A liquid ejecting apparatus includes an ejecting head and a camera unit for acquiring a state of the ejecting head, in which the camera unit includes a camera for imaging an object, a housing in which the camera is housed and which includes an opening on an imaging path that couples the camera and the object, and an opening/closing member, the opening/closing member includes a reference chart serving as a reference for adjustment of the camera and a chart cover, in a first mode, the opening/closing member brings the opening into a closed state, and the chart cover covers the reference chart, in a second mode, the opening/closing member brings the opening into an open state, and the chart cover covers the reference chart, and in a third mode, the opening/closing member brings the opening into the closed state, and the chart cover does not cover the reference chart.

Liquid ejecting apparatus

A first wiring supplies a first driving signal to one end of a first piezoelectric elements; a second wiring supplies a first voltage to the other end of the first piezoelectric element to allow the first voltage to maintain the other end of the first piezoelectric element to a common electric potential; a third wiring supplies a second driving signal to one end of a second piezoelectric elements; and a fourth wiring supplies a second signal to the other end of the second piezoelectric element to allow the second signal to maintain the other end of the second piezoelectric element to the common electric potential. A liquid discharging apparatus includes a print head that has a driving element and discharges a liquid, a drive signal generation circuit that generates the drive signal based on a drive signal generation control signal for controlling generation of the drive signal, and a drive circuit substrate on which the drive signal generation circuit is provided. The drive circuit substrate has an input connector that inputs the drive signal generation control signal into the drive circuit substrate and an output connector that outputs the drive signal from the drive circuit substrate. A distance between the input connector and the output connector is shorter than a distance between the drive signal generation circuit and the input connector. The distance between the input connector and the output connector is shorter than a distance between the drive signal generation circuit and the output connector.

A liquid discharging apparatus includes a print head that discharges a liquid, a carriage that is mounted on the print head, a control signal generation circuit, a drive signal generation circuit, a first cable through which a drive signal generation control signal is transmitted to the drive signal generation circuit, a second cable through which a drive signal is transmitted to the print head, a control circuit substrate on which the control signal generation circuit is provided, and a drive circuit substrate on which the drive signal generation circuit is provided. A printer includes a base on which a medium is mounted, a liquid ejecting unit which performs printing on the medium mounted on the base, an AC servo motor which is installed in the base, and is driven when the base and the liquid ejecting unit are relatively moved, an inverter which is installed in the base and drives the AC servo motor based on power supplied from an external AC power supply, and a power supply portion which is installed in the base and supplies the power supplied from the AC power to the liquid ejecting unit supply through the power transmission cable. The power supply portion includes an AC/DC converter that converts the AC power to DC power and outputs the converted DC power to the power transmission cable.

A printer includes a light source module including an ejecting head that ejects a UV ink onto a medium. The UV ink hardens when irradiated with a UV light ray. A writing device is provided for color electronic paper which is capable of performing full color display. The writing device includes a head unit, a head unit moving mechanism which moves the head unit in a first direction, a feeding mechanism which moves electronic paper, and a controller. The head unit includes a writing head, an LED which emits light of three primary colors, an image sensing element consisting of a CMOS sensor, and an optical system. The writing head includes an optically transparent head main portion provided with pixel electrodes, and a common electrode (counter electrode). In the controller, an arrangement of three types of microcapsules in a microcapsule layer is detected to perform electric field formation for each of the pixel electrodes based on a detection result.

A cholesteric liquid crystal driving device according to the present invention includes a first driving circuit for displaying one part of the image data to be displayed by a cholesteric liquid crystal on a first scanning line by driving the cholesteric liquid crystal on the first scanning line in accordance with first and second cycles; and a second driving circuit for displaying the other part of the image data to be displayed by a cholesteric liquid crystal on a second scanning line by driving the cholesteric liquid crystal on the second scanning line in accordance with a third or fourth cycle.

A system and method of pointed position detection, a presentation system, and a program for accurately detecting a pointed position based on an infrared image or the like. The configuration comprises a CCD camera for taking an image of an image display region, and a processing section that functions as a position detection means which detects a pointed position of a pointing image within an image display region that has been formed by infrared light through an optical filter that passes only infrared light. A movement magnitude computation section within the processing section detects movement of a pointer implement, based on the infrared image that was formed by infrared light and taken by the CCD camera, and a pointing coordinate detection section detects the pointed position of that pointing image in a state in which movement of the pointer implement is halted.
