A connector unit which prevents a user from contacting a first terminal fitting when fitting a first connector and a second connector together is provided. A connector unitincludes a first connectorhaving a first housingreceiving a first terminal fittingand a contact-preventive housingdisposed between the first terminal fitting and the first housing, and a second housing to be fitted to the first housing. The contact-preventive housing includes a tension springhaving one end fixed at an outer circumference of the contact-preventive housing and the other end being a free-end arranged to engage to the first housing to restrict the contact-preventive housing from sliding. The second housing includes an entering portionwhich enters between the tension spring and the first housing and pushes the tension spring to disengage the tension spring to permit the contact-preventive housing to slide.

Connector unit

In order to avoid cost for accommodating a shield wire in a housing while bending, and smoothly and readily accommodate within the housing while the shield electric wire is insulated, a conductive housingincluding a rear wallcontinuing to an annular wall, and a tube wallcontinuing to down the rear wall, a method comprising the steps of: passing through a shield electric wirefrom a lower openingof the tube wall of the conductive housing to a front openingof the annular wall while bending the shield electric wire; putting a shield terminalmovably around the shield electric wire from top of the shield electric wire; exposing a core wireand a braidof the shield electric wire by stripping a tip thereof; connecting an L-shaped terminalto the core wire; mounting an L-shaped insulation inner housingoutside the L-shaped terminal; connecting the shield terminal to the braid; and accommodating a vertical partof the inner housing within the conductive housing by pulling in the shield electric wire in an direction contrary to that of the shield electric wire having being passed through, so as to project a horizontal partof the inner housing from the front opening.

Method for manufacturing connector

To electromagnetically-shield an L-shaped terminal in a compact and reliable manner while easily and securely fixing the L-shaped terminal, there is employed an insulating split inner housing having an L-shaped terminal receiving portion including an electric-contact-portion-side receiving portion covering an electric contact portion of the L-shaped terminal connected to a shielded wire and a wire-connection-portion-side receiving portion covering a wire connection portion of the L-shaped terminal, the electric-contact-portion-side receiving portion is covered by a conductive shield shell, the wire-connection-portion-side receiving portion is covered by a conductive housing connected to the shield shell and to a shield portion of the shielded wire, and the L-shaped terminal is insulated by the inner housing from the shield shell and the conductive housing.

Insulating structure for L-shaped terminal

A shield connector includes a housing and a shield terminal. The housing, has a tubular shape so that a shield electric wire is inserted thereinto, and is attached to an objective body so as to communicate with an insert hole of the objective body. The shield terminal, has a tubular shape, is electrically conductive, is attached to an inner peripheral side of the housing, and is electrically conducted to the objective body and the shield layer. A seal member having a tubular shape is provided between an inner periphery of the insert hole and the shield electric wire and between the shield terminal and the shield electric wire, so as to seal a part between the inner periphery of the insert hole and an outer periphery of the shield electric wire and a part between an inner periphery of the shield terminal and the outer periphery of the shield electric wire.

Shield connector

A connecting structure of shield terminals configured to tighten and connect a pair of shield terminals with a single bolt simultaneously in a smaller space, the structure includes: two shield terminals each having a circular portion into which a braided wire of a shield electric wire is inserted and connected, a plate portion extended from the ring-shaped portion along the shield electric wire, and a projecting piece extended perpendicular to the plate portion from a tip of the plate portion and having a bolt-insertion hole at the center thereof, wherein one wall of the projecting piece is positioned on an extension of a center line (m) of the ring-shaped portion, wherein one shield terminal is inverted 180 degree, and wherein the one wall of the projecting piece of the one shield terminal is overlapped with and abuts on the one wall of the projecting piece of the other shield terminal.

Connecting structure of shield terminals

An object is to surely connect and disconnect the safety circuit for connectors with good workability. A low insertion force connector unit with a safety circuit unitis adopted. The low insertion force connector unit with a safety circuit unitincludes: a driving leverhaving an arc-shaped gear, an arc-shaped notchcontinued to the gear, an arc-shaped cam grooveformed in the same radius from a center axis 'm', and a straight groovecontinued to the cam groove; a gear unithaving a circular gearmeshed with the arc-shaped gear and a spiral groove, and attached to the one connector; a first driven projectionprovided on the other connector, and engaged with the spiral groove; one small connectorof the safety circuit unitprovided on the one connector movably in a connector fitting direction; a second driven projectionprovided on the one small connector; and the other small connectorof the safety circuit unitfixed to the other connector.

Low insertion force connector unit with safety circuit unit

An L-shaped connector, which can waterproof simply and connect an L-shape terminal to an electric shield wire in miniaturized size so as to insulate and electromagnetic shield the L-shaped terminal, includes an L-shaped dividable insulation inner housing receiving an L-shaped terminal joined to the electric shield wire; an electric conductive shield shell covering a terminal receiving portion of the inner housing; an outer housing covering the shield shell; an electric conductive housing receiving a wire lead-out portion of the inner housing, and joining a flange of the shield shell and a flange of the outer housing to a flange of the electric conductive housing by screwing, and connecting a shield portion of the electric shield wire through a shield terminal to the shield shell; and a shield packing waterproofing between the flange of the shield shell and the flange of the electric conductive shell.

L-shaped connector

An object of the present invention is to provide a watertight shield connector able to waterproof successfully without an effect of a parting line, and surely preventing an annular packing or a shield shell from falling out with a plain structure. A connector which can be made small is provided. Connector

A connector including seal bodies having an excellent sealing characteristic. The seal body puts an electric wire between the seal body and the other seal body so as to maintain a watertight characteristic between the electric wire and the seal bodies. The seal body includes: an abutting surface of the seal body, which abuts against a mating abutting surface of the other seal body when the seal bodies overlap each other; a groove which positions the electric wire inside the seal bodies; a lip part which projects from an inner surface of the groove and from the abutting surface.

Seal body and connector including the same

A rubber stopper for a waterproof connector includes: a first elastic member including a first contact face, and first wire fitting grooves each having an arc cross-section; and a second elastic member including a second contact face and second wire fitting grooves each having an arc cross-section. When the first contact face contacts the second contact face, circular cross-section is formed by the arc cross-sections of the first and second wire fitting grooves to fit wires into the first and second wire fitting grooves. Arc length of the arc cross-section of the first wire fitting groove is different from arc length of the arc cross-section of the second wire fitting groove so that a center of the circular cross-section is disposed away from the first and second contact faces in a direction perpendicular to an extending direction of the first and the second contact faces.

Rubber stopper for waterproof connector and waterproof connector

A board-connecting connector including a pair of inner housings opposed to each other for receiving elastic contact terminals with respect to a circuit board, a guiding plate having a sloped guiding part for engaging inner housing-driven projections and guiding the inner housings close to each other, and an outer housing for receiving the inner housings and the guide plate, and holding the guide plate. When the circuit board is fully inserted into the pair of inner housings, the circuit board abuts on the inner housings, and pushes to move the inner housings along the guiding plate.

Board-connecting connector

A slotis formed on each of both side walls of a connector housing. A housing attachment portionof each fixing metal memberis inserted into and locked in an associated one of the slots. The housing attachment portionis divided by a slitformed in a central part thereof into both side arms, each of which has a hookprovided at the top thereof. Each of the armsis inwardly bent when the associated hook passes through the slot. After the top of each of the armspasses therethrough, each of the armsis restored from the bent condition so as to engage the hookswith the associated slot. An engaging projection portionis provided in an inner wall of each of the slotssuch that each of the engaging projection portionsis pushed out to the side of the associated slotand fit into the slitby inserting a mating connectorinto a connecting concave portionto thereby prevent the arms from being inwardly bent.

Surface-mounted connector

A connector includes a first and a second terminal portions each having: a substrate pressing portion; a spacer pressing portion; and a fulcrum portion arranged between the substrate pressing portion and the spacer pressing portion, a spacer arranged between the spacer pressing portions of the first and the second terminal portions, and a clipping section formed of the substrate pressing portions of the first and the second terminal portions. The clipping section opens and closes while operating the fulcrum portions as a fulcrum. The spacer pressing portions of the first and the second terminal portions close via the fulcrum when the clipping section opens.

The object of the invention is to provide a connector assembly having enough waterproof performance, without needing high insertion force during the assembly process. In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a connector assemblycomprising a plug assemblya header assemblyconfigured to be mated with the plug assemblywhile forming an opening between the plug assemblyand the inside of the header assemblyholder assembliesandconfigured to apply pressure on the plug assembly in the direction of insertion of the plug assemblyinto the header assemblyand a sealing memberconfigured to be pushed out toward the opening in response to the pressure applied by the holder assembliesandafter insertion of the plug assemblyinto the header assemblyin order to plug and seal the opening.
