A production system is provided in which high production efficiency can be maintained in the entire production line even in cases in which there is a lack of uniformity in the rates at which the articles are actually supplied from a supply unit; the weighing unit, packaging unit, quality inspection unit, or other constituent device has stopped operating; or other problems have occurred. In this production system, a centralized control system controls the set capacities of devices that constitute a production line including a weighing device, a bagging machine, and other devices disposed downstream, so that the capacities are varied on the basis of the detection results of a supply rate detection sensor of a supply device, that is, on the basis of the actual rates of supply from the supply device to the weighing device.

Production system

The present invention provides a seasoning apparatus capable of evenly seasoning each individual article, without seasoning any too heavily or too lightly. Therein, a screw having a helical blade is installed in a tube. The helical blade provides partitions that are provided upright between an article supply port and a discharge port. An article group, before seasoning, is accommodated in a section partitioned by the partitions, the motor rotates the screw, and the article group is transported from the supply port to the discharge port. Therein, each article group is transported to the discharge port separated from other article groups, and each individual article in the article group is seasoned evenly with the same seasoning processing time and the same seasoning supply ratio. In addition, the constitution of the seasoning apparatus is simplified because the screw simultaneously serves the two functions of separating and transporting the article groups.

A seal inspecting machine for inspecting bagged products to determine the presence or absence of a seal abnormality in each bagged product being transported by a transport conveyor includes a presser unit and a servo motor for driving the presser unit to sandwich the bagged product G between the presser unit transport conveyor . The servo motor itself has a capability of detecting a reactive force acting on the presser unit or a displacement of the presser unit that occurs as a result of contact with the bagged product, where any failure of the bagged product to exert a sufficient reactive force or displacement resistance is considered evidence of a seal abnormality being present in such bagged product. With this seal inspecting machine, seal check of the bagged products can be efficiently and inexpensively carried out.

A directing unit which directs bags P arranged in one line of feed rollers to two lines in a packing system for packing the bags P conveyed in one line from a previous process, includes eccentric pulleys a belt and a bag holding plate The belt applies a force containing a component in the horizontal direction to the bags P in a direction crosses the conveyance direction thereof. The bag holding plate is disposed above the feed rollers and controls a lift of the bag P so that the bag P is not lifted more than a predetermined height when the force is applied to the bag P by the belt

Packing system article distributive directing mechanism

A case packer has a product-supplying mechanism for transporting packaged products sequentially to a product-aligning mechanism including a plurality of conveyors arranged longitudinally towards a packing unit for packing a container with these transported products. The aligning mechanism starts to move intermittently every time a product is delivered from the supplying mechanism so as to sequentially align them. The aligned products are thereafter moved in a continuous motion towards the packing unit. Each conveyor of the aligning mechanism is again caused to move in the same intermittent mode of motion every time the products aligned thereon are discharged therefrom.

Case packer

A case packer has an inspection unit, a packing unit and a sorting unit. The inspection unit is disposed on the upstream side of a path of transportation for transporting packaged products and inspects conditions of the products being transported on the path and thereby distinguishes defective products from normal products. The packing unit is disposed on the downstream side and packs a container simultaneously with products delivered to it in a plurality of rows. The sorting unit is disposed between the inspection unit and the packing unit and discharges the defective products away from the normal path of transportation but arranges the normal products in the plurality of rows. The sorting unit uses quasi-circular members with a straight edge. They are rotatable in a plane perpendicular to the path in both directions from a retracted position at which they do not protrude into the transportation path of the products and serve to discharge each of defective products by rotating in one direction. The normal products are arranged in two rows as these quasi-circular members either remain in their retracted positions or rotate in the opposite direction to push the product transversely.

A transport apparatus (C) for transporting products (X), supplied onto a lower transport path, successively to an upper transport path, and a loading apparatus for loading the products (X), which have been transported by the transport apparatus, into a receptacle (Y). The system includes a first transport mechanism (2) for transporting the products (X) towards a pick-up station (P2), a lifter mechanism (4) for holding the products (X), having been transported to the pick-up station (P2), and transferring the products (X) from the pick-up station (P2) towards a delivery station (P3) defined generally above the pick-up station (P2), and a second transport mechanism (5) for receiving the products (X), which have been transferred to the delivery station (P3) by the lifter mechanism (4), and transporting the products (X) towards a stand-by station (P4) defined above a loading station (P5) at which the bagged products are loaded into the receptacle (Y). The lifter mechanism (4) is provided with a holding unit (66 to 69) for holding the products (X) transported to the stand-by station (P4) and a rotary drive unit (60) for rotating the holding unit (66 to 69) to turn the products (X) upside down during the transfer of such products (X) from the pick-up station (P2) towards the delivery station (P3).

Package transporting and loading system

A waterproof automatic weighing apparatus comprising a case hermetically sealed by means of sealing members, internal components lodged in this case, and external components arranged outside this case. The internal components include weight sensing elements, driving sections for opening and closing hopper gates, electromagnetic vibrator sections, and a control unit having an electrical circuit. The external components include a dispersion table, feed troughs, pool hoppers, weighing hoppers, and, as needed memory hoppers. Each of the internal components is hermetically connected to the corresponding external component.

Waterproof automatic weighing apparatus

A weighing system includes a weighing apparatus composed of distributive table, a plurality of radial supply troughs disposed around the peripheral edge of the distributive table for being supplied with articles to be weighed from the distributive table, a plurality of weighing units supporting respective openable weighing hoppers for weighing articles supplied to the weighing hoppers, at least one of the distributive table and the radial supply troughs having a slide surface slanted radially outwardly to a large extent for allowing the articles to slide thereon, each of the radial supply troughs having a radially outer distal end disposed over one of the weighing hoppers, and a collection chute disposed below the weighing hoppers. A liquid drain device is disposed at the distal end of each of the radial supply troughs. A shutter is interposed between each of the radial supply troughs and a corresponding one of the weighing hoppers. The radial supply troughs are supported on respective vibrators which are supported by detachable coil springs on a base plate. The weighing apparatus also includes a device for transmitting an output signal through space when the articles supplied to the distributive table reach a prescribed amount.

Weighing system

A compact combinational weighing apparatus comprises a compact housing structure for weighing devices and a remote control unit which are connected only by an elongate signal-transmitting cable. Inside the housing are a number of article batch handling units disposed in a linear array. Each article batch handling unit includes a pool hopper of a double-gate structure for receiving an article batch from an article feeder and two weigh hoppers for weighing received article batches. The article batch in the pool hopper is selectably discharged into either of the weigh hoppers below by opening the gate corresponding to the selected weigh hopper. The two gates of each pool hopper are closed by a single spring and opened by individual rotary solenoids. Load cells for weighing the article batches in the pair of weigh hoppers belonging to each article batch handling unit are disposed in mutually lined-symmetrical relationship with respect to a horizontal line. Rotary solenoids for opening the weigh hopper gates are disposed in efficiently space-saving manners. A funnel-shaped article discharging unit into which article batches are discharged from weigh hoppers has buffer plates strategically placed to uniformize the time it takes for article batches from the various weigh hoppers to reach an outlet at its bottom.

Compact combinational weighing system

The invention of this application relates to a weighing machine in which a weighing member such as a weighing saucer or hopper holding or accommodating the materials to be weighed is provided on one side of a load cell through a support, and the load cell is supported on the other side thereof on a frame directly or indirectly through an elastic body for absorbing vibrations. The weighing machine is basically constructed so that the load cell is supported on the other side thereof on the frame through a strain generator for allowing damping in the fixed direction and, at the same time, through an anti-vibration damper for improving a damping characteristic, whereby vibrations of the load cell is damped promptly. Further, a dummy cell having the same natural frequency as the load cell is associated with the load cell and then supported on the frame in a similar manner, to remove a vibration signal from the base out of a detection signal from the load cell, thereby making it possible to carry out detection of weight accurately.

There is disclosed a movable timing hopper in an automatic weighing apparatus. The timing hopper is movable between an operating position below a chute of the automatic weighing apparatus and a nonoperating position remote from the operating position in which the timing hopper can be inspected or cleaned to remove any deposited articles.

Movable article discharger in an automatic weighing apparatus

Disclosed in a span adjusting device for an automatic weighing apparatus of the type in which the load of a weighing hopper containing articles to be weighed is applied to a corresponding weighing mechanism through means of a support member adapted for supporting the weighing hopper, and in which the weight is derived as the magnitude of the output signal from a displacement sensor provided on the weighing mechanism. The span adjusting device comprises a reference weight rest which is secured to the support member and on which a reference weight may be placed so that the span weight of the reference weight is applied to the weighing mechanism through means of the support member, and a vertical displacement mechanism, the mechanism including an operating bar passed through the reference weight rest and vertically movable therethrough in such a manner that the reference weight is placed on the end of the operating bar when the bar is located above the weight rest and the reference weight is removed from the end of the operating bar and placed on the weight rest when the bar is moved to a position below the weight rest. The arrangement makes it possible to simplify a span adjustment, and to perform a more accurate span adjustment in a shorter amount of time.
