Disclosed is a female coupling member which includes a housing having a fluid passage extending therethrough, a valve member selectively opening and closing the fluid passage, and a valve open-closed state indicating member. The valve open-closed state indicating member has a valve open state indicating part and a valve closed state indicating part and is displaced in response to the displacement of the valve member. When a male coupling member is connected to the female coupling member, and when the valve member is in an open position, the valve open state indicating part is visible from the outside of the housing through a window of the housing, whereas, when the valve member is in a closed position, the valve closed state indicating part is visible from the outside of the housing through the window.

A female coupling member includes a coupling member body having a fluid passage and being configured to receive a male coupling member from a front end thereof, and a valve member disposed in the coupling member body to traverse the fluid passage. The valve member has an opening and is displaceable between an open position and a closed position. In the open position, the valve member communicates between a front end side and a rear end side of the fluid passage through the opening. In the closed position, the opening is located outside the fluid passage to close communication between the front end side and the rear end side of the fluid passage. The valve member has a purge passage configured to communicate with both the front end side of the fluid passage and the atmosphere outside the female coupling member when the valve member is in the closed position.

A pipe coupling member for high-pressure fluid such as liquefied hydrogen includes a seal ring having a highly effective sealing function to prevent leakage of the fluid. The seal ring () is set in a seal ring setting space () defined by a second radial surface () and a seal ring setting surface () of a first tubular member (), a forward end surface of a second tubular member (), and the outer peripheral surface of a valve seat member (). A forward end portion of the second tubular member () is provided with a communication hole () radially penetrating the forward end portion. The pressure of the high-pressure fluid on the downstream side of a valve seat surface () causes a fluid path in the second tubular member to be communicated with the sealing ring setting space () via the communication hole () and via a gap between the seal ring setting surface () and the outer peripheral surface of the forward end portion of the second tubular member.

The pipe coupling has a tubular housing (), a first locking member (), a pressing member (), a valve member (), and a second locking member () provided between the valve member () and the pressing member (). Methods of suppressing growth of pancreatic tumors or cancer cells having a K-ras gene point mutation in a mammal, comprising: administering therapeutically effective amounts of adenoviral vector and antisense K-ras expressing vector to pancreatic cancer cells via intratumoral administration, wherein the adenoviral vector comprises a DNA sequence encoding a human IFN-alpha and operably linked to a promoter, and the pancreatic cancer cells to which the adenoviral vector is administered express the human IFN-alpha; and the antisense K-ras expressing vector comprises an antisense K-ras nucleotide sequence, wherein the antisense K-ras nucleotide sequence is operably linked to a promoter, and the pancreatic cancer cells to which the anti-sense K-ras expressing vector is administered express the antisense K-ras nucleotide sequence; whereby expression of the human IFN-alpha and the antisense K-ras nucleotide sequence suppress growth of pancreatic tumor or cancer cells in the mammal.

Interferon alpha and antisense K-ras RNA combination gene therapy

A viscous and rubber-type torsional damper including a boss portion, a pulley portion, and connecting members for elastically connecting the boss portion and the pulley portion. The connecting portions are spaced from each other in an axial direction of the torsional damper and define a fluid-tight closed space therebetween. At least one protrusion is formed on at least one of the boss portion and the pulley portion. The protrusion protrudes into the closed space and a gap is formed between the surfaces of the protrusion and the surfaces opposing the protrusion. The area between the surfaces is filled with a viscous fluid such as a silicone oil. Due to this structure, the viscous damping ability of the damper is increased without increasing the radial size of the damper and without increasing the number of constructing members of the damper.

The flame-retardant cable of this invention is a single-core or multiple-core cable comprising a plastic optical fiber and at least one covering material covering this plastic optical fiber, and this flame-retardant cable is characterized in that at least one covering material is a highly flame-retardant resin, for example, a highly flame-retardant resin having an oxygen index (OI) of at least 32, preferably from 40 to 45, such as chlorinated polyethylene. This flame-retardant cable has an excellent flame retardancy with no lowering of the performances of the optical fiber. Moreover, the cable has an excellent flame resistance.
