A buckle for fastening loose ends of a strap or the like comprises a male or plug member and a female or socket member releasably engageable therewith. The plug member includes an elastically deformable locking arm and a retaining lug underlying and supporting the arm when the latter undergoes elastic deformation upon engagement with an engaging surface formed in the socket member. The locking arm has an elongated arcuate cavity for snapping engagement with a complementarily shaped engaging surface in the socket member to ensure stable coupling of the two members.

A cord tightening device comprises a case having a pair of front and rear plates and a pair of opposite lateral walls interconnecting the front and rear plates and having forwardly converging inner surfaces defining a small-width opening at one end thereof and a large-width opening at the other end thereof, and a sliding member slidably disposed inside the case and having pressing parts formed on opposite lateral surfaces thereof and adapted to press a cord against the opposite lateral walls of the case. The cord tightening device is provided on at least one sliding surface of either one of said case and said sliding member taken as a set with a sliding groove and on at least one sliding surface of the remaining member of the set with a sliding protrusion fit for insertion into said sliding groove. The sliding groove has a regulating part for preventing the sliding protrusion from throwing off the sliding groove, and a lateral surface of either one of the sliding protrusion and the regulating part facing to the other member is slanted to form a slanted part for guiding insertion of the sliding protrusion into the sliding groove.

Cord tightening device

An automatically locking slider for slide fasteners is formed from a moldable plastics material and provided with an integral multi-leg locking structure including a spring portion, a locking prong portion and an anchoring portion. The spring portion is relatively short in length and has at one of its ends a bulged or ball-like projection extending outwardly beyond the region of the locking prong portion for abutting engagement with the inner wall of a cap.

Automatically locking slider for slide fasteners

A buckle comprises a plug member and a socket member relasably engageable therewith, the plug member including a retainer means in the form of a disc-like collet and a stopper means adapted to hold the retainer means stationery after the latter is rotated into position in the body of the plug member. The retainer means is normally urged upwardly by a coil spring and serves as a fulcrum about which the plug member and the socket member can be moved rotatably relative to each other.

A keylockable buckle comprises a plug having first engaging structure, a socket having second engaging structure engageable with the first engaging structure for releasably coupling the plug and the socket together and a mechanism mounted on the socket for locking the plug and the socket in coupled disposition by the help of a separate key for the purpose of security.

A buckle comprises a plug including a protuberant arm having first engaging means; and a socket adapted to be releasably coupled with the plug. The lower wall of the socket has a cantilevered engaging flap provided on its inner surface thereof and having second engaging means for snapping engagement with the first engaging means for coupling of the plug and the socket. The upper wall of the socket has a cantilevered resilient presser flap overhanding the cantilevered engaging flap and being yieldable downwardly to thus depress the resilient engaging flap, thereby bringing the second locking means out of engagement with the first engaging means of the protuberant arm for uncoupling the plug from the socket. The buckle further includes a locking plate slidably mounted on the presser flap for reciprocation between its locking position and its unlocking position.

A separable slide fastener has a separable end assembly attached to reinforced bottom end portions of a pair of stringer tapes, and a pair of grip tabs each secured to the reinforced bottom end portions of the respective stringer tape and adapted to manipulate the separable end assembly. The grip tab has an inner longitudinal portion disposed adjacent to but spaced from the separable end assembly by a predetermined spacing.

Separable slide fastener

A method of making an injection-molded slide fastener slider includes a first injection-molding step for forming a slider body having an integral arch-shaped support lug and a second injection-molding step for forming a pull tab threaded through a transverse hole in the support lug. For pivotal connection of the pull tab with the support lug, a mold used for achieving the method includes a combination of a main slide core and an auxiliary slide core slidably associated therewith. In the first injection-molding step, the auxiliary slide core is held in a first position in which the two slide cores jointly have a shape corresponding to the shape of the transverse hole while blocking fluid communication between first and second mold cavities in which the slider body and a body of the pull tab are formed respectively. Then the auxiliary slide core is moved to a second position in which a third mold cavity corresponding in shape to a pintle of the pull tab and communicating with the second mold cavity is defined between the slide cores and the underside of the already molded lug. Thereafter, the second injection-molding step is carried out.
