An implant overdenture system is used to fix an implant overdenture onto alveolar ridge by the support of implants. The implant overdenture has artificial teeth, a denture base, and magnetic assemblies. The implants each have an implant body and a keeper. A largest circumscribed circle diameter din an outer shape of a surface-to-be-attracted of the keeper is equal to or larger than &#x3c6;1.8 mm, and a largest diameter dof the implant body is equal to or larger than &#x3c6;1.2 mm and equal to or less than &#x3c6;3.5 mm, and these largest diameters have a relationship expressed by d/d&#x2264;1.5.

Implant overdenture system and implant

A magnetic device includes a cylindrical portion and a flange portion. The cylindrical portion is mounted with a cylindrical shaped flexible sleeve. The sleeve is axially longer than the cylindrical portion and includes an outer peripheral concavo-convex portion. When one end of the sleeve is abutted on a flange portion, the other end of the sleeve is projected above an attractive surface to form a keeper housing recess. The sleeve is relatively moved in an axial direction of the magnetic device to be inserted into and removed from a top end of the cylindrical portion. The magnetic device is used under condition the sleeve is fitted, an outer side surface of the magnetic device including the outer peripheral concavo-convex portion of the sleeve and the flange portion abutted on the one end of the sleeve is embedded in a denture base, and the keeper housing recess is exposed.

Denture attachment

A dental attachment is embedded in a denture base so as to attach to a keeper made of a soft magnetic material built in a tooth root by magnetic attractive force. The dental attachment comprises an attachment main body which has a magnetic body delivering magnetic attractive force and a cap which covers a head portion located on the opposite side of an attractive surface to attach the keeper of the attachment main body. The cap, made of a non-magnetic material, is installed in the attachment main body so as to be able to move between a contacting position (A) which contacts with the head portion and an extended position (B) which is far from the head portion for a certain distance.

Denture attachment, denture and process for producing the same

A dental attachment includes a magnet element delivering a magnetic attraction force, a yoke made of a soft magnetic material and having a recess for housing the magnet element, and a disc consisting of the soft magnetic material and joined to the yoke so as to close the opening of the recess with the magnet element housed in the recess. The yoke has an almost disc shape and has collars protruding radially outwardly from the outer peripheral surface thereof. The collars are formed to be separated in at least two locations in a substantially peripheral direction, and non-protruding portions having radially outward projection amounts of zero or up to 50% of the maximum projection amount at the collars are provided between respective collars.

The aim of the present invention is to offer a keeper for a dental magnetic attachment that is strong, has low manufacturing costs, and is not easily detached from the tooth root. The keeper proposed herein has a keeper body, which is shaped like a plate, and a root, which is attached to the bottom of the keeper body. The keeper body and the root are machined from a single piece of soft magnetic material in one piece. The root has a smaller diameter part that is linked to a larger diameter part whose external diameter is larger than an external diameter of the smaller diameter part. The smaller diameter part is linked to the bottom of the keeper. There are multiple circumferential grooves around the outer side of the larger diameter part.

Keeper for a dental magnetic attachment

A dental attachment is disclosed which provides an improved connection force and fitting between an implant and a keeper. A keeper has a main body with a attracted face, a screw part that is located at the back face, a conical tapered shaft, and a projecting ring part. The projecting ring part has an inclining inner face and an acute angle pointed end. An implant has a screw hole part, a conical tapered hole part which has about the same inclining angle of the tapered axle part, and an inclining end face. When the keeper and the implant are connected, the tapered shaft and the tapered hole part are fitted closely and at the same time, the inner face of the acute angle pointed end and the inclining end part are in contact and at least the acute angle pointed end of the projecting ring part is elastically transformed toward the diameter.

Dental magnetic attachment

A dental attachment including a magnetic apparatus with magnetic attractive force, and a keeper that is attracted by the magnetic apparatus. The keeper has a convex shaped part with an attractive surface, and an end face provided around and protruding from the convex shaped part. The magnetic apparatus has a permanent magnet. The magnetic apparatus includes a magnetic assembly with an attractive surface and a non-magnetic guide ring made of non-magnetic material around the magnetic assembly. The non-magnetic guide ring has an end face. The non-magnetic guide ring and the attractive surface of the magnetic assembly form a concave part that receives the convex part of the keeper, and the end face of the keeper faces the end face of the non-magnetic guide ring.

The present invention is a bar type dental attachment for implants that makes use of magnetic attractive force to secure a denture in place. This bar type dental attachment can rotate corresponding to the movement of the denture during occlusion. The present invention has excellent wear resistance and makes insertion and removal of the denture easy. The present invention has a bar type keeper with an arced attractive face with a constant radius of curvature, and a magnetic assembly that comprises a magnet, a pair of yoke plates sandwiching the magnet, and a seal material made of anticorrosive non-magnetic material that covers the magnet and is hermetically sealed. The attractive surface of the magnetic assembly is curved to fit the keeper.

Dental bar attachment for implants

A keeper of the dental magnetic attachment and method for removal of the keeper is disclosed wherein the keeper can be attracted by a magnetic assembly embedded in a denture base. The keeper includes a body made of soft magnetic material and a post made of non-magnetic material that is connected together at the bottom of said body of the keeper. The post has a bendable part that is connected to the body of the keeper.

Keeper for dental magnetic attachment and its removal method

A dental magnetic attachment which has a superior magnetic attractive force with a small nonmagnetic welded part and a flat welded surface to be polished. The dental magnetic attachment including a magnet, a yoke with a pit to hold the magnet, a sealing disk placed on the opening of the pit to cover the magnet and a nonmagnetic welded part between the yoke and the disk. The yoke and the disk are made from soft magnetic material. The nonmagnetic welded part, which joins the yoke and the disk, is formed by welding the yoke, the sealing disk, the sealing ring made from nonmagnetic austenitic stainless steel and a Ni coat between the sealing disk and the sealing ring together. Here, it is preferably that there remains a part of the nonmagnetic sealing ring. The welded surface of the dental magnetic attachment is polished to be flat.

A dental magnetic attachment having good cushioning properties against a compressing pressure which makes a denture sink appropriately on biting. The dental magnetic attachment embedded in the denture base for holding the denture in the oral cavity by a magnetic attractive force working with the magnetic assembly and a soft magnetic keeper embedded in the top of the root surface includes a magnetic assembly and a cap covering the top of the magnetic assembly. The magnetic assembly has a hollow in the center of its top. The cap with a button is placed on the magnetic assembly, inserting the button into the hollow to contact to its bottom. On biting, the button is compressed, to be deformed with a shorter thickness and at this time a sleeve formed as a body around the core slides down along the side of the magnetic assembly to reduce the thickness of the dental magnetic attachment. This sliding makes the denture sink uniformly and appropriately. The dental magnetic attachment has good cushioning properties and offers a good feeling to a patient when biting with the denture.

A dental magnetic attachment embedded in the denture base so as to face a soft magnetic keeper embedded in the top of the root surface comprising a magnet body with a magnet cover sandwiched by a pair of yoke plates and have its magnetic pole to face the yoke plates, the magnet cover made of corrosion resistant non-magnetic material covering lateral face of the magnet body, the pair of yoke plates made of corrosion resistant soft magnetic material, the keeper made of corrosion resistant soft magnetic material, in condition that the yoke plates and the magnet cover are welded together.
