A brushless motor may comprise a rotor comprising a shaft, a back yoke fixed on the shaft, a permanent magnet disposed at an outer circumference of the back yoke and first and second resin portions. The first resin portion may be formed at one ends of the back yoke and the permanent magnet and the second resin portion may be formed at other ends. The first and second resin portions may be fixed the back yoke and the permanent magnet. A communication hole communicating one end side and another end side in the shaft axis direction may be formed through the back yoke or between the shaft and the back yoke. A third resin portion connecting with the first and the second resin portions may be formed within the communication hole. The first, second and third resin portions may be formed integrally.

Regulation of permanent magnet motion in a brushless motor

A fuel pump may include a motor section comprising a rotor and a stator. One of the rotor and the stator may have at least a pair of permanent magnet parts disposed along a first circumferential surface at an interval in a circumferential direction, and at least two magnetic material parts disposed between ends of adjacent permanent magnet parts. The other one of the rotor and the stator may have a first yoke disposed so as to face the permanent magnet parts, wherein a plurality of slots are formed on the first yoke at an interval in the circumferential direction. A surface facing the slots of the magnetic material parts may be shifted, in at least a partial range in the circumferential direction including a permanent magnet part side end where a polarity of a first circumferential surface side is a north pole, from the first circumferential surface in a direction along which a distance to the slots increases.

Fuel pump

On aspect according to the present invention includes a fuel supply system including a backflow preventing device provided in a fuel supply path communicating between a fuel pump and a fuel injecting valve device of an engine. The backflow preventing device can prevent backflow of the fuel from the fuel injecting valve device, so that a pressure of the fuel between the backflow preventing device and the fuel injecting valve device can maintained after stopping the fuel pump.

Fuel supply systems

A fuel pump has a casing and an impeller. The impeller is substantially disk shaped having an upper surface and a lower surface The impeller is rotatable within the casing around a rotational axis. A plurality of impeller depressions is formed in at least the lower surface of the impeller. The plurality of impeller depressions is located on at least one of the inside and the outside of a group of concavities. The plurality of impeller depressions is arranged on a circle around the rotational axis of the impeller. Each of the impeller depressions has its deepest portion in a rear half thereof with respect to the rotational direction of the impeller.

A stator of a rotary electric motor has core segments. All or some of the core segments have terminal mounting members for mounting terminals to which coils are connected. The terminal mounting member and the bobbin for each of the core segments are molded by resin and integrated with the corresponding core segment.

Control devices for fuel pump driving motors

A fuel pump prevents pressurized fuel from being pulled into a clearance between an outer circumference face of an impeller and an inner circumference face of a pump case, thereby allowing the delivery of the pressurized fuel from a pump body side to a pump cover side through through-holes of the impeller. Since a clearance Cbetween an impeller outer circumference faceand a pump cover inner circumference faceis made extremely small, the pressurized fuel is caused to pass via through-holesthat communicate between an upper and an lower side of an impeller. By this means, it is difficult for the pressurized fuel to enter the clearance C, and it is possible to prevent the decrease in pump efficiency caused by pressure at the impeller outer circumference faceand the vicinity thereof.

Mass-produced fuel pumps having a stable pump efficiency comprising a circumferential grooveis formed within a pump bodyand the grooveis divided into a first region having a constant cross-sectional area L, a second region having a cross sectional area that gradually becomes smaller toward the downstream side, and a third region having a constant cross-sectional area M. A suction holeis formed within the pump bodyand is inclined toward the rotational direction of the impeller. The suction holeis communicated with the groovein the first region. Even if the inclination angle of the suction holevaries among mass-produced fuel pumps, the cross-sectional area L of the grooveis constant at the location where the suction holeis communicated with the groove. Therefore, variations in the amount of fuel sucked into the fuel pump can be reduced. Accordingly, pump efficiency of the mass-produced fuel pumps can be stabilized.

A method of driving an engine valve-driving electromagnetic valve, wherein a permanent magnet is provided in a movable element of the electromagnetic valve, and springs are omitted, and wherein repulsion and attraction electric currents are varied according to the engine speed, thereby reducing the electric power consumption. The permanent magnet is magnetized in the axial direction. When the repulsion current is passed through one exciting coil, the attraction current is passed through the other exciting coil, thereby moving an engine valve to an open position. When the attraction current is passed through the one exciting coil, the repulsion current is passed through the other exciting coil, thereby moving the engine valve to a closed position. In the low-engine speed region, the current value is smaller and the energization time is longer than in the high-engine speed region.

Engine valve-driving electromagnetic valve

An exhaust gas flow control valve for an internal combustion engine comprises a body, a diaphragm actuator and a bracket. The body is equipped with an exhaust passage and a valve member arranged in the exhaust passage. The bracket is equipped with an actuator mounting seat for mounting the diaphragm actuator and a body mounting seat connected to the body. The diaphragm actuator is equipped with a casing connected to the actuator mounting seat of the bracket, a diaphragm cased in the casing and a rod protruding from the diaphragm and out of the casing for actuating the valve member in accordance with the action of the diaphragm. Between the actuator mounting seat of the bracket and the diaphragm of the diaphragm actuator, moreover, there is formed an insulating layer for insulating the heat to be transferred to the diaphragm.

The brushless motor includes a stator fixed to an inner circumference of the motor housing; a rotor assembly adapted to be rotated by supplying current to the stator, which rotor assembly includes a motor shaft, a rotor mounted to the motor shaft a rotor cover mounted to one end of the rotor magnet on the side of the pump section, a timing rotor mounted to the other end of the rotor magnet, and a sensor magnet mounted to an end of the timing rotor on the side opposite to the rotor magnet; an end cover mounted at an inlet end of the brushless motor; a motor shaft bearing mounted in the end cover for rotatably supporting the motor shaft; and a timing rotor bearing interposed between an outer circumference of the timing rotor and the inner circumference of the motor housing for rotatably supporting the timing rotor.

Motor-driven fuel pump

A multi-stage motor-driven fuel pump including a motor section provided with an electric motor and a pump section to be driven by the electric motor, the pump section having a plurality of pump chambers partitioned by intermediate plates and communicated with each other by a fuel communication hole formed through each of the intermediate plates. A ratio of a sectional area of the fuel communication hole of any one of the intermediate plates between adjacent ones of the pump chambers to a sectional area of the pump chamber on a lower pressure side is set in a predetermined range such that a gradient of fuel pressure increase in the pump section is increased to early prevent vapor lock.
