A connector () comprises a primary resin-molded member () integrally covering both a terminal () and a covering material (). A first sealing material () is disposed at the first joining portion () between the primary resin-molded member () and the covering material () so as to seal the first joining portion (). The first sealing material () is integrally covered together with the primary resin-molded member () by a secondary resin-molded member (). The peeling of the first sealing material () from the first joining portion () is suppressed by the secondary resin-molded member (), whereby the durability of the waterproof structure can be improved.

The shield shell is formed of a shield shell main body, a shield shell auxiliary member and a fixing member. The shield shell main body is made of die-cast aluminum. The shield shell auxiliary member is formed by pressing a steel plate, and has a surface plated with gold. The fixing member has a ring shape, which is formed by pressing a steel plate. With this configuration, it is possible to provide a shield shell that can be manufactured at a low cost, that can improve reliability of the shielding effect, and that can improve assembling workability of the shielded wire.

Shield shell

A cable for supplying electric power to a motor is electrically connected to an inner conductor of a terminal block via a contact by a mating structure of a male connector and a female connector. A connecting member for electrically connecting the inner conductor and a motor winding includes a fixed terminal and a movable terminal. The fixed terminal is electrically connected to the inner conductor by a fixing member and has a portion formed to extend along a terminal at the tip of the motor winding. The movable terminal is elastically deformable in accordance with the position of the terminal and arranged to hold the terminal interposed between itself and the fixed terminal. As a result, a motor module can be assembled to the terminal block integrally formed with a housing, while component tolerance is effectively absorbed by the connecting member.

A connector connection structure includes: a female connector on a housing accommodating a dynamo-electric machine mounted in a vehicle; and a male connector shaped so as to be fitted into the female connector by inserting it with a force not smaller than a predetermined amount. The male connector includes a contact joinable with a contact of the female connector to be electrically connected, and a rod-like lever connected with the male connector via a fulcrum. The lever generates the force not smaller than a predetermined amount by applying, with its one end's position being restricted, a rotation force to the other end. The housing includes a protrusion for restricting the position of the one end.

Connector connection structure

A male connector to be connected to a female connector provided at a housing accommodating a vehicle-mounted electrical device includes a contact point to be connected to a contact of the female connector, a cable connected to the contact point, and a shield shell covering the contact point. A fixing structure for the male connector includes a bolt for fixing the shield shell to the housing, on the contact point side, and a clamp for fixing the cable to the housing, on the cable side. The fixed state of the cable established by the clamp is such a state as to allow for more movement of an object to be fixed than does the fixed state of the shield shell established by the bolt.

A conductive path includes a terminal metal piece; and a bus bar overlapped with the terminal metal piece. The terminal piece and the bus bar are bonded while the terminal piece and the bus bar are deformed to form a recess portion on a surface where the terminal metal piece is overlapped with the bus bar by pressing the terminal metal piece and the bus bar with a die in a direction of intersecting with an overlapped face between the terminal metal piece and the bus bar.

Conductive path and connector

In a conductive path, a terminal portion is integrally formed at an end of the metallic conductor to be connected to the mating terminal. A metallic pipe accommodates the metallic conductor. A tubular-shaped insulating tube is provided between the metallic conductor and the metallic pipe. A bracket conductively connects the metallic pipe to the shielding shell of the apparatus side. The number of parts of the conductive path of the invention is less than that of the conductive path which has a terminal portion separately formed from the metallic conductor and connecting to a terminal portion of the apparatus side.

A relay connector includes a relay terminal metal fitting including a connection part to be connected with the apparatus-side terminal metal fitting and a connection part to be connected with the wire-side terminal metal fitting and a relay housing an engagement part to be engaged with the apparatus-side housing and an engagement part to be engaged with the wire-side housing. when operator cannot reach the apparatus, the operator can connect the relay connector to the apparatus side connector and then the relay connector is connected to the wire side connector.

Relay connector

To securely lock connectors for charging, a charging connectors 1 is engaged with a vehicle-side connector 25, lock balls 9 are engaged with an engaging groove 28 and a locking member 10 is engaged with the lock balls 9. As a result, the connectors 1 and 25 are locked. Since the connectors 1 and 25 are locked by a ball lock mechanism taking advantage of the engagement of the lock balls 9, the connectors can be more securely locked even if the connectors and wires are heavy as compared to a prior art locking mechanism adopting an elastically deformable resin lance or engaging member and, therefore, a better reliability can be ensured.

Locking device for high-voltage cable connectors

A breaker device excellent in safety and contained in a compact casing. In a casing 1, a pair of fixed electrodes 11a, 11b is projected, and a movable electrode 31, which is fitted with and detached from the fixed electrodes, is arranged. A handle 40 is inclinably supported by a supporting shaft 45. On the top surface of an upper casing 3, a pair of poles 70 is erected, and rectangular solid sliding projections 71 are projected, while guiding grooves 73 are formed in side faces of the handle 40. In each of the guiding grooves 73, an arc-shaped portion allowing the sliding projection 71 to rotate about the supporting shaft 45 is provided at an upper end of a linear portion which allows the sliding projection 71 only to slide therealong. When the movable electrode 31 is inserted with the handle being erected, the sliding projections are guided by the linear portions, while the handle 40, maintained in an erected state, is inserted. When both the electrodes are normally fitted, the sliding projections 71 reach the arc-shaped portions and relatively introduce thereinto, whereby the handle 40 can be inclined.

Breaker device

A slidable element is provided for easy positioning in a guide slot when a handle is withdrawn. A handle 40 is inclinably provided on a mount body 35 bearing a movable electrode 31 by a support shaft 45. The support shaft 45 is loosely movable with respect to the mount body 35 by being fixed to the handle 40 and being inserted through oblong holes 42 formed in bearing portions 41 of the mount body 35. In order to withdraw the handle 40, it is necessary to position slidable projections 70 at the bottom ends of linear portions 75 of guide slots 74 while the handle 40 is pulled up. Since the support shaft 45 is movable upward within the oblong holes 42, the handle 40 can singly be pulled up while the movable electrode 31 is still engaged with the fixed electrodes 11a, 11b. During this time, the slidable projections 70 can be positioned and passed through the linear portions 75 of the guide slots 74 with a small force.

A breaker device is provided to prevent an insufficient engagement of electrodes. The device, according to the invention, is excellent in safety because of its construction in which a conductive path is located inside the casing 1 and is allowed to have a compact configuration of particularly low height because a handle 40 can be inclined to its resting position. When the handle 40 is inclined to the resting position while a movable electrode 31 is insufficiently engaged, engaging portions 77 come into contact with receiving portions 75 and a lever action works with the contact positions of the engaging portions 77 and the receiving portions 75 as a fulcrum. As a result, a rotating force applied to an operable portion 40A is translated into a downward acting engaging force applied to the movable electrode 31 via rotation center shafts 45 and a mount body 35. In other words, since the movable electrode 31 is brought into its properly engaged state by inclining the handle 40 to the resting position, the insufficient engagement of the movable electrode 31 can be prevented.

A compact breaker device includes a pair of fixed electrodes 11a, 11b are placed upright at one side of the casing 1, and a fuse 12 is accommodated at the other side thereof. A movable electrode 31 including a pair of fittable terminals 32a, 32b connected with each other is mounted on a mount body 35. By engaging and disengaging the fittable terminals 32a, 32b with and from the fixed electrodes 11a, 11b through the ceiling wall of the casing 1, a breaker switch for connect and disconnect the fixed electrodes 11a, 11b is formed. The fuse 12 is connected in series with the breaker switch. A handle 40 is inclinably mounted on the upper surface of the mount body 35. The handle 40 is firmly held in a standing position and a resting position by a spring member 47 provided between it and the mount body 35. The handle 40 is inclined to the resting position when the breaker device is used, while being held upright when the breaker switch is turned on and off.

Electrical plate terminals 18 and 21 are provided on the left and right sides of a main switch box. Between these is provided a switch mechanism chamber 15 in which associated rod terminals 26 and 27 project from right and left. A connecting tube 28 is provided between the rod terminals 26 and 27 and is mounted for sliding movement in conjunction with pivotal movement of a lever 12 so as to connect and disconnect the terminals 27 and 28. The switch mechanism has a low operating force.
