The rocking control device for a two front wheels rocking vehicle includes a controller that executes a first rocking control which assists a rocking of the two front wheels rocking vehicle and a second rocking control which assists the two front wheels rocking vehicle so that the two front wheels rocking vehicle self-stands at a rocking balanced position where a rocking moment of the vehicle body is canceled out in a lateral direction, wherein controller is configured to switch the first rocking control and the second rocking control to OFF state, and is configured to operate the first rocking control and the second rocking control in combination.

A rocking control device for a two front wheels rocking vehicle includes a high rigidity self-standing controller that executes a high rigidity self-standing control that locks the rocking of the two front wheels rocking vehicle and that assists a self-standing of the two front wheels rocking vehicle, a switch that switches the high rigidity self-standing control to ON or OFF state, and an offset cancellation controller that executes an offset cancellation control that maintains the self-standing state of the two front wheels rocking vehicle until a predetermined traveling state when the high rigidity self-standing control is switched off.

An axle extends in an axial direction. A front wheel is rotatable around a wheel rotational axis. A front wheel supporting arm rotatably supports the axle. A front fork swingably supports the front wheel supporting arm such that the front wheel supporting arm is rotatable in a first direction about the wheel rotational axis. A rotary member is rotatable together with the axle around the wheel rotational axis. An axle rotation detector is supported on the axle opposite to the rotary member in the axial direction to be rotatable around the wheel rotational axis to detect a difference between rotational speeds of the axle rotation detector and the rotary member. A link mechanism is provided between the axle rotation detector and the front fork to turn the axle rotation detector in a second rotational direction opposite to the first rotational direction about the wheel rotational axis.

Straddle-type vehicle

A clutch control system for a transmission for detecting if hydraulic control during shifting is not executed. A first clutch and a second clutch are switched from a disengagement state to an engagement state by receiving a predetermined pressure generated by a hydraulic pump. A transmission executes shifting to an adjacent gear step by operation of switching the engagement state of the first clutch and of the second clutch from one side to the other side. If an elapse time t from the start of clutch switching operation reaches a predetermined time and an input-output speed ratio which is a ratio between engine speed and counter shaft rotational number falls within a predetermined range corresponding to a gear step before shifting, the transmission control unit discontinues the clutch switching operation by stopping the supply of hydraulic pressure to the other side clutch to bring it into the disengagement state.

Clutch control system for transmission

To achieve downsizing and weight reduction of a derailleur shaft and the mounting structure thereof and to improve the rigidity of the derailleur shaft without increasing the thickness thereof more than necessary. A transmission case is divided into left and right halves, and the left and right halves are provided with bosses therein having holes opposing each other. The bosses are brought into abutment with each other and united by fitting tightening bolts to the holes of the bosses and tightening the same. A sleeve-shaped derailleur shaft is fitted on the outer periphery of the bosses to support and mount the derailleur shaft. The derailleur shaft includes a hole at the shaft end thereof. A mounting position of the derailleur shaft is achieved by a pin inserted into the hole and a hole provided on one of the cases.

Structure of transmission for bicycle

A gear-shifting apparatus is provided which easily returns a derailed chain to engagement with a tension and/or guide pulley when the chain comes off the respective pulley due to a gear-shifting operation, and enables a gear-shifting operation to be performed when a gear-shifting is halted or is rotating backward. A derailer includes an arm which supports a tension pulley and a pulley support member which supports a guide pulley. The arm is provided with engagement recovery-guiding parts for causing respectively derailed parts of a chain, which are derailed from the orbital plane of the tension pulley, to engage with the tension pulley. The pulley support member is provided with a first extending part and a second extending part for the purpose of causing derailed parts of a chain, which has been derailed from the orbital plane of the guide pulley, to engage with the guide pulley.

Gear-shifting apparatus for a bicycle, and bicycle incorporating same

A transmission system includes transmission case having a work opening formed therein and configured to avoid the necessity for enlarging a transmission case, to prevent an increase in weight and to prevent and inhibit a reduction in the rigidity of the transmission case due to the presence of the work opening. The work opening provides a point of access to permit manual linking/unlinking of an operation cable to/from a derailleur, while ensuring easy oil lubrication for a chain through the work opening. The transmission system also comprises a sprocket cluster constituted of a plurality of transmission sprockets, and a derailleur. The work opening is formed in an axially directed case wall, which is located closest in the axis direction to a transmission sprocket having the largest outer diameter among the sprocket cluster. The same transmission sprocket is located closest in the radial direction to the work opening.
