A radar device comprises an antenna portion, a radome, and a housing. The antenna portion includes an antenna surface provided with one or more antennas, the antenna emitting a radio wave. The radome is made of a material allowing passage of the radio wave emitted by the antenna portion, and is disposed to face the antenna surface. The housing forms, together with the radome, a space for accommodating the antenna portion. The housing includes a peripheral edge which surrounds the antenna surface and is in contact with the radome, at least part of the peripheral edge includes a barrier part which protrudes outward from the radome along the antenna surface.

Radar device

A radar device configured to emit radio waves and detects an object present in a prescribed detection region includes an antenna unit and a radio wave reflector. The antenna unit is configured to emit the radio waves. The radio wave reflector is disposed in a region around the antenna unit and outside the detection region and includes a reflection surface having a height gradually changed with respect to an installation surface of the radar device.

Radar device and bracket for radar device

A dielectric substrate includes a plurality of pattern layers. A ground plate to be used as a ground plane is formed in a first pattern layer of the dielectric substrate. A functional unit includes a plurality of conductive patches that are parasitic patterns formed in a second pattern layer different from the first pattern layer. The conductive patches are periodically arranged, and sides of the conductive patches along at least one direction are set at a length to cause resonance of a radio wave that propagates through a surface of the dielectric substrate.

High-frequency device

A broadband planar array antenna in one aspect of the present disclosure includes: a multi-layer board; a plurality of patch antenna patterns; and a transmission line that connects the plurality of patch antenna patterns in series. The distance from the transmission line to an end of each of the plurality of patch antenna patterns along the polarization direction of a radiated radio wave is shorter with increasing proximity to a feeding point of the transmission line.

Broadband planar array antenna

A driving control device is configured to control driving of occupant protection devices to be mounted on a vehicle. The driving control device includes a detection result acquisition unit, a collision form estimation unit, and a device selection unit. The detection result acquisition unit acquires a detection result of an object ahead of the vehicle before collision. The collision form estimation unit estimates a form of collision that may occur with the object based on the detection result. When a collision between the vehicle and the object is detected, the device selection unit selects which of the occupant protection devices should be driven based on the collision form estimated by the collision form estimation unit.

Driving control device

A high-frequency transmission line includes a multi-layer substrate, a plurality of line portions, a plurality of signal vias, a ground plane, and a plurality of metal portions. When a high-frequency signal that is transmitted through each of the plurality of line portions is transmitted through the transmission area corresponding to each of the plurality of line portions, the plurality of metal portions confine the high-frequency signal in the transmission area. The plurality of metal portions pass through at least a single dielectric layer, are electrically continuous with the ground plane. The plurality of metal portions are formed along the transmission direction and are arranged in an alternating manner with each of the plurality of signal vias so as to sandwich each of the plurality of signal vias in a direction differing from the transmission direction.

High-frequency transmission line

An antenna device includes a dielectric substrate having a first surface on which an antenna part is formed and a second surface on which a base plate is formed. The antenna part has one or more antenna patterns configured to act as radiating elements. The antenna patterns resonate in one or more resonance directions to incident waves having an operating frequency of the antenna part, thereby generating emitted waves having polarized waves different from those of transmitted/received waves which are transmitted/received by the antenna part. For each of the resonance directions, the antenna patterns include at least one line pattern having a width which is narrower than the total width of the antenna patterns in a direction perpendicular to the resonance direction.

Antenna device

A radar apparatus includes transmitting means, receiving means, target detection means, and a cover member. The cover member is positioned opposite at least one of the transmitting means and the receiving means, such as to cover at least one of the transmitting means and the receiving means. The cover member is provided with a first face which is positioned opposite at least one of the transmitting means and the receiving means, and a second face which is on an opposite side from the first face and is not parallel to the first face.

An antenna device includes a dielectric substrate, a ground plate arranged on a first surface of the dielectric substrate, an antenna part arranged on a second surface of the dielectric substrate, and a reflecting part. The reflecting part is arranged around the antenna part and has a plurality of conductor patches each functioning as a reflecting plate. The plurality of conductor patches form a plurality of blocks aligned along a predetermined block arrangement direction. The plurality of blocks are configured such that phases of reflected waves at an operating frequency are different for each of the blocks and phase differences of reflected waves between adjacent blocks are non-uniformly different for each of the adjacent blocks.

A signal via has a via diameter that causes a high-frequency signal to be propagated through a high-frequency transmission line causing multi mode propagation (multi-mode interference propagation). At least one of the inter-via distance between the signal via and respective ground vias, the via diameter, and the thickness of the multilayer substrate is determined to introduce the high-frequency signal from the interlayer transmission line to the signal lines in the high-intensity region of the multi mode propagation.

A radar apparatus includes an antenna unit and a cover unit. The cover unit is arranged at a position through which an electromagnetic wave sent and received by the antenna unit passes. The cover unit has, in an order from closer to the antenna unit, a first dielectric layer formed of a dielectric and a second dielectric layer formed of a dielectric having a dielectric constant different from that of the first dielectric layer. The first dielectric layer is configured to have a thickness not more than that for a maximum external transmittance. The external transmittance indicates a transmittance of an electromagnetic wave, which is emitted in a direction of an incidence angle with respect to the first dielectric layer, which is equal to a maximum sensing angle, when the electromagnetic wave is transmitted through the cover unit.

Radar apparatus

A reflection reducing apparatus includes a dielectric base plane (), a first patch group, a second patch group, and a ground plate (). A plurality of first conductive patches () each resonate in a first direction (&#x3b1;) and a second direction (&#x3b2;) which are different in resonant length from each other. A plurality of second conductive patches include a first direction-oriented patch () and a second direction-oriented patch () which are different in resonant length from each other. The second conductive patches are arranged along an outer periphery of the first patch group at an interval away from the first patch group.

Reflection reducing apparatus

A radar apparatus that detects an object using radiated waves includes: an antenna surface that includes an element unit that emits a radiated wave for a radar; and a cover member that covers the antenna surface to protect the element unit. The cover member includes an inner refractive surface that is an inner side surface of the cover member on which an undesired wave is incident and is formed into a shape that refracts the undesired wave incident on the inner refractive surface so as to advance towards antenna rear. The antenna rear is a side opposite an antenna front that is a side on which the radiated wave is emitted, with the antenna surface as a boundary. Undesired waves are radiated waves that are emitted outside a range of a predetermined solid angle relative to a normal direction of the antenna surface from a center of the antenna surface from which the radiated waves are emitted.

A radar system detects an object using radar waves and includes an antenna surface and a cover part. The antenna surface is provided with at least one array antenna arranged on a collinear arrangement straight line. The cover part covers the front of an antenna of the array antenna, where the front of the antenna is the side away from which radar waves are radiated with respect to the antenna surface as a boundary. The at least one array antenna is provided with at least one unit antenna where a plurality of antenna elements that radiate radar waves of the same phase are arranged in the same direction as the arrangement straight line. The unit antenna is arranged in a direction perpendicular to the arrangement straight line along the antenna surface. The cover part is configured such that the incidence angle of the radar waves is equal to or less than a Brewster angle.

Radar system

An antenna device includes a dielectric substrate, a ground plane, an antenna unit, and an additional functional unit. The dielectric substrate includes a plurality of pattern formation layers. The ground plane is formed on a first pattern formation layer included in the plurality of pattern formation layers, and acts as an antenna grounding surface. The antenna unit is formed on a pattern formation layer that is included in the plurality of pattern formation layers and that is different from the first pattern formation layer. The antenna unit includes one or more antenna patterns configured to act as radiation elements. The additional functional unit includes one or more parasitic patterns provided on a propagation path for a surface propagating over the dielectric substrate, and causes the surface wave to generate a radiation wave with polarization different from polarization of a radio wave transmitted and received by the antenna unit.
