A radiation treatment apparatus includes a guide and a support member. The guide moves a radiation generating unit along an orbit with a predetermined radius such that an X-ray emitted from the radiation generating unit may cross an isocenter. The support member rotates the guide about a turning axis passing through the isocenter. The radiation generating unit is moved along a spherical plane by the guide and the support member and applies the X-ray toward the isocenter in multiple directions.

Radiation treatment apparatus

The radiotherapy apparatus in the present invention includes a bed, a radiation irradiating head, head swing mechanisms, a precise inspection unit and a control unit. The bed carries a subject. The radiation irradiating head irradiates a treatment radiation to a treatment field of the subject. The head swing mechanisms, which are coupled to the radiation irradiating head, swings the head of the radiation irradiating head so that the treatment radiation emitted from the radiation irradiating head pursues the motion of the treatment field. The precise inspection unit obtains a diagnosis image containing the treatment field. The control unit controls the positions of the head swing mechanisms so that an irradiation field of the radiation irradiating head pursues the treatment field, based on the diagnosis image, the position of the radiation irradiating head and the state of the swung head. Then, the control unit controls the radiation irradiating head so that the treatment radiation is irradiated from the radiation irradiating head, after the positional control of the head swing mechanisms.

Radiotherapy device

A radiotherapy apparatus comprising an irradiation head having a linear accelerator and an intra-head waveguide unit whose one end portion is electromagnetically connected to the linear accelerator, a supporting moving mechanism which supports and moves the irradiation head on predetermined first spherical coordinates, a microwave oscillator which generates microwaves to be supplied to the irradiation head, and which is placed in a stationary position, a fixed waveguide unit having one end portion electromagnetically connected to the microwave oscillator, and the other end portion positioned on the supporting moving mechanism, and a moving waveguide unit having one end portion electromagnetically connected to the other end portion of the fixed waveguide unit positioned on the supporting moving mechanism.

Radiotherapy apparatus

An x-ray treatment apparatus includes an x-ray generating device, a head unit, a manipulator and a microwave source. The x-ray generating device produces x-rays, by letting electrons, which have been emitted from an electron gun, be accelerated by a linear accelerator and strike a target. The acceleration of electrons is effected by microwaves. The x-ray generating device is accommodated in the head unit. The head unit is attached to a distal end portion of the manipulator. The manipulator positions the head unit such that x-rays emitted from the head unit may be applied to a part for medical treatment in a patient. The microwave source is disposed at a proximal end portion of the manipulator. Microwaves are propagated from the microwave source to the accelerator through a waveguide.

Radiation applying apparatus

A multisource type X-ray CT apparatus including a fixed sensor array, a fixed vacuum chamber, and an X-ray generation unit. The X-ray generation unit includes a cathode and an anode which are fixed in the vacuum chamber so as to surround the sensor array, a gate array including a plurality of grid electrodes which are densely fixed between the cathode and anode and which include holes for passing the electron beams, a power source which applies a bias voltage to the grid electrodes of the gate array, and a controller which controls the power supply operation from the power source so as to select the grid electrode suitable for image pickup from the gate array in accordance with an image pickup portion of the subject and to release the bias voltage applied to the selected grid electrode.

Multisource type X-ray CT apparatus

An X-ray CT apparatus comprises a large number of X-ray sources, a detector, and a collimator. The X-ray sources are arranged around an object P of inspection. The detector detects X rays emitted from the X-ray sources. The collimator is located between the X-ray sources and the object of inspection, and restricts the angle of emission of the X rays emitted from the X-ray sources so as to match the size of the detection surface of the detector.

X-ray CT apparatus

A hot dip coating apparatus enables stable and continuous production of a coated steel strip having a high degree of uniformity of the coating quality over the breadth of the steel strip and clean coated surfaces free of deposition of dross. The hot dip coating apparatus has a bottom slit through which a steel strip to be coated is introduced and pulled upward through the coating tank, and an electromagnetic sealing device which applies a magnetic field to the molten metal in the coating tank so as to hold the molten metal inside the tank. The coating tank is provided at its top with an overflow dam for allowing the molten mental to overflow out of the coating tank. The apparatus also has a molten metal supply system which produces a circulating flow of the molten metal through the coating tank. The molten metal supply system has molten metal buffers which communicate with a molten metal supply passage and from which the molten metal is discharged towards the steel strip.

Hot dip coating apparatus

A hot dip coating apparatus and method, enables stable and continuous production of a coated steel strip having a high degree of uniformity of the coating quality over the breadth of the steel strip and clean coated surfaces free of deposition of dross. Hot dip coating apparatus and method

In a molten metal holding apparatus in which an alternating magnetic flux is generated in the horizontal direction at a lower end portion of a molten metal and the molten metal 7 is held within an upper and lower opening container 6 by an electromagnetic force, solid conductors 8 which are not strong magnetic substances are attached to inner surfaces of both side plates 6x of a portion where the alternating magnetic flux passes through of the upper and lower opening container 6. Further, an apparatus including a circuit 3 to overlay a direct current on an exciting coil 2 or an exciting device 20 to let a direct current magnetic flux act is disclosed.

Molten metal holding apparatus

An induction heating apparatus has a coil or coils which can be opened without using electrical contacts. One continuous electric current passageway is formed by a first coil section, a second coil section, a first connecting conductor and a second connecting conductor. By feeding electric power to this electric current passageway and passing an object through a space at the central portion of the coil sections, the object is induction heated. A gap is provided between the first connecting conductor and the second connecting conductor, or the respective connecting conductors can be opened and closed relative to one another to vary the size of the space therebetween. The object to be heated is carried into the space at the central portion of the coil and is carried out therefrom through the gap or the space between the conductors.

Induction heating apparatus having openable and closable coil

An improved method for heat-treatment of a strip in a continuous annealing installation in which the strip is heated or cooled by bringing it into contact with a heating or cooling roll having a thermal medium passed there-through. The improvements exist in that on the basis of much experimental data and mathematical analysis, a favorable range for selecting an outer diameter of a heating/cooling roll is determined as a function of various operation parameters.
