Provided is a thermoplastic polymer composition, including a thermoplastic elastomer (A) and a polyvinyl acetal (B), wherein the thermoplastic elastomer (A) is a styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer or an olefin-based thermoplastic elastomer. Thus, a thermoplastic polymer composition is provided that has good flexibility as a thermoplastic elastomer composition, is excellent in mechanical properties and formability, and also itself has excellent adhesion to a ceramic, a metal, or a polar polymer. In addition, provided is a shaped article in which the thermoplastic polymer composition is adhered to a ceramic, a metal, or a polar polymer, in particular a shaped article adhered to a glass.

Thermoplastic polymer composition and shaped article composed of the same

Provided is a polyoxyalkylene modified vinyl alcohol-based polymer comprising a polyoxyalkylene group in a side chain, wherein the polymer has a viscosity average degree of polymerization of not less than 150 and not more than 5000, a degree of saponification of not less than 40 mol % and not more than 99.99 mol %, and a polyoxyalkylene group modification rate of not less than 0.05 mol % and not more than 10 mol %; and the polyoxyalkylene group is composed of a polyoxypropylene block and a (poly)oxyethylene block and is represented by the following general formula (I). Such polymer is excellent in temperature-sensitive thickening properties. 

Polyoxyalkylene modified vinyl alcohol-based polymer and use thereof

Provided is a thermoplastic acrylic resin composition comprising a methacrylic resin (A) and a polyvinyl acetal resin (B) obtained by acetalizing a polyvinyl alcohol resin with an aldehyde having 4 or more carbon atoms and an aldehyde having 3 or less carbon atoms in which the total amount of the vinyl alcohol units acetalized with the aldehyde having 4 or more carbon atoms and the aldehyde having 3 or less carbon atoms is 65 to 85 mol % of all repeating units, and the molar ratio of the vinyl alcohol unit acetalized with the aldehyde having 4 or more carbon atoms to the vinyl alcohol unit acetalized with the aldehyde having 3 or less carbon atoms is from 90/10 to 0/100. Furthermore, provided are an article molded from the thermoplastic acrylic resin composition and a method of producing the thermoplastic acrylic resin composition comprising the steps of mixing a methacrylic resin (A) and a polyvinyl acetal resin (B), increasing the resin temperature to 160&#xb0; C. or more, and then decreasing the resin temperature to 120&#xb0; C. or less.

Thermoplastic acrylic resin composition

An acrylic thermoplastic resin composition is obtained by melt-kneading a methacrylic resin (A) and a polyvinyl acetal resin (B) at a resin temperature of not less than 140&#xb0; C. while applying shear at a shear rate of 100 secor more, and then cooling the kneaded product to not more than 120&#xb0; C. In the acrylic thermoplastic resin composition, at least the methacrylic resin (A) forms a continuous phase, and among glass transition temperatures of the acrylic thermoplastic resin composition, a glass transition temperature Tgascribed to the methacrylic resin (A) indicates a value between a glass transition temperature (Tg) of the methacrylic resin (A) alone and a glass transition temperature (Tg) of the polyvinyl acetal resin (B) alone. A film- or sheet-like molded article is obtained by molding the resin composition. An acrylic resin composite is obtained by laying a layer of metal and/or metal oxide on at least one side of the acrylic resin molded article.
