An electronic component includes an electrochemical element, an electrolyte and an outer housing. The electrochemical element includes leading terminals, an anode, a cathode, a separator, and an insulating member. Respective first ends of the leading terminals are connected to the anode and the cathode. The separator is provided between the anode and the cathode. The insulating member is provided in at least one of the separator, the anode and the cathode. The electrochemical element, impregnated with the electrolyte, has a first end face formed by laminating the anode, the separator and the cathode in sequence, and second ends of the leading terminals are led out of the first end face. The outer housing accommodates the electrochemical element and the electrolyte. The insulating member covers the separator in positions corresponding to the first ends of the leading terminals. An end of the insulating member protrudes from the first end face.

Electronic component and method of manufacturing the same

The electrolytic capacitor includes a capacitor element and an electrolyte solution with which the capacitor element is impregnated. The capacitor element is composed of a positive electrode made of a valve metal, an etched negative electrode containing copper, and a separator disposed therebetween. The electrolyte solution contains complex salt of an azole ring compound with copper ions.

An electrolytic solution for an electrolytic capacitor includes an organic solvent, an additive dissolved in the organic solvent, and an electrolyte. The additive is made of at least one of borates represented by one of formula (1), formula (2), and formula (3). The electrolyte is phthalic acid 1,2,3,4-tetramethylimidazolynium. Here the terminal is CHor H, each of R1, R2, and R3 is one of &#x2014;CHO&#x2014;, &#x2014;CHO&#x2014;, &#x2014;CHO&#x2014;, and &#x2014;CHO&#x2014;, and each of k, l, m, and n is any natural number.

Driving electrolyte and electrolytic capacitor using the same

The polymer electrolyte composite, for driving an electrolytic capacitor, according to the present invention is a composite body comprising an electrolyte and an acrylic polymer containing a copolymer of acrylic derivative. The electrolyte comprises a polar solvent and a solute comprising at least one of inorganic acids, organic acids and salts of such acids. The copolymer of acrylic derivative is a polymer of: a first monomer of at least one of a group of monofunctional monomers of acrylic derivatives each having at least one hydroxyl group at a terminal thereof and a polymerizable unsaturated double bond; and a second monomer of at least one of a group of multifunctional monomers of acrylic derivatives each having plural polymerizable unsaturated double bonds. The polymer electrolyte composite has a high ionic conductivity at room temperature together with a high heat resistance, and does not react with electrode foils such as aluminum, and moreover is superior in the easiness of manufacturing and long life. The present invention also provides an electrolytic capacitor using the polymer electrolyte composite.

An aluminum electrolytic capacitor produced by winding an anode foiland a cathode foilvia a separatorimpregnated with a driving electrolyte solution, wherein the driving electrolyte solutioncomprises a polar solvent, at least one electrolyte selected from inorganic acids, organic acids, inorganic acid salts, and organic acid salts, and a random copolymer of polyoxyethylene and polyoxypropylene having a hydroxy group at one end and a hydrogen group at the other end and the separatoris formed by overlaying a cellulosic fiber-mixed paper, a cellulosic fiber paper, and a cotton linter. The present invention provides a long-lasting driving electrolyte solution higher in electric conductivity and superior in the chemical self-restoring ability and heat resistance at high temperature, and an aluminum electrolytic capacitor using the same.

Aluminum electrolytic capacitor

An electrolytic capacitor including a positive foil, a negative foil and an intervening separator which contains a polymeric electrolyte composite. The polymeric electrolyte composite contains electrolyte in the matrix of copolymeric acrylic ester. The separator contains at least either one of rayon fiber and cotton linter. Or, other separator takes the form of several overlaid sheets, each of the sheet being made of a cellulose fiber. The above-configured electrolytic capacitors have the advantages of high withstanding voltage, high heat resisting property and long life.

The polymer electrolyte composite, for driving an electrolytic capacitor, according to the present invention is a composite body including an electrolyte and an acrylic polymer containing a copolymer of acrylic derivative. An electrolytic capacitor is provided, comprising a capacitor element constituted in the way that an anode foil and a cathode foil with a lead for external connection connected thereto, respectively, are wound, with a separator intervening between them, and a cylindrical metal case, having a bottom, including the capacitor element, and a sealing plate for sealing an opening of the metal case, wherein a gel-like polymer having ion conductivity is formed inside and outside part of the above described capacitor element, and the above described gel-like polymer firmly attached to an inside the above described metal case, and thus the capacitor element is fixed. The gel-like polymer having conductivity is a mixture with an acrylic copolymer, to which an electrolytic solution is infiltrated to uniformly distribute the electrolytic solution. Thereby, an aluminum electrolytic capacitor having high breakdown voltage and high heat resistance, and at the same time excellent strengthened mechanical property against vibration demanded for a capacitor.
