A paper producing apparatus includes: a sieve portion having a plurality of openings; a web forming portion having a deposition surface on which a material passing through the openings and containing fibers is deposited, the web forming portion forming a web on the deposition surface; a sheet forming portion that processes the web into a sheet; and a material supply pipe through which transport airflow containing the material is supplied to an inside of the sieve portion.

A web manufacturing apparatus includes a transport section configured to transport a web containing fiber, a web humidifier configured to humidify the web, and a control section configured to control operation of the transport section and the web humidifier. When transportation of the web by the transport section is stopped, the control section causes the transport section to recommence transportation of the web after the web is humidified by the web humidifier. The control section may also cause the web humidifier to stop humidification of the web after the web humidifier starts humidification of the web and a predetermined duration elapses.

A sheet manufacturing apparatus includes a classifier unit configured to classify by air flow an introduced material that has been introduced, a screening unit configured to allow a classified material, which comprises fibers, that has been classified by the classifier unit to pass through a plurality of openings to screen the classified material, and a forming unit configured to use a passed material that has passed through the openings to form a sheet. The classified material is supplied to the screening unit by the air flow.

A sheet manufacturing apparatus includes a defibrating unit configured to defibrate a stock material including fibers, a screening unit configured to allow a defibrated material that has been defibrated at the defibrating unit to pass through a plurality of openings, and a forming unit configured to form a sheet by using a passed material that has passed through the openings. The screening unit has a sieve unit having the openings, and a transferring unit that is located below the sieve unit and with which the cross-sectional area of an internal space in a horizontal direction decreases going downward.

A sheet manufacturing apparatus includes: a defibrating unit which defibrates a defibration object including fibers; a cylinder unit which allows a defibrated material which is defibration-processed in the defibrating unit to pass through a plurality of holes that is on a cylindrical surface by rotating; a housing unit which covers the cylinder unit so that the plurality of holes is included therein; a supplying unit which supplies additive agents that bonds the plurality of fibers, on an outer side of the cylinder unit to an inner side of the housing unit; and a bonding unit which forms a sheet by bonding the fibers and the additive agents.

A developing device includes: a developer storage portion which stores a liquid developer including toner and carrier liquid; a first coating member which rotates and coats the liquid developer stored in the developer storage portion; a second coating member which comes into contact with the first coating member and rotates in a direction opposite to that of the first coating member and slower than a rotary peripheral velocity of the first coating member; and a developer supporting body which comes into contact with the second coating member and rotates in the same direction as that of the second coating member and faster than a rotary peripheral velocity of the second coating member.

A developing device includes a developer storage portion that stores a liquid developer including toner and carrier liquid. A first coating member rotates and coats the liquid developer stored in the developer storage portion. A second coating member contacts the first coating member and rotates in a direction opposite to that of the first coating member. A developer supporting body contacts the second coating member and rotates in the same direction as that of the second coating member. A contact member contacts the liquid developer coated on the second coating member by the first coating member.
