An ophthalmologic apparatus has an illuminating system for illuminating the fundus of an eye to be examined with infrared light from substantially the front of the eye to be examined through a pupil area, the illuminating system having a light source, and an image pickup camera for receiving infrared reflected light from the fundus of the eye to be examined illuminated by the illuminating system on an image pickup surface conjugate with the front eye part of the eye to be examined. The turbid state of the light transmitting body portion of the eye to be examined can be ascertained by the image output from the image pickup camera.

A fundus camera includes a light source for observation, and an illiminating optical system having a predetermined illiminating optical axis. The light source for observation illiminates a fundus of an eye via the illiminating optical system. The camera further includes an observation optical system disposed so as to be able to observe the fundus illiminated by the light source for observation, a photographing light source for illiminating the fundus during a photographing operation and disposed on the illiminating optical axis of the illiminating optical system, a photographing system for photographing the fundus illuminated by the photographing light source, and a reflecting member disposed between the light source for observation and the photographing light source on the illuminating optical axis so as to reflect light from the photographing light source in the direction of the fundus during illumination by the photographing light source. The reflecting member is retractable from the illuminating optical axis.

Fundus camera

A non-contact type tonometer in which an air is sprayed on an eye to be examined to deform the cornea and measure the intraocular pressure of the eye to be examined. The tonometer is provided with a cylinder, a piston for compressing the air in the cylinder, a deformation detection system for detecting deformation of the cornea sprayed with the air, and a driving system for driving the piston and having a piston driving spring and a spring operation mechanism. When a measurement is performed, the force is accumulated in the spring, then released by the mechanism.

Tonometer

An ophthalmologic apparatus can measure the eye axis length of an eye to be examined and other information of the eye to be examined (for example, the cornea refractive power). In the case of the measurement of the eye axis length, when moving a detecting terminal itself by driving means, the driving means is controlled so as to slow down the speed of movement of the detecting terminal when the detecting terminal comes near the cornea of the eye to be examined.

A supersonic ophthalmic measuring apparatus includes a supersonic probe for contacting the cornea of an eye to be examined. A medical television system includes a television camera and a selector. The television camera includes a filter for separating visible light into three wavelength regions and transmitting near-infrared rays, and an image pickup element having sensitivity to both visible light and near-infrared rays. The selector selectively supplies the visible light separated into the three wavelength components or the near-infrared rays to the television camera.

An eye fundus camera is provided with an illuminating system for illuminating an eye to be examined, a photographing system for photographing the fundus of the eye to be examined, eye fundus reflected light receiving portions disposed in a plane substantially conjugate with the fundus of the eye to be examined and at a plurality of locations with a spacing greater than the dimension corresponding to the nipple diameter, and a control unit for operation-processing the outputs of the eye fundus reflected light receiving portions and automatically controlling the quantity of photo-taking light.

Eye fundus camera

An eye examining instrument comprises an ultrasonic wave generating source, reflecting members and a receiver. A concave reflecting mirror is provided to direct the generated ultrasonic waves in the direction along the optical axis of the objective lens of the instrument while converging the waves. Also, a concave reflecting mirror is provided to converge the ultrasonic waves reflected upon the cornea of the eye under test and examination into the receiver. The ultrasonic waves received by the receiver are transformed into an electric signal. The electric signal thus produced includes a component informing of the time required to receive the ultrasonic waves after the generation thereof and a component informing of the intensity of the received ultrasonic waves. The time component signal is compared with a reference signal representative of a predetermined working distance between the objective lens and the eye whereas the intensity component signal is compared with a reference signal representative of the alignment of the objective lens with the eye.

Eye examining instrument

In an eye fundus camera an optical system illuminates the eye fundus and a sensor detects the intensity of reflection from the eye. When the intensity of reflection is sufficient to indicate that the person being examined has blinked his eye, the photographic system is disabled.

The present invention relates to an optical instrument for examining the eye fundus which is so designed that in the optical system including an objective lens visible, targets are built for orientating the visual line of the eye to be inspected along the direction convenient for the inspection of the desired part of the eye fundus in order to be able to inspect the desired part. The visible targets are located at the position conjugate to the eye fundus with regard to the optical system including the objective lens in order that the light beam coming from the targets through the objective lens reaches the eye to be inspected. The image of the visible targets is formed on the eye fundus of the eye to be inspected while the eye to be inspected observes the visible targets through the objective lens in such a manner that the visual line is oriented in the direction along which the targets are seen.
