A film image input system is disclosed which can use a film cartridge constructed in such a manner that it requires a small space for storing a developed still photo film and also can protect the film against dust and damage, and also which allows the film cartridge to be mounted into a cartridge mounting part very simply and positively. The film image input system,is arranged such that it reproduces the image of the developed still photo film,on a video monitor,. The system uses a film cartridge,which comprises a cartridge main body having an outlet opening,for sending out the film,in the longitudinal direction thereof, a single spool which fixes one end of the film,in the longitudinal direction thereof and round which the whole length of the film,can be wound, and support means for supporting the spool in such a manner that it can be rotated in both directions. The film image input system includes film supply means,which is engageable with the spool of the film cartridge,to rotationally drive the spool in a direction to send out the film,from the cartridge main body and in a direction to rewind the film back into the cartridge main body. Due to this, the film image can be reproduced by one touch on the video monitor

A film image input system is disclosed which can use a film cartridge constructed in such a manner that it requires a small space for storing a developed still photo film and also can protect the film against dust and damage, and also which allows the film cartridge to be mounted into a cartridge mounting part very simply and positively. The film image input system 1 is arranged such that it reproduces the image of the developed still photo film 2 on a video monitor 18. The system uses a film cartridge 6 which comprises a cartridge main body having an outlet opening 7 for sending out the film 2 in the longitudinal direction thereof, a single spool which fixes one end of the film 2 in the longitudinal direction thereof and round which the whole length of the film 2 can be wound, and support means for supporting the spool in such a manner that it can be rotated in both directions. The film image input system includes film supply means 13 which is engageable with the spool of the film cartridge 6 to rotationally drive the spool in a direction to send out the film 2 from the cartridge main body and in a direction to rewind the film back into the cartridge main body. Due to this, the film image can be reproduced by one touch on the video monitor 18.

A zoom lens includes a front lens group having a negative power as a whole and a rear lens group having a positive power as a whole, and a stop included therein. For zooming, the front and rear lens groups are moved relative to each other on an optical axis. For focusing, only a rearmost positive lens of the rear lens group is moved. The film image input system forms an image of a developed still photo film 134 on a light receiving surface of an image pickup element 140 through a zoomable taking lens 138 and outputs to a monitor TV an image signal photo-electrically converted by the image pickup element 140 to thereby reproduce the film image on the screen of the monitor TV. The film image input system comprises at least one mirror 137 interposed between the photo film 134 and taking lens 138 for bending the optical axis of the taking lens 138, a mirror drive mechanism 168 for inclining the mirror 137 in all directions, and an operation part 170 for driving the mirror drive mechanism 168 in order to execute a desired scanning. A zoom lens system is composed of a first lens group of a positive power, a second lens group of a negative power, a third lens group of a positive power, and a fourth lens groups of a positive power arranged in this order from the object side, the magnification of said zoom lens system being changed by moving the second and third lens groups relative to each other and to the first and fourth lens groups while the positions of the first and fourth lens groups are fixed, wherein focal lengths of the first to fourth lens groups are defined to satisfy the following conditions:

Film imaged input system

A camera shake correction system which corrects the shaking of a picture image caused by the shake of a camera. In the camera shake correction system, a mirror is supported in front of a taking lens in such a manner that the mirror is free to incline about an angle of 45.degree. with respect to the optical axis of the taking lens, and the mirror is inclined at a half of the angular speed of the camera in the opposite direction to the shaking direction of the camera in accordance with the detection output of a shake sensor for detecting the shake of the camera, thereby stabilizing an object light incident on the image pickup surface of the camera.
