An image capturing apparatus that realizes both of efficient heat dissipation and size reduction of an image capturing apparatus body. The image capturing apparatus includes an imaging board having an image sensor mounted thereon, a main circuit board that has heat generating devices mounted thereon and is arranged substantially in parallel to an imaging surface of the image sensor on a rear side of the imaging board, a duct unit disposed on a rear side of the main circuit board, and a cooling fan that draws outside air into the duct unit. The duct unit has a duct base opposed to the main circuit board and disposed substantially in parallel to the main circuit board, and a duct plate disposed obliquely to the duct base at a predetermined angle. The cooling fan is mounted on the duct plate.

Image capturing apparatus capable of efficiently discharging heat from heat generating devices and reduced in size

An image capturing apparatus equipped with a function of performing image stabilization by moving an image capturing section (image sensor) and capable of effectively cooling the image sensor without increasing the size of the apparatus. The apparatus includes an image sensor board on which the image sensor is mounted, an image stabilization mechanism for performing image stabilization by moving the image sensor board, a first duct having an air flow passage and movable, a second duct having an air flow passage and fixedly disposed and connected to the first duct, and a cooling fan for causing outside air to flow through the first duct and the second duct. The image sensor board is held on the first duct.

Image capturing apparatus capable of cooling image sensor

An image pickup apparatus that can efficiently solve problems caused by heat generated by a heat generating element. The image pickup apparatus including a sensor substrate configured to implement an image sensor, and a main circuit board configured to implement a heat generating element. A length of the main circuit board is longer than a length of the sensor substrate in a width direction of the image pickup apparatus. The main circuit board is aslant arranged to an optical axis of the image pickup apparatus so that a first space part will be provided between the sensor substrate and the main circuit board. A cross section of the first space part in a plane that is parallel to both the optical axis and the width direction is approximately triangle.

Image pickup apparatus equipped with heat dissipation mechanism

An electronic apparatus that is capable of cooling heat sources efficiently by taking in outside air through intake ports effectively while reducing the number of components. The electronic apparatus obtains an image signal corresponding to an optical image formed through an image pickup lens. A first heat generating element is implemented in a first substrate. A second heat generating element is implemented in a second substrate. A first duct is connected to the first heat generating element at a position nearer to an exhaust port formed in a housing of the electronic apparatus than a first blower that sends air to the first duct. A second duct is connected to the second heat generating element at a position nearer to the exhaust port than a second blower that sends air to the second duct.
