The CGH (computer generated hologram) readout section ( ) reproduces an image of the CGH ( ), which is formed in the data storage area ( ) of the crude card ( ). The CGH certifying section ( ) judges whether the card is genuine or fake and obtains an ID (identification) information. In a case that the card is genuine, the ID information is supplied to the data processing section ( ). The data processing section ( ) inputs a personal information of a person to be a cardholder and also inputs a face picture of the person. These data are registered in the database ( ) in response to the ID information. A part of or all of the personal information is outputted to the IC reader/writer ( ) and written into the IC module ( ). Further, a part of the personal information and the face picture are outputted to the color printer ( ) as a printing information and printed on the surface of the crude card ( ). Then the personal ID card ( ) can be issued after forming a protection film over the printed surface of the card.

System of issuing card and system of certifying the card

A storage medium has at least one diffraction grating. The diffraction grating is formed as a holographic interference fringe pattern. The pattern is formed as it two-dimensionally diffracts an incident light beam in a plurality of directions or one-dimensionally diffracts an incident light beam in a direction. A combination of such patterns and also a plurality of rows of such patterns on the storage medium are available. A light beam is radiated to the storage medium. The light beam diffracted in the direction(s) is detected by a photodetector, such as a CCD device, that generates a signal carrying data stored as the holographic interference fringe pattern. The signal is then decoded by a processor to reproduce the data.

An electrostatic latent image developing method and an apparatus used in the latent image developing method are disclosed. In a first image developing method, a bias supply voltage provided to a developing dish is gradually increased during a developing process so as to prevent a decrease in an effective bias voltage applied to the developing dish caused by the attachment of the toner to the developing dish. Further, in a second developing method, the electrostatic latent image is formed on a photosensitive member by scanning a laser beam on a preliminarily charged photosensitive member in a lateral scanning direction, the thus formed latent image is developed by absorbing a toner in a liquid developer in a developing dish, wherein a cleaning pattern image having a large toner absorbability for absorbing the toner attached to a surface of the developing dish is provided on the photosensitive member by the laser beam before and/or after the latent image is formed on the photosensitive member.

Electrostatic latent image developing methods and apparatuses for use

A graduation reproduction method in performing the halftone recording due to screen percentage by a light spot of a light beam with the light beam being intensity-modulated on the basis of digital image data in accordance with a binary recording technique. An illumination time value is reduced with respect to the normal illumination time value determined under a recording condition set to record a minimum recording dot on the recording medium. The reduced illumination time is set as a unit illumination time at the time of the recording of the halftone and the secondary scanning speed is reduced in correspondence with the rate of reduction of the unit illumination time relative to the normal illumination time value. Further, in the case that the recording operation is the screen percentage to be effected by the light spot only for the unit illumination time, the exposure is arranged so as not to be effected by the light spot, or arranged to be effected for the normal illumination time value.

Graduation reproduction in optical recording

The present invention discloses a wet type electro-photographic recording apparatus having a simple structure and a high quality without uneven density, and capable of miniaturizing the apparatus. Around a rotary drum, an exposing section, a pre-bath treatment portion and a developing portion are disposed. The exposing section is disposed on an upstream region in a rotating direction of the rotary drum with respect to a lower extreme position of the rotary drum, and in an upper portion of the rotary drum. The pre-bath treatment portion is disposed at a position between the upper portion where the exposing section is disposed and the lower extreme position of the rotary drum. The pre-bath treatment portion has at least a supply section provided at a high level position for dropping pre-bath liquid and a pre-bath coating section provided in a lower level position for coating the dropped pre-bath liquid on the electro-photograph recording sheet, whereby the electro-photographic recording is pre-bathed by using the high insulating liquid having phase solubility with electrically insulating liquid used as a wet type developer. The developing section having a developing electrode is disposed substantially close to the rotary drum and in an upstream in the rotating direction of the rotary drum with respect to the lower extreme position of the rotary drum.

Wet type electro-photographic recording apparatus

A pulse-width modulation device for controlling shapes of dots printed out by a printer by regulating shapes of pulses of pulse-width modulation signals, which respectively represent gray levels of pixels of input image, according to code signals respectively indicating shapes of pulses of pulse-width modulation signals, each of which has a duration composed of time slots respectively corresponding to bits of image data representing a gray level of a pixel. The pulse-width modulation device is provided with a code converter for converting image data corresponding to each pixel of an input image into a predetermined code indicating a shape of a pulse of a corresponding pulse-width modulation signal and for outputting a code signal representing the predetermined code. The indicated shape of the pulse is formed by making the corresponding pulse modulation signal have a high level at a predetermined number of time slots thereof, which are serially counted from the time slot corresponding to the most significant bit of the image data or from the time slot corresponding to the least significant bit of the image data according to a gray level of each pixel. The pulse-width modulation device is further provided with a pulse generating circuit for receiving the code signal and for generating the pulse of the predetermined pulse-width modulation signal according to the code in response to a predetermined clock signal.
