A press-fit terminal includes an end part that is to be inserted into a through-hole of a circuit board. The end part is connected electrically to the through-hole by being in elastic contact with an inner wall of the through-hole. The press-fit terminal also includes a base part opposite to the end part. Two elastic contact pieces are between the end part and the base part and are disposed to face each other through an opening. A stress dispersion part is provided in at least one of a region that includes a border between the end part and the elastic contact pieces and a region that includes a border between the base part and the elastic contact pieces. The stress dispersion part protrudes in the same direction as an expanding direction in which the elastic contact pieces expand.

Press-fit terminal

A connector C is configured so that terminal fittings () extending from a rear surface of a housing () are connected to a board () and a casing () for covering the board () is mounted on the side of an upper surface (U) of the housing (), and drainage grooves () which extend in a width direction of the housing () and opposite ends of which reach opposite side surfaces (S) of the housing () are provided on the upper surface of the housing ().

A manufacturing method is provided for a terminal () that has a board connecting portion () to be connected to a circular through hole (B) formed to penetrate through a board (B). The manufacturing method includes a wire drawing step of manufacturing a wire material having a polygonal cross-section with obtuse interior angles by drawing the wire material through an opening of a wire drawing die, the opening having a polygonal shape with obtuse inner angles. The method then includes a surface processing step of applying a surface processing to the wire material, and a cutting step of cutting the wire material having the surface processing applied thereto to a specified length to form the terminal ().

Terminal manufacturing method

A terminal assembly includes a wire including a core made of metal and covered with a coating, a terminal including a wire connecting portion connected to an end portion of the wire, a sealing resin sealing the wire connecting portion, and a housing including a through hole with a front opening and a rear opening. The terminal is made of a different kind of metal from the core of the wire. The housing accommodates the terminal in the through hole. The wire connecting portion includes an exposed portion not covered with the sealing resin and unexposed portions covered with the sealing resin. The exposed portion is positioned between the unexposed portions in a front and rear direction, thereby protecting the wire connecting portion from electrolytic corrosion. The exposed portion is obtained after the sealing resin is worn by being rubbed against an inner wall of the through hole.

Anti-corrosion structure for wire connecting portion

An aluminum electric wire () has a metallic core wire () coated with an insulation coating (). A female terminal fitting () made of metal different from the core wire () has a wire barrel () to be connected to the aluminum electric wire (). A solder seal () is formed of solder having a main component with an ionizing tendency close to that of the terminal fitting. The wire barrel () is crimped to the core wire () exposed by peeling off the insulation coating () of the aluminum electric wire () and partially sealed with the solder. A seal connection portion () connects the insulation coating (), the exposed core wire () and the solder seal () to each other in a condition where the coating () and the solder seal () are sealed off from each other.

Electric wire equipped with terminal fitting and method of manufacturing the same

A crimped electric wire with a terminal, includes: an electric wire having a core wire made of aluminum or aluminum alloy; and a terminal fitting having an electric wire crimping section for crimping the core wire partly exposed from the electric wire, wherein: a value obtained by dividing the height of the electric wire crimping section by the width of the electric wire crimping section after the crimping of the electric wire crimping section is set to 0.5 or more and 0.6 or less; and the value obtained by dividing the gross cross-sectional area of the core wire after the crimping of the electric wire crimping section by the gross cross-sectional area of the core wire before the crimping of the electric wire crimping section is set to 55% or more and 65% or less.

A circuit board connector with no delay (skew) of signals and no crosstalk of signals. In a circuit board connector, a plurality of terminals having horizontal portions to be connected to ends of electric wires and vertical portions extending downward from one ends of the horizontal portions and arranged to be connected to a signal pattern of a printed circuit board are included, vertical portions of upper terminals are located on the back side of vertical portions of lower terminals, are bent in the width directions, and the path lengths of the upper terminals and of the lower terminals are equal. Circuit board connector

An outer conductor terminal by which locking force of its crimping pieces at a braid section of a coaxial wire is improved, preventing the coaxial wire from being pulled out of the terminal. The outer conductor terminal, which is attached to an end of a coaxial wire having an inner conductor, an outer conductor as a braid provided around the inner conductor via insulation, and a sheath covering the braid, has a crimp section having a pair of crimping pieces which are made to overlap on and crimped onto an end of the braid of the coaxial wire, wherein an edge portion of the inside crimping piece of the outer conductor terminal on a terminal top side locks the end of the braid.
