A bicycle operating device comprises a base structure, an operating member, an adjustment member, a receiving member, and an elastic member. The adjustment member is attached to one of the base structure and the operating member to change a rest position of the operating member relative to the base structure. The receiving member is provided to the other of the operating member and the base structure to be movable with the adjustment member in response to a pivotal movement of the operating member relative to the base structure. The elastic member is provided between the adjustment member and the receiving member to keep a clearance between the adjustment member and the receiving member in a rest state where the operating member is in the rest position.

Bicycle operating device

A bicycle operating device is provided with a support structure, a release member, a first operating member and a release pawl. The release member is pivotally supported on the support structure to pivot about a pivot axis between a first non-releasing position and a first releasing position. The first operating member is movably supported on the support structure between a rest position and an operated position. The release pawl is movably mounted on the first operating member. The release member includes a first abutment and a second abutment. The second abutment is circumferentially spaced from the first abutment with respect to the pivot axis. The release pawl is selectively arranged to engage one of the first and second abutments, and pivot the release member during movement of the first operating member from the rest position towards the operated position without engaging the other of the first and second abutments.

A bicycle operating device comprises a base member, a cable control body, a positioning pawl, a stopping member, and a stopping pawl. The positioning pawl is movable between a holding position to stop a movement of the cable control body in a first direction, and a non-holding position to allow a movement of the cable control body in the first direction. The stopping pawl is movable between a stopping position to stop a movement of the stopping member in the first direction, and a non-stopping position to allow a movement of the stopping member in the first direction. The stopping member is coupled to the cable control body such that the cable control body is movable relative to the stopping member within a movable range while the stopping pawl is arranged at the stopping position.

A bicycle operating device includes a bicycle component positioning unit that basically includes a positioning structure and a maintaining member. The positioning structure is configured to be movable in a first direction and a second direction that is opposite the first direction. The maintaining member is configured to move between a first position that maintains the positioning structure in one of a plurality of predetermined positions and a second position that releases the positioning structure to move to another one of the predetermined positions. The maintaining member contacts the positioning structure. The positioning structure and the maintaining member are configured such that the maintaining member applies a rotating force on the positioning structure in the first direction as the maintaining member moves from the second position to the first position.

A rotatable annular bicycle component comprises an outer annular member, an intermediate supporting member, and a hub engaging member. The outer annular member comprises a first material. The outer annular member is attached to the intermediate supporting member. The intermediate supporting member comprises a second material different from the first material. The hub engaging member is configured to be attached to the intermediate supporting member and is configured to engage with a bicycle hub assembly. The hub engaging member comprises a third material different from the second material.

A bicycle shift operating device is provided with a base member, a shift unit and a position sensing device. The base member includes a body portion with an internal cavity. The shift unit is disposed in the internal cavity of the body portion. The shift unit includes a movable portion that selectively moves between a plurality of predetermined operating positions. The position sensing device is removably attached to the body portion while the base member is attached to a bicycle. The position sensing device includes a sensor component that senses the operating position of the movable portion.
