A telescopic shaft for vehicle steering installed in a vehicle steering shaft. A male shaft and a female shaft are non-rotatably and slidably fitted to each other and an outer peripheral portion of the male shaft and an inner peripheral portion of the female shaft come in contact with each other to transmit a torque during rotation. A grease composition which has an apparent viscosity of 400 to 750 Pa&#xb7;s (25&#xb0; C.) at a shear rate of 10 secas defined in JIS K2220 is enclosed in a gap between the outer peripheral portion of the male shaft and the inner peripheral portion of the female shaft.

A coupling structure for coupling a pair of steering torque transmitting members interposed in a steering shaft is arranged such that a steering torque is transmitted from one of the steering torque transmitting members to the other through a pin. One of the steering torque transmitting members has a pin insertion hole formed with a large diameter hole portion, a stepped receiving portion and a small diameter hole portion, while the pin has a large diameter portion, a stepped portion and a small diameter portion which are respectively engaged with the large diameter hole portion, the stepped receiving portion and the small diameter hole portion of the pin insertion hole.

A webbing anchorage is provided for use in a seat belt system. The webbing anchorage comprises a bolt; an anchor metal plate having a base portion and a free end portion, said base portion defining a bolt hole through which said bolt is inserted, and said free end portion defining a slot through which a webbing can extend supportedly; a lower cover extending over one side of said base portion of said anchor metal plate; a flexible upper cover member extending over at least an opposite side of the said base portion of said anchor metal plate; and an impact-absorbing member arranged within a space between an inner wall of said upper cover member and at least one of said opposite side of said base portion of said anchor metal plate and a top wall of a head portion of said bolt.
