A seal ring and a sealing structure that reduce the deviation of the central axis of the seal ring from the central axis of a shaft thereby preventing the seal ring from abutting against the tip end of a housing in the operation of inserting the shaft in the housing. The seal ring includes a thin partA provided in a range less than 180&#xb0; with respect to a circumferential direction and a thick partB, which is configured to protrude inward in the radial direction from an inner peripheral surface of the thin partA, the thin partA has an abutment joint part, and the thick partB has, at respective ends of both side surfaces on an inner peripheral surface side thereof, a concave partover an entire range thereof to form a gap between the ends of the both side surfaces and corner parts at both ends of a groove bottom of the annular groove.

Seal ring and sealing structure

A seal ring () makes contact with a low-pressure-side (L) side wall surface of an annular groove () and slides against an inner circumferential surface of a shaft hole of a housing () through which a shaft () is inserted. The seal ring includes a pair of recessed portions () extending in a circumferential direction on an outer surface, wherein a distance between a side surface on one side of a protruding portion () that is disposed between the pair of recessed portions () and a side surface on another side of the seal ring (), and a distance between a side surface on another side of the protruding portion () and a side surface on one side of the seal ring () are set to be shorter than a distance between an inner circumferential surface of the seal ring and an outer circumferential surface of the protruding portion ().

Seal for shafts

A sealing device includes a seal ringmade of resin which is in close contact with a side wall surface on a low pressure side of an annular grooveand slides against an inner peripheral surface of a shaft hole in a housingthrough which a shaftis inserted. A metal springpresses the seal ringtoward an outer peripheral surface side, wherein a concave portionis formed on an outer peripheral surface of the seal ringwhich extends from an end portion on a high pressure side of the outer peripheral surface to a position which does not reach an end portion on a low pressure side of the outer peripheral surface, and introduces a fluid from the high pressure side.

Sealing device

The sealing device includes: an outer peripheral ringthat is in contact with a side wall surface of an annular grooveat a low pressure side (L), and slides with respect to an inner peripheral surface of a shaft hole in a housingthrough which a shaftis inserted. An inner peripheral ringmade of a rubber-like elastic body that is in contact with an inner peripheral surface of the outer peripheral ringand a groove bottom surface of the annular groove, respectively. The outer peripheral ringis formed on its outer peripheral surface with a concave portionwhich extends from an end of a high pressure side (H) to a position which does not arrive at an end of a low pressure side, so as to introduce fluid thereinto from the high pressure side.

Sealing device and sealing structure

A seal ring that seals an annular gap formed between a shaft and a housing that has a shaft hole into which the shaft is inserted. The seal ring is configured such that one of both the ends and has a projection projecting in the direction of the circumference of the seal ring. The other end has a recess used in combination with the projection. The seal ring is characterized in that the recess has an inclining side face, which inclines from the direction of the circumference, and the projection and the recess form a sliding part so that a part of the edge of the leading end of the projection slides over the inclining side face of the recess, and portion of the sliding part is formed as a linear sliding portion.
