The present disclosure aims at allowing a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) pattern suitable for a terminal to be selected from among a plurality of DMRS patterns including Legacy DMRS and Reduced DMRS. Disclosed is a terminal including: reception sectionthat receives uplink control information; control sectionthat determines a specific mapping pattern from among a plurality of mapping patterns for an uplink DMRS on the basis of the control information; and DMRS generating sectionthat generates a DMRS according to the specific mapping pattern.

Disclosed is a base station capable of appropriately configuring a resource on which an EPDCCH is located when soft combining is applied. The base station includes a configuration section that configures an EPDCCH set in a plurality of subframes, where the EPDCCH set is formed of ECCEs to which control information (assignment information) transmitted over the plurality of subframes is assigned. The base station includes an assignment section that assigns the control information to any of the ECCEs in each of the plurality of subframes.

When downlink data allocation is indicated in an ePDCCH, this terminal device can determine PUCCH resources to be used in notification of response signals indicating results of error detection of downlink data without imposing scheduling restrictions on future DL subframes. In this device, an extraction unit receives downlink data on multiple unit bands. A CRC unit detects errors in the downlink data. A response signal generation unit generates a response signal by using the results of error detection of the downlink data obtained by the CRC unit. The control unit arranges the response signal in the PUCCH resources corresponding to the current DL subframe.

The purpose of the present invention is to avoid ACK/NACK collision in a system in which E-PDCCH control information is transmitted, increase the utilization efficiency of ACK/NACK resources, and suppress unnecessary PUSCH band reduction.
