Provided is an ophthalmic surgery instrument that is capable of simplifying the structure of a rod-shaped portion, which is inserted into an eyeball during ophthalmic surgery, and that is suitable for excising a to-be-excised part of the eyeball. The ophthalmic surgery instrument includes a rod-shaped portion that is inserted into an eyeball during ophthalmic surgery. The rod-shaped portion has a single passage formed therein so as to penetrate from one end portion thereof to another end portion thereof. A bent portion is formed at a tip end of the rod-shaped portion. A liquid is caused to flow through the passage to flow out from a tip end opening portion of the passage or a to-be-excised part is sucked through the passage while excising the to-be-excised part with the bent portion.

Ophthalmic surgery instrument

Provided is an ophthalmic instrument that is for retaining a tube member for providing communication between the inside and the outside of an eyeball, such that the tube member is stuck into an outer membrane of the eyeball and that is suitable for retaining the tube member at an outer peripheral portion of a cornea. An ophthalmic instrument includes a main body and a needle portion connected to the main body. The main body has a straight portion and a bent portion. When attaching a tube member to an eyeball, first, the needle portion is inserted through the tube member, and the tube member is stuck into an outer peripheral portion of a cornea as the outer membrane of the eyeball while a hole is made in the outer peripheral portion of the cornea with the needle portion.

Ophthalmic instrument

Provided are an apparatus and a method, for testing a visual function of a subject, that make it possible to appropriately test the sensitivity for each color for each region of a visual field. In a state in which the subject is caused to gaze at one pointin a background, a visual targetfor testing a color-related visual function of the subject is displayed in a peripheral region of the gaze pointsuch that the luminance of the backgroundhas a numerical value included between a numerical value smaller by 10% and a numerical value greater by 10% than the luminance of the visual target. Then, for each measurement point, a threshold that is a size of the visual targetthat determines whether or not the subject can perceive the visual targetis obtained for a plurality of times.

Accordingly, an intraocular lens and a haptic for an intraocular lens that are able to inhibit the position of a lens from being displaced are provided.

Intraocular lens and haptic for intraocular lens

A surgical instrument () is provided with a rigid probe (), and cuts off the trabecular meshwork by inserting this probe () into the canal of Schlemm. An inner tube portion having a cutter is equipped inside the probe, and the trabecular meshwork sucked in from a hole portion () is cut off by the cutter due to the movement of the inner tube portion. A protection portion () is formed on the tip the probe () and protects the outer wall of the canal of Schlemm when cutting the trabecular meshwork. According to the invention, an ophthalmic surgical instrument for glaucoma patients is provided, the surgical instrument having excellent operability and preventing cutting of parts that should not be cut off without fail.

Intraocularly-mounted object and intraocularly-mounted object holding member

Provided is an intraocular lens capable of being reliably fixed into an eye from which an eye lens is extracted without suturing. The intraocular lens includes a pair of nipping portions which is formed at the right and left sides of a lens portion and a leg portion which extends from a limbus of the lens portion or each nipping portion. The nipping portion nips a part of the rear side of an iris inside the eye. A front end of the leg portion comes into contact with the deepest portion of a ciliary sulcus. The intraocular lens is reliably fixed to a rear section without suturing by the nipping of the nipping portion and the contacting of the leg portion.

Intraocular lens

Provided is an intraocular lens including a lens and a pair of right and left loop-shaped support portions, and a folding-back portion is provided in the front end of each support portion. A sclera tunnel is formed in the circumferential direction at a position of a depth corresponding to the half of the thickness of the sclera in two symmetrical positions with respect to the visual axis in a portion adjacent to a limbus of the sclera. The front end of the support portion is extracted from the ciliary sulcus and is inserted into the sclera tunnel, so that the intraocular lens is fixed into the eye. Furthermore, at that time, the folding-back portion is hooked to a certain portion inside the sclera tunnel, so that the support portion is strongly restrained inside the sclera tunnel. As a result, the intraocular lens is more reliably fixed.

An intraocular lens includes a plurality of lenses with a rear lens portion disposed in a posterior capsule from which an eye lens is extracted and a front lens portion disposed at the front side inside the eye in relation to the rear lens portion, and a support portion of the front lens portion among the lenses has flexibility. Accordingly, when the inside of the user's eye moves, the support portion is bent, and hence the front lens portion moves. When the front lens portion moves so that the gap between the front lens portion and the rear lens portion changes, a focal distance of a lens system including the front lens portion and the rear lens portion changes. Accordingly, it is possible to realize an intraocular lens capable of changing a focal distance in a manner such that a user moves the inside of an eye.

Provided are an intraocular implant, an intraocular implant set, and an intraocular lens in which the intraocular lens is easily replaced compared to the related art. A support structure is a portion which is used to dispose an intraocular lens (a lens) (in a rear section) inside an eye and is formed separately from the lens. When the lens is attached to the support structure, a configuration is formed which is the same as that of the existing intraocular lens including a lens serving as an eye lens extracted due to the cataract or the like and a portion supporting the lens into an eye. The support structure and the lens may be integrated with each other inside the eye. An embodiment in which only the lens is replaced while the support structure is fixed into the eye and which is not present in the related art can be realized.

Intraocular implant, intraocular implant set and intraocular lens

An ophthalmologic knife includes a handle, and a blade having a base portion fixed to the tip of the handle and an incision-forming portion integrally formed with the base portion. The entire portion of the blade or at least part of the incision-forming portion which is inserted into the cornea of an eyeball has an arcuate cross section. By using the ophthalmologic knife, a three-dimensional incision having an arcuate cross section is formed in the cornea or the like. When a three-dimensional object having a cylindrical cross section or the like is inserted into the incision, the convex portion surrounded by the incision is bent toward the inside of the eyeball. This allows smooth insertion of the object.

A cooking oven includes a box-like casing defining a heating chamber wherein food in placed. A rear plate of the casing has a recess projecting outward, a number of suction holes cut in the bottom of the recess, and a number of discharge holes cut in sections located above and below the recess. A cover is fixed to the outer surface of the rear plate to define a storing chamber. In the storing chamber are arranged a fan for drawing air in the heating chamber into the storing chamber and discharging the air into the heating chamber, and a heater for heating the sucked air. The cover has a first air-directing section for directing part of the hot air from the fan in a direction parallel to the top plate of the casing, and a second air-directing section for directing part of the hot air in a direction different from the direction of the hot air directed by the first air-directing section.
