A particle radiation monitoring apparatus according to one aspect of the present invention includes a detecting unit to detect radioactive ray information of braking radiation from electrons undergoing action of particle beams incident on an irradiation body in accordance with a positional relation with the irradiation body and a calculating unit to calculate information on behaviors of the particle beams in the irradiation body from the radioactive ray information of the braking radiation corresponding to the positional relation that is detected by the detecting unit.

Particle radiation monitoring apparatus, recording medium to retain particle radiation monitoring program, and particle radiation monitoring method

Plural camera heads are each placed in a position capable of detection of radiation emitted from a radiation source. Compton cones obtained from the detection data output from each of the plural camera heads are projected onto three-dimensional space and an image based on the radiation source is reconstructed. In addition, projected images from projecting Compton cones obtained from the detection data output from each camera head onto two-dimensional planes are also employed for determining a three-dimensional space excluding regions where the radiation source is not present. Reconstruction of images based on the radiation source is then performed within the determined three-dimensional space.

Compton camera

A subject is imaged for treatment of the subject such as an eye to be inspected, while irradiating a charged particle beam on the eye, so that an aim position of a charged particle beam for treatment can be determined. The device for determining an aim position of a charged particle beam includes a range adjusterthat adjusts an irradiation position, in a depth direction of the eye, of a charged particle beam irradiated from a charged particle beam source, a mirrorthat transmits or passes the position determining charged particle beam and reflects an emitted light emitted from a region of the eye on which the charged particle beam is irradiated and an emitted light emitted, due to an irradiated of an excitation light, from a region including the region of the eye on which the position determining charged particle beam, toward the outside of the axis of the charged particle beam, and an eyeground imaging devicethat is arranged at a position where the emitted lights reflected from the mirror are incident and images the region including the region of the eye on which the charged particle beam is irradiated by causing the emitted lights to be incident, so that it allows to determine an aim position of a charged particle beam for treatment based on a imaged image.

A radiation-resistant grease that is stable under elevated temperatures is disclosed. The grease is prepared by mixing a bentonite-based thickening agent with a base oil composed of m-(m-phenoxyphenoxy)diphenyl, pentaphenyl ether, a monoalkyltriphenyl ether or a monoalkyltetraphenyl ether (provided that the alkyl group contains 6-20 carbon atoms). To the mixture is added, if necessary, a gelling aid composed of an aliphatic alcohol, an aliphatic ketone and/or an aliphatic carbonate ester.

Super highly radiation-resistant grease

A radiation-resistant grease employed in various machines at nuclear facilities, based on (A) an oil principally composed of a phenoxyphenoxydiphenyl and a mono- and/or dialkyldiphenyl ether and (B) a bentonite based thickening agent, if necessary, together with (C) a gelling aid of alcohol, ketone, or carbonate ester.
