 5 to 18.
