A propylene-ethylene-butene block copolymer is provided which includes from 60 to 85% by weight of a polypropylene portion and from 15 to 40% by weight of a propylene-ethylene-butene random copolymer portion, wherein the copolymer satisfies the requirements (1) and (2) given below. In addition, a molded article including such a propylene-ethylene-butene block copolymer is provided. (1) The random copolymer portion includes a propylene-ethylene random copolymer component (EP) and a propylene-ethylene-butene random copolymer component (EPB) and the copolymer component (EP) has an intrinsic viscosity of from 1.5 to 8 dl/g and an ethylene unit content of from 20 to 50% by weight, and the copolymer component (EPB) has an intrinsic viscosity of from 0.5 to 8 dl/g, an ethylene unit content of from 47 to 77% by weight and a butene unit component of from 3 to 33% by weight and the total of the ethylene unit content and the butene unit content is from 50 to 80% by weight. (2): The propylene-ethylene-butene block copolymer has a melt flow rate of from 5 to 120 g/10 min.

An apparatus and method for continuous polymerization of olefin(s), and a method for transferring a polymer powder from one reactor to another in the apparatus are disclosed. The apparatus includes a plurality of serially disposed gas-phase polymerization reactors including a combination of an upstream and downstream reactors and a gas exchange vessel disposed between both reactors. The gas exchange vessel is connected to the upstream and downstream reactors by a first and second transfer conduits, respectively. The gas exchange vessel has a gas distributor plate therein which partitions the gas exchange vessel into an upper section having a gas exchange chamber and a lower section. In the gas exchange chamber, the gas transferred from the upstream reactor together with a polymer powder is exchange at least partly with fresh gas introduced through the gas distributor plate via the lower section. The polymer powder is then transferred to the downstream reactor.

Disclosed is a stretched film excellent in low-temperature heat sealability after corona treatment as well as that before corona treatment and/or in heat shrinkability, the stretched film being comprised of a layer comprising a copolymer of propylene with &agr;-olefin and/or ethylene such that in measurement of a DSC curve the amount of the heat absorbed in the temperature range of from T&minus;10 (&deg; C.) to T&plus;10 (&deg; C.) accounts for from 15 to 36% of the amount of the heat absorbed in the temperature range of from 53 to 170&deg; C., wherein T denotes a temperature (&deg; C.) at which a maximum endothermic peak appears in the DSC curve.

C., wherein the difference in transparency in terms of haze between prior to and posterior to the 1-hour treatment at 110.degree. C of a 150 .mu.m thick film obtained by forming said copolymer into a film by extrusion is 8% or less. According to the present invention, a block copolymer having a good transparency and improved impact resistance at a low temperature, and further exhibiting less bleeding at high-temperature heat treatment, can be provided.
