To provide a non-oil-impregnated sliding bearing having superior low friction capable of suppressing an increase of a shaft temperature in a continuous use, and a bearing apparatus and an image forming apparatus provided with the sliding bearing. Sliding bearingstosupport rotation shafts on cylinder inner surface in a rotatable manner. Each of the sliding bearingstois formed of a molded member of a non-oil-impregnated resin composition that does not contain oil. The resin composition contains an injection-moldable ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene resin as a base resin, a polytetrafluoroethylene resin as an additive, and an acicular inorganic filler having Mohs hardness of 3 or less. The resin composition contains 65 vol % or more of the ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene resin, 5-25 vol % of the polytetrafluoroethylene resin, and 1-20 vol % of the acicular inorganic filler, based on the whole of the resin composition.

An image forming device includes a tripod type constant-velocity joint through which a rotary member shaft of a rotary member is connected to the drive shaft of a motor. The constant-velocity joint includes a pair of outer rings each having three axially extending track grooves in its inner periphery, and a tripod member having three protrusions formed on each of the axial ends thereof and axially slidably received in the corresponding track grooves. The outer rings and the tripod member are formed of synthetic resin. One of the outer rings and the tripod member are inseparably coupled to the drive shaft so that the other of the outer rings is always disconnected from the tripod member when the rotary member is pulled away from the motor.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a sliding bearing which has a simple construction and thus can be produced easily and at a low cost and yet eliminates the need for the use of a heat insulation sleeve and the like and is capable of maintaining a frictional torque to a low extent. The present invention provides a sliding bearing which is inexpensive, has a simple construction, and is capable of keeping a frictional torque low. A sliding bearing () supports a heat roller such as a fixing roller, a pressure roller, and the like of an image-forming apparatus is constructed of an outer ring () and an inner ring (). The outer ring () is made of synthetic resin and the inner ring () is made of a sintered metal, or the outer ring () is made of a sintered metal and the inner ring is made of synthetic resin. A method for manufacturing a plate-shaped peeling member having a thin metal plate and a resin sheet adhered thereto by wrapping the resin sheet around a leading edge of the thin metal plate. The plate-shaped peeling member peels paper from a roller or a belt of an electrophotographic apparatus, with a leading edge of the thin metal plate in contact with or being adjacent to the roller or the belt. An optical pick-up allows a lens to be supported at high dimensional accuracy for a high-density recording medium, and suppresses resonance for a high-speed access. The optical pick-up includes a supporting shaft, and a lens holder which fits on a supporting shaft rotatably, wherein the supporting shaft is formed of ceramics containing zirconia, and wherein the lens holder is formed of a liquid crystal resin composition. The optical-pickup includes a lens holder having a shaft hole which fits on a rotating shaft and a plurality of object lens holes, wherein the lens holder is a molded product of a resin composition of a liquid crystal resin or a polyphenylene ether resin mixed with a fibrous filler. The molded product has flexural elastic modulus of 10 GPa or more. The lens holder includes a bearing part formed vertically to a lens receiving surface with an excellent inner diameter roundness and excellent mechanical strength.

A heat insulation sleeve and a bearing device using the heat insulation sleeve capable of reducing generation of periodical or sudden noises generated in the periphery of a fixing device are described. A flange of the heat insulation sleeve does not break to be used for a fixing roller incorporated in an energy-saving type electrophotographic apparatus such as a laser beam printer or the like which is heated and cooled frequently at short intervals. Both ends of the slit overlap each other in an axial direction of the heat insulation sleeve. And the heat insulation sleeve has a projection formed at a peripheral end opposite to a flange-disposed side. The heat insulation sleeve is press-fitted on an inner ring of a rolling bearing.
