A vehicle () has mounted therein an engine (), a first rotating electric machine (), and a second rotating electric machine (). The power of the engine () and the power of the first rotating electric machine () are separately transmitted from different power transmission paths () to drive wheels (). The power of the engine () is also transmitted to the second rotating electric machine () and utilized to generate electrical power. The vehicle () is provided with a connecting/disconnecting mechanism () on the power transmission path () that transmits the power of the first rotating electric machine () to the drive wheels (). A controller () of the vehicle () calculates a requested driving power of the vehicle (), and when the connecting/disconnecting mechanism () is shifted from a disengaged state to an engaged state to deal with an increase in the requested driving power while the engine () is running, makes the second rotating electric machine () power run and transmits power of the second rotating electric machine () to the drive wheels ().

Controller for vehicle

A regenerative braking control apparatus equipped on an electrically driven vehicle having road wheels and an electric motor for driving the road wheels for running. An operation unit is provided for the driver of the vehicle to select a magnitude of the braking force to be generated by the electric motor during regenerative braking. A determination unit determines, on the basis of conditions of the electrically driven vehicle, whether or not a selected braking force selected through the operation unit is acceptable. A notifier unit is constructed such that, in a case where the selected braking force is determined to be unacceptable by the determination unit, the notifier unit provides a corresponding notification to the driver.

Regenerative braking control apparatus for electrically driven vehicle

An ignition switch is turned on, and when an abnormality is detected in any of electronic control instruments or sensors, real failure is established, and a fail-safe process is performed. After a lapse of a predetermined period from the establishment of the real failure, fault determination is established, a failure level is sent, and a hybrid fail-safe process is performed. Then, when the abnormality is eliminated, the real failure is not established, and the fail-safe process of an engine is finished. Then, when the ignition switch is turned off and then again turned on, sending of the failure level to a hybrid control unit is stopped, and the hybrid fail-safe process is finished.

An electricity supply vehicle is provided with an electricity storage device charged with generated energy of an electric generator driven by an internal combustion engine mounted on the electricity supply vehicle or with regenerated energy of the electricity supply vehicle and is operable to supply electricity to an external equipment located outside of the electricity supply vehicle during stop of the electricity supply vehicle. The electricity supply vehicle includes: a setting unit configured to set expected supply electric energy to be supplied to the external equipment; and a determining unit configured to determine, based on the expected supply electric energy, a target charging amount of the electricity storage device to be charged during running of the electricity supply vehicle.

The invention provides a battery management system which can reliably and easily manage a power unit of an electric vehicle. The power unit includes a plurality of battery modules. The battery management system includes: a power source for a motor, the power source being constituted by a plurality of battery modules having battery cells; battery module status sensors mounted on the battery modules on the one to one basis, detecting voltages and temperatures of the battery modules; and a control unit judging statuses of the battery modules on the basis of data detected by the battery module status sensors. The battery module status sensors are mutually connected in series by a communication line for transmitting numbering data, and each battery module status sensor assigning itself with an ID code on the basis of ID information received from an upstream battery module status sensor, and transmitting the ID information as well as the ID code to a downstream battery module status sensor. The control unit is connected to the battery module status sensors via the communication line for transmitting the numbering data and a communication line for transmitting various data except for the numbering data, and locates an abnormal battery module on the basis of detection information received via the communication line for transmitting the numbering data and the communication line for transmitting various data except for the numbering data.

Battery management system for electric vehicle

A motor torque control device of an electric vehicle sets creep torque in accordance with a vehicle speed sensed by a vehicle speed sensor, and sets acceleration torque in accordance with an accelerator control input sensed by an acceleration sensor. Then, the motor torque control device calculates a torque command value by adding the creep torque to the acceleration torque. It is therefore possible to quickly raise the acceleration torque immediately when an accelerator is operated to start the vehicle. It is also possible to prevent a sharp decrease in the torque command value since the torque command value reflects the creep torque even after the start of the vehicle.
