To allow a call received from an accommodated device to arrive at the other party by diverting the call from an IP network to a detour network even with different numbering systems between communications over the IP network and over the detour network. A VoIP gateway apparatusincludes an ISDN terminal side IF portion, an IP network side IF portion, an ISDN network side IF portion, a condition storage portion, a detour determining portion, and a number editing portion. The detour determining portiondetermines whether a call arriving at the ISDN terminal side IF portionsatisfies a detour condition stored in the condition storage portionor not. If so, the number editing portionedits the called party number of the call under a number editing condition stored in the condition storage portionand then transmits it from the ISDN network side IF portion. If not, the call is transmitted from the IP network side IF portionwithout editing the called party number.

VoIP gateway apparatus

A VoIP gateway apparatus is used to provide an IP centrex service to accommodated devices. The VoIP gateway apparatus () assigns, to a call originated from an accommodated device (PBX), a telephone number for which the number of simultaneous call connections has not reached a simultaneous connection tolerance number, and sends the call to an IP centrex network () with the assigned telephone number used as a calling number. The VoIP gateway apparatus () includes a number-of-calls management part () and a SIP processing part (). The number-of-calls management part () manages the number of the current simultaneous call connections for each of the telephone numbers as assigned to the apparatus. When a call is received from an accommodated device, a SIP processing part () selects, among the telephone numbers as assigned to the apparatus, a telephone number, for which the number of the current simultaneous call connections as managed by the number-of-calls management part () is smaller than the predetermined simultaneous connection tolerance number, and then transmits, to the IP centrex network (), a SIP packet of a call control message to which the selected telephone number has been added as the calling number.

The ATM equipment includes a voice circuit interfacing section connecting to voice devices, an interchange channel interfacing section connecting ATM lines, a cell composing and decomposing section celling voice signals from the voice circuit interfacing section and also decelling a cell received from the interchange channel interfacing section to produce voice signals, a SVC control section performing connecting/cutting control of a telephone call path in the ATM lines by a switch type virtual connection method, and a main control section connecting the interchange channel interfacing section to the voice circuit interfacing section when the voice devices are called in the case when the SVC control section performs the connecting and cutting control of the telephone call path in the ATM lines.

A maintenance and supervising system and method for a multiplex communication system having mutually connected multiple pieces of multiplex communication equipment. A call controller executes call control by common channel signaling. A multiplexer multiplexes multiple communication data, and a fixed connection allocation device allocates multiplexed data within a multiplex circuit fixedly. A dynamic connection allocation device allocates multiplexed data within the multiplex circuit dynamically, and a piece of connection form switching equipment is provided. A piece of terminal equipment for maintenance and supervising is connected to one of the pieces of multiplex communication equipment. A call connection message is transmitted via common channel signaling, and the piece of maintenance and supervising equipment and the piece of multiplex communication equipment to be maintained and supervised are connected by securing a dynamic connection band in a multiplex circuit at the time of maintenance and supervising. The dynamic connection band is used for normal communication when not in use for maintenance and supervising.

Multiplex communication equipment 1A used in a multiplex communication system, has a memory portion 12 memorizing the equipment number for the communication test. When there is an incoming call with reference to the same equipment number as one of the multiplex line 1A from the multiplex line 2A, the accommodation line portion 14a under setting a loop receives the incoming call and the communication test is done through a route for the communication test. When there is no accommodation line under setting the loop, the incoming call is rejected.

A multiplex communication equipment which can switch circuits and which enables cost saving in circuit usage of a public network when the circuit is switched. Multiplex communication equipment 1 with circuit switching control, which is selectively connected to either an active circuit 5, having a large transmission line, or a spare circuit 6, having limited transmission line. A data terminal interface (I/F) 18 is connected to data terminal equipment 2, and a voice terminal I/F 17 is connected to voice terminal equipment 3. An active circuit I/F 13 is connected to circuit 5, and a spare circuit I/F 14 is connected to circuit 6. A multiplexing control section 16 multiplexes data and voice information, and a circuit switching section 15 switches circuits. A control section 11 controls the aforementioned sections, and a memory 12 stores multiplexed information of the active circuit and the spare circuit and circuit switching information, and keeps circuit speed slow by multiplexing minimum required information only at the spare circuit, thus saving the circuit usage charge.
