A display device is configured to, when displaying an indicator needle as rotating with a relatively small rotation amount per unit time, display an indicator needle image while rotating the indicator needle image, and, when displaying the indicator needle as rotating with a relatively large rotation amount per unit time, display an indicator-needle motion-blurred image that corresponds to a rotation range per unit time of the indicator needle. An indicator-needle inner end angle formed by two sides of the indicator needle image that form an end thereof that faces a center of the rotation is equal to a minimum motion-blurred inner end angle formed by two sides of the indicator-needle motion-blurred image that has the smallest rotation amount per unit time while the indicator needle is displayed as rotating, the two sides forming an end of the indicator-needle motion-blurred image that faces the center of the rotation.

Display device

A vehicular display device includes an image display device that is arranged in front of a driver in a vehicle and configured to display an image. The image displayed in an information display area of the image display device includes an information image displaying information according to a mode selected out of a plurality of modes, and a menu image in which a plurality of titles corresponding to the respective modes are arranged in a lateral direction of the image and for which switching is made between display and hidden-display. When an operating input to switch the modes is made while the menu image is hidden, the image display device displays the menu image, and performs animation display that changes a title displayed as active out of the titles from a title corresponding to a mode before change to a title corresponding to a mode after the change.

A vehicular display device includes an image display device that is arranged in front of a driver in a vehicle and that displays images. In a case in which the image display device interruptively displays a warning on a partial region of an image display region, the image display device displays, on the partial region, a warning image indicating warning content and a frame image surrounding the warning image. The image display device performs animation display to change at least one of the position and the shape of the frame image when starting display of the frame image.

A vehicular display device includes an image display device disposed on a position ahead of a driver in a vehicle and displays images, a frame member disposed on a driver side of the image display device and surrounds a part of an image display region on the image display device, and a drive device that moves the frame member relative to the image display device along the image display region. The image display device displays a predetermined image that converges from the frame member toward a convergence point set in advance in the image display region, and, when the drive device moves the frame member, the image display device performs animation display of deforming the predetermined image so as to follow the movement of the frame member while keeping the convergence point fixed.

A vehicle display device includes an image display device disposed in front of a driver aboard a vehicle, and configured to display thereon at least information on traveling conditions of the vehicle, the image display device including an image display region. When an operation input turning on a power supply of the vehicle is provided, the image display device starts an opening presentation thereon in conjunction with the start of an opening presentation on another display device disposed in front of the driver. The image display device displays thereon a predetermined image in a part of the image display region until starting the opening presentation after the operation input is provided.
