To reduce power consumption of a receiver that acquires its current position by using a signal from a satellite. The receiver includes a reception section, a signal processing section, and a positioning process section. In this receiver, the reception section receives a signal from a predetermined satellite as a reception signal. The signal processing section performs a process of determining whether or not a reception signal received from the reception section includes a specific message. The positioning process section performs a positioning process of acquiring a current position in a case where the reception signal includes a specific message.

Receiver and control method of the same

The presence or absence of a preamble is detected with accuracy in a reception apparatus that receives a signal including a preamble. A reception section receives a subframe including a subframe preamble and a message and a frame including a frame preamble. A processing section performs a process of detecting the presence or absence of the subframe preamble according to whether or not a given relation holds between a reception timing of the subframe preamble and a reception timing of the frame preamble. A message decoding section extracts the message from the subframe and decodes the message in a case where the presence of the subframe preamble is detected.

Reception apparatus and reception method

A Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) enabled device includes an inertial sensor and receiver circuitry to track a position of the GNSS enabled device. The receiver circuitry selects a mode of a GNSS technology based on power available at the GNSS enabled device and a positioning error value associated with the mode of the GNSS technology. The positioning error value associated with the selected mode is less than a specified accuracy threshold. The receiver circuitry calibrates the inertial sensor based on the selected mode of the GNSS technology to track the position of the GNSS enabled device to reduce the overall power consumption at the GNSS enabled device.

A power receiving device of the disclosure includes a power generator, a detector, and a controller. The power generator includes a power receiving element that receives a power signal supplied in a wireless manner from a power feeding device, and generates direct current power on the basis of the power signal. The detector includes a detection element, and drives the detection element and detects an alternating current signal generated in the detection element, during a power receiving period in which the power receiving element receives the power signal. The controller controls the power feeding device on the basis of a detection result of the detector.
