An electronic camera includes an imager. An imager outputs an electronic image corresponding to an optical image captured on an imaging surface. A first generator generates a first notification forward of the imaging surface. A searcher searches for one or at least two face images each having a size exceeding a reference from the electronic image outputted from the imager. A controller controls a generation manner of the first generator with reference to an attribute of each of one or at least two face images detected by the detector.

Electronic camera

A digital camera of the present invention comprises a control circuit executing an initialization processing of a recording medium mounted thereon and a series of photographing processings. The control circuit starts the initialization processing of the recording medium when a power of a camera body is turned on, and thereafter, determines presence/absence of an image recording operation regardless of whether or not the initialization processing has been completed. The control circuit starts the series of photographing processings when it is determined that the image recording operation has been performed, then, when either the exposure processing or one or more steps of signal processing is completed, suspends the series of photographing processings to determine whether or not the initialization processing of the recording medium has been completed, and resumes the series of photographing processings when it is determined that the initialization processing of the recording medium has been completed.

An OSD circuit superimposes a mask image on a video imaged by a camera main body in a camera device. A microcomputer performs processing for changing the position where a mask image is displayed (superimposed) within a range of imaging with the camera device on the basis of a signal representing the pan/tilt position of the camera device. At this time, when the mask image is moved in the pan direction from an area where the initial position of the mask image is set, the position and the size of the mask image are corrected depending on the amount of movement of the mask image and the tilt angle of the camera device.
